Things got ugly for the Texans offense after QB C.J. Stroud went down, but there were plenty of reasons to be upset with them even before Stroud was concussed. The Texans fell to 3-5, and will have an uphill battle to make the playoffs. That's right, I said it...playoffs!

The Houston Texans face a Seahawks team that might provide the perfect opportunity to figure out if these improvements in the Texans offense are for real. Former Houston Texans players Cecil Shorts and Seth Payne discuss how Houston's offensive line will be tested by a physical Seahawks defensive line and C.J. Stroud will be challenged by a secondary that is very good at disguising their coverages. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. The Houston Texans have the lowest scoring offense in the league, and C.J. Stroud did not look like a ball placement specialist whatsoever versus the Jaguars. Former Houston Texans players Cecil Shorts and Seth Payne give their reaction. Cecil notes that C.J. was inaccurate on at least three of his deep shot opportunities in the game. They go on to discuss how poorly Nick Caserio's off-season plan is working, and that Seth is really a dope for buying into it...as of now! Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. The Houston Texans lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday Night Football, and the offense simply has simply not clicked. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.
Upon further review, there were some encouraging moments from the Texans offense in Week 1! But can they fix some of their issues on offense before Monday night versus the Buccaneers? C.J. Stroud made some great throws when pressured, but the entire offense needs to clean up their pre-snap operation to really unlock C.J.'s potential. There were also some miscommunications in pass protection that seemed uncomfortably similar to last year. Offensive coordinator Nick Caley needs to clean that up this week.
