Pastor Mick gives a special message addressing three aspects of Peace. First, current world events in relation to the soon coming "facade of peace" as prophecied in Antichrist. Then the "Peace WITH God" in our relationship with Him. Then the "Peace OF God" in our daily experience that comes from knowing He has a plan in all, and that His love and purpose will always stand.
In this final study of AMOS, Pastor Mick walks thru chapter 9 of Amos. He begins with a couple nuggets from ch. 8 - The "pride of Jacob" and the "famine of God's Word", and then ch. 9. We see the inability to hide from God's judgment, a final reminder of God's greatness, and then the future hope of the reunited Jewish people upon their land, as began to be realized in 1948.
In this study of AMOS, Pastor Mick walks thru the last half of chapter 7 and chapter 8 of Amos. We see the official rejection of Amos and his message by Northern King Jeroboam and Bethel Priest Amaziah. Even with rejecting the prophet himself, the Word of God was still destined to come to pass. Ch. 8 shares what it will be like after Assyria's conquest of Israel.
In the study of AMOS, Pastor Mick walks thru chapter 6 and the first 8 verses of chapter 7 of Amos. These chapters have warning thru visions for the Northern Kingdom of Israel. We see the heart of God and the heart of Amos toward God's soon-to-be-conquered peoples.
Pastor Mick walks thru the chapter 5 of Amos. This chapter is a Dirge, a sad funeral song for the coming demise of the Northern Kingdom of Israel some 25-30 years later. Mick shares how each sad verse is followed by God's interruption offering mercy in spite of the coming judgement.
Pastor Mick walks thru the chapter 3 & 4 of Amos. We see the declaration of coming judgments in ch. 3. In ch. 4 we see God's successive efforts to get the attention of His people, but instead of return to Him, they continued to fall into false god worship and injustice. After His extensive efforts to effect repentance and restoration, he again declares their coming judgment.
Pastor Mick walks thru the first chapter of Amos, highlighting the Nations called out for God's judgment, and the indictment on each. MIck also compares the difference between Israel and the nations called out - insofar as their understanding of the law that would judge them.
Pastor Mick introduces the time and basic message of the book of Amos. He introduces Amos' 'Funnel of Judgment' as he calls it, with messages of Judgment to six surrounding nations who have dealt treacherously with the Jewish people, and then messages of severe discipline for Judah and Israel as well. Mick also shares in general about the basis for God's judgment and then His provision thru Jesus for redemption and restoration.

Pastor Mick Catron gives a special Christmas message from Luke 1 and Mt. 1. We see the shock and the confusion from both Mary and Joseph as the miraculous conception and pregnancy of Mary is revealed to them, and the likely cultural challenges of accusation, humiliation, and judgement they endured as they obeyed and prepared to welcome the Savior.
Pastor Mick concludes our study in Joel's prophecy. He shares a message of the recurring themes of God's Discipline, Restoration, and Judgment - going thru parts of chapters 2-3. We see the prophetic significance to the soon coming invasions of Assyria and Babylon, on Israel and Judah respectively, as well as a reference to God's judgment of nations at the end of the age.
Pastor Mick takes us thru Joel's prophecy of 'God pouring the Spirit on all flesh', and shows the O.T. anticipation of the Spirit and the inauguration through Jesus of the Holy Spirits indwelling and filling ministries. We then land in Acts 2 where this "coming upon" experience is made available to all the followers of Christ.
This is the first message in the book of Joel in the MinorProphets2025 series. Pastor Mick leads us thru chapter 1 and a little of chapter 2, sharing about the message of warning, and the message of hope and restoration when "locusts" (or other invaders) have devastated our lives.
Pastor Mick completes the study in the book of Obadiah with ch. 1:15-21. We see both the near fulfillment in Edom's destruction in 312 BC, and the extinction of the Edomites as a result of the 70 AD Israel - Rome War. Mick emphasizes the reason of Edom's demise, namely their treacherous treatment of their blood brothers, the Israelites.
Pastor Mick opens the book of Obadiah in this study of the Minor Prophets. We see Edom called out and judgment prophesied, due largely to their despising of Israel and non-support of their own cousins. Mick tours us thru Jacob and Esau's friction, and Esau's aggressive hostility, which continued with their descendants as Judah and Edom.
Pastor Mick concludes this part of the Minor Prophets study of the book of Nahum, with chapter 3. This chapter is much like a sarcastic funeral dirge Nahum gives over the nation of Assyria in anticipation of their demise and destruction at the hands of Babylon some 38 years later.

Mick shares thru chapter 1's message of doom to Assyria, as well as God's Compassion and Strength to those who trust and follow Him.

We see in chapter 4 the incredible compassion and love of God, contrasted with the frustration and anger of the prophet at the repentance of the wicked Ninevites. Rather than the lost, Jonah focused his love on his temporary comfort.
