In this episode, I talk to Jennifer Jensen about embracing a more authentic, ego-free approach. Jennifer shares how emerging leaders can close the leadership gap and build lasting influence rooted in self-trust and team connection.
Introduction
Hello, I'm Jennifer Jensen, and I'm passionate about transforming leaders into their most authentic selves. In a world where leadership is often seen as a title rather than a journey of self-awareness and team collaboration, my mission is to support leaders in embracing authenticity and unlocking their true potential.
I address the complexities of leadership through one-on-one advisory sessions, comprehensive six-month or one-year leadership programs, and industry-leading tools such as Lumina Spark, Leader, and Leader 360 psychometrics. These methods cultivate insight, effectiveness, and meaningful change for leaders and their teams.
My clients often express that working with me is extremely insightful, productive, and transformational. They recognize the value of self-awareness and authentic collaboration, often wishing they had started this journey sooner. I'm here to guide emerging managers and directors—those eager to bridge the gap in leadership capabilities and become influential leaders in their fields.
My passion for this work stems from witnessing the impact of leadership gaps firsthand. It's disheartening how few people can point to more than one or two great leaders they've encountered in their careers. I am committed to closing this gap by mentoring and advising upcoming leaders in a way that truly supports their growth and readiness for our ever-evolving world.
My unique perspective is rooted in years of managing teams without traditional authority but with full accountability. This experience taught me to adapt my leadership style and become an effective motivator and collaborator. I've captured this journey in my book, "Developing Authentic Leaders," where I share a common-sense approach to leadership that's surprisingly uncommon.
Audiences love my straightforward and engaging style, and I bring a wealth of real-world experience and actionable insights to every speaking engagement. Let's work together to foster the authentic leaders of tomorrow—leaders who will not only survive but thrive in today’s complex landscape.

In this episode I talk to Tracy Wallace about how her life experiences have helped her cultivate emotional intelligence so that she can support herself and others.
Introduction
A Southern California native, Tracy grew up in a suburb just outside of Los Angeles proper, navigating the world as an only child. After graduating from USC with a Bachelor's in Business Administration, she opened her own retail store in Old Pasadena - a men's clothing store - and became integral to the area, being asked to serve on the area's inaugural Business Improvement District's Board.
Remaining an entrepreneur at heart, over the next 30 years, she went on to become a professional fundraiser for a host of nonprofits, and raised over $35 million for a number of causes, including homelessness, youth services and animal rescue. At the same time, she fulfilled a lifelong dream of becoming a stand-up comedian and performing in the top local clubs. She did this all while taking care of her Type 1 diabetic husband, bunnies, a horse, dogs and a cat.
Now going onto its third year, she brings a special perspective to her podcast, The Only Child Diaries, sharing stories to help others in their life journey, while laughing through it all.
