Description

For me, these Films R the Juice is a personal and lighthearted insight into my favourite and most watched films. Inspired by two amazing podcasts which have reignited my passion for films, each episode will include film deep dives, scene breakdowns, trivia and terrible impressions. Episodes 1 to 7 are just me. Episode 8 onwards also has a fantastic guest joining me to talk all about various film topics. Enjoy!

We're back!! :-) The first episode in almost 1 year and it's a cracker. Myself and Wayne G recast the classic A Few Good Men. Listen, Like, Share and Enjoy :-)Β
I'm joined again by Alain and David from I Finally Watched...Podcast to talk all things Heat and Heat 2. We discuss further thoughts on the classic 1995 Michael Mann film, our enjoyment of the recent sequel (in Novel form) trying our best not to give anything away, take part in a Vincent Hanna impression off (mine and David's voices don't sound the same for the rest of the episode) and then cast the adaptation of Heat 2. Alain and David's typical banter and bickering really made its way on to this episode and I enjoyed every moment of it. I really enjoyed recording this episode with A & D, it was a great conversation about a film and book that I think we all believe are classics within their own genres. Please listen, share, review and enjoy πŸ˜€
Myself and the lovely guys from the Cherry Bombs Podcast, Dustin and Nik, talk about our top 5 Biopics. We discuss why these Films resonate with us so much and run through some of the other great Biopics which didn't quite make our top 5s. Dustin and Nik also talk about their Podcast, it's inspirations and the types of films they cover. It was a great conversation that I enjoyed very much and can't wait for people to listen to. Please listen, share, review and enjoy πŸ˜€
On this episode I am joined by Wayne from Recasted 2.0 and Edward from The 80s Movie Podcast to complete a Tom Cruise Film Draft. We are each tasked with picking 2 Tom Cruise films each from the 80s, 90s, 00s and 10s and the winner will be decided via a vote on various social media platforms. Wayne, Edward and myself made up call signs to go by while completing the Draft - Wayne = Starscream, Edward = Hotshot and Steve = Riptide. Wayne and Edward also have the opportunity to discuss their podcasts and thoughts on Tom Cruise in general. It's a great listen with some very funny and interesting anecdotes from Edward along the way. Please listen, rate, share and enjoy :-)
Episode 9 is a very special episode in which I am joined by by two very old and good friends, Dan and Dean. Together we discuss our shared love of all things movies and in particular, Al Pacino and Robert DeNiro. We complete a Pacino DeNiro head to head comparison and summarise our thoughts about them 18 years ago and today. Thank you for listening and enjoy!
Episode 8 is the first in which you will hear some new voices on the podcast. The great guys from the I Finally Watched...Podcast, Alain and David, join me to discuss all things Paul Thomas Anderson. The main topic of conversation is our personal top 5 performances in all PTA films. Alain and David also talk about their podcast and we all highlight some of the podcasts that we've been listening to recently. If you enjoy the sound of Alain and David's PTA musings on this episode, please give their podcast a listen here. Thank you and enjoy!
The podcast will be going through some changes over the coming weeks. Listen to what these exciting changes will be. I also shout out some other great podcasters and share my top 3 Batman films of all time. Enjoy πŸ˜€
A comparison of arguably the two greatest films of this century so far. Two films filmed at the same time, in part in the same place, westerns(ish), adaptations of best selling novels, Oscar contenders and possibly the pinnacles of both filmmakers careers...Enjoy πŸ˜€
Thank yous, dedications and reflections on the year (well the last 4 months) 2021. No specific film breakdowns or personal takes but instead a positive look at the year that was and a tiny look at what's to come in 2022. Enjoy πŸ˜€
A personal and lighthearted take on one of the cultiest of cult films, Edgar Wright's underrated masterpiece Scott Pilgrim vs The World. Tell it to the cleaning lady on Monday and enjoy πŸ˜€
Happy Halloween πŸŽƒ please enjoy my personal and lighthearted analysis of the original 'slasher film' Psycho. It's a total masterpiece which has so much depth to it and can be analysed on various levels. I hope you enjoy πŸ˜€
A lighthearted and personal insight into one of the best British (comedy) films of all time. It's a film that means a lot to me, works on various levels and in some ways is even more relevant today than it was when originally released in 2004.
The first full episode of For me, these Films R the Juice will be a lighthearted and personal insight into my 'favourite' film, Pulp Fiction. We'll be talking everything from bringing out Gimps to Watches in asses. Enjoy! πŸ˜€
