On this podcast I discuss in detail the steps to the home buying process. I get asked questions about the process a lot so I thought this would be helpful! It seems very straight forward but buying a house is really involved and there are a lot of steps and deadlines. 
Simon McLoud, part owner of Copano Title explains what a title policy is and why it's so important when purchasing a home or property. You wouldn't want to purchase a house and find out after the fact that there are outstanding liens on your house or a heir you didn't know about is part owner of your house.  Title companies review the deed history and help work out all the details for you.
