Jamal Murray remained hot and Nikola Jokic trusted his guys again as he pulled in another triple double. The Nuggets held Luka Doncic to 0 points in the 4th after allowing 27 through three quarters. The Nuggets are starting to win clutch games and tonight was one of their best clutch wins of the season. Koz was on the call to bring you through it all from Ball Arena!
The Avalanche defeated the Anaheim Ducks 5-1 with Parker Kelly getting 2 goals and Jack Drury,Brock Nelson, and Cale Makar all getting two assits. The Avalanche will now fly home to take on the Stars at home on Friday March 6th.
The Avalanche complete the season sweep of the Kings and become the first team this season to cross the 40 point threshold, beating LA 4-2. The Avs are back in action tomorrow night taking on the Ducks in Anaheim.
Jamal Murray was in full Blue Arrow mode as he had 45 POINTS! The Nuggets found themselves in another close game on the road but tonight they found a way to pull it out. The secret to tonight's win? Starting Jonas Valanciunas with Nikola Jokic. The twin tower lineup gave the Nuggets a boost to open the game and after halftime. Koz was on the call tonight!
The Denver Nuggets saw this game slip out of their hands in the 2nd Quarter and never could get a full grip of it back. The Timberwolves saw the 4th seed at the end of the tunnel and ran right for it. The T-Wolves had six players in double figures with three of them shooting 50% or better. Joker and Jamal took 48 of the 85 shots for the Nuggets and it led to the 'others' not finding their form in time. The Nuggets will play the Jazz at 7PM MT on Monday night. Two goals from Cale Makar and a third from Gavin Brindley put the Avalanche over the Blackhawks 3-1 on Saturday night. Up next the Avs head to LA to take on the Kings on Monday night.
Rapids get the first victory of the new season and the first victory for new Head Coach Matt Wells. Goals from new signings Hamzat Ojediran and Lucas Herrington seal the deal and deliver the points. Next challenge for the Rapids next Saturday at home vs LA Galaxy.
Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray were in full two man game mode when it mattered most but the Nuggets clutch time struggles continue. The Denver Nuggets had multiple double digit leads but once again they were reeled back in. OKC comes storming back in the 4th Quarter and David Adelman blew two timeouts early in the 4th. A brewhaha between Lu Dort and Nikola Jokic got both teams going. It fueled the battle towards overtime but OKC got the last laugh without SGA and Dort in OT. Koz was on the call from Oklahoma City.
The Avalanche returned to Ball Arena after the Olympic break and lost 5-2 to the Wild. The Avs are back in action Saturday afternoon to take on the Blackhawks.
The Denver Nuggets have been hearing the chatter all week after a tough loss vs Golden St. on Sunday. The Nuggets started rough but never wavered as they make quick work of the Celtics by the start of the 4th quarter! Nikola Jokic scored 30 points in 33 minutes despite Jamal Murray leaving with an illness. The Nuggets next game will be in Oklahoma City on Friday and as always, Koz was and will be on the call!
The Colorado Rapids had their season opener vs one of the toughest teams in the MLS. Seattle got a lot of scoring opportunities and took full advantage of them. The Sounders had double digit shot attempts and kept Colorado on their toes which led to four yellow cards. 2-0 was your final. Connor Cape was on the call from Luman Field in Seattle.
Big game for Jokic gets overshadowed by the Denver Nuggets losing to the Golden State Warriors 128-117. Nuggets are back on Wednesday night hosting the Celtics.
Not a bad day at the office for the Denver Nuggets, as they hand the Portland Trail Blazers their sixth worst loss in franchise history 157-103. The Nuggets wrap up their road trip on Sunday afternoon against the Golden State Warriors.
Jamal Murray got fouled behind the three point line as regulation expired, but missed the game tying free throw as the Denver Nuggets fell to the Los Angeles Clippers 115-114. Up next the Nuggets head to Portland to take on the Blazers tomorrow night at 8pm.
