Wayne State University has started a women's soccer program and Doug Steinard is in charge of the new program! We sat down with Doug to discuss the new program, how the recruiting process is going, what his goals for 2026 are and how nice of an area it is in Mid-Town around the Wayne State campus in Detroit!!
Notre Dame Women's Soccer went 15-2-3 in 2025. Head coach, Nate Norman, sits down with Brooks to discuss the 2025 season and the upcoming 2026 recruiting class. They also talk about MAC Hermann Finalist, Izzy Engle, and how great of teammate she is and how hard she works on the field. Nate gives his views on the two-semester season and who has influenced him as a coach.
Roger Faulkner has had a huge impact on soccer in the United State, particularly in Michigan. In his new book, "You Can't Get There From Here", Faulkner talks about his journey from Derby in the UK to Detroit, Michigan and how he got involved in the game of soccer. Faulkner would help start the Detroit Express as well as bring the 1994 World Cup to the Pontiac Silverdome. His book is on pre-order for 25.95 (Hardcover) and $19.95 (Softcover). Joey Calistri grew up in the Chicago suburbs. He played high school soccer for four years, played with the Chicago Fire Academy for two years and played four years at Northwestern University before playing pro soccer. Joey sat down with Brooks to speak about his soccer journey and the adversity he faced early on that helped him make it to the pro game.
Florida State Women's Soccer Head Coach, Brian Pensky, has been a head coach in women's college soccer for 20 years. Brooks Laimbeer had a chance to sit down with Brian and discuss the 2025 Season and the 2026 Recruiting class. The two also discussed as a high school recruit do you pick a school for their academics, where they are located or for the soccer program? Brian tells us who has had a huge influence on his coaching career as well as how great it is to see the professional women's soccer game expanding here in the United States.
Michigan State Women's Soccer made it to their first ever Elite Eight in 2025! It's been nothing but positive momentum since Jeff Hosler became the head coach in 2021. Coach Hosler sat down with Brooks to discuss the 2025 season, the 2026 recruiting class, who has influenced him in his soccer career and more! Jeff also gives some great advice for current high school players going through the recruiting process.

Rich Nasiff played at Northwestern University and coached men's college soccer for 17 years. Brooks and Rich discuss the topic of recruiting and player identification at the youth and college levels.
