Leaders make mistakes. When you close your eyes, your heart, to compassion toward others, it will lead to "vomit." Vomit is foul-tasting and foul-smelling. The result will be people who question your service as a leader who is dedicated to God's agenda of healing the wounded. This episode speaks of Jonah, a preacher, who wanted compassion for himself but could not understand why God, who is slow to anger, slowed mercy toward that nation - the people of Nineveh. In other words, "Slow me mercy, God; but not them."

Barnabas - I need one! Today, I stand with you as a Barnabas. Who was he? What was he about? People seem to have two things: an appetite and an opinion (perspective).  That is an old saying of my grandmother about people in general.
