Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner.
God is near to those who stand afar off. If we want God to be near us, let us too go and stand afar off.
Fasting does not earn us Heaven. No action of ours earns us Heaven. Only the mercy of God can make us heavenly beings.
You are not the exception; you are not the sinless one. You, like others, need the mercy of God. Rejoice in that.
