Timestamp to skip the chat: (4:38) Tamika Chesser is a former reality star, best known for her appearance on ‘Beauty and The Geek.’  Over the past few years, Tamika’s family have said that she was struggling with her mental health.   In June 2025, police were called to the home that Tamika shared with her partner, Julian Story, following reports of a fire.  When they entered the property, some of Julian’s remains were found in the bathroom.  His head was missing.  Tamika was said to be in a catatonic state when she was taken into custody. Julian’s head was located in scrub by a man walking his dog in late July 2025.   In July 2019,  Jessica Camilleri was living with her mother Rita in Sydney, Australia.   Jessica had a life-long history of mental illness.  In the weeks prior to the murder, Jessica had decided to stop taking her medication and was opting to seek out natural alternatives. On the day of July 20, 2019,  tensions between Jessica and Rita escalated.   Rita lost control of her daughter and threatened to call authorities to have her taken to a facility.  This enraged Jessica and she ended up stabbing her mother over 100 times.  Jessica then decapitated her mother and carried the head down the street.  When Jessica was arrested, she asked police "Can I ask, is my mum dead? Don't think I'm insane, but you can't bring her back to life?" Dean Corll lived in the area and worked for the family company, Corll Candy Company.  In 1970, he began a three-year killing spree, along with his accomplices David Owen Brooks and Elmer Wayne Henley. All of their victims were males, aged between 13-20.  The three men tortured and abused their victims before viciously murdering them. Their rampage ended in 1973 when Elmer killed Dean following an altercation.  He called police and said "Y'all better come here right now! I just killed a man!" The Murder of Madeline Soto

The Murder of Madeline Soto

2025-08-1401:02:02

Timestamp to skip intro: (11:57) Madeline Soto had just celebrated her 13th birthday in February 2024.   She had a small party with her grandmother Yolanda, and a few friends.   She had been spending a lot of time with her grandmother.   When Madeline had to go back to the home of her mother, Jennifer Soto, she cried. Madeline and Jennifer were living in a condo with many roommates.  One of the people living there was Stephan Sterns.   Stephan and Jennifer had a relationship for years, but according to her, as of February 2024, they were no longer intimate.   Despite this, the sleeping arrangements in the home meant that Madeline and Stephan would share a bed.  Jennifer had her own separate bedroom.  This was explained because apparently the teen needed human contact to sleep and Jennifer needed her own space. On February 26, 2024, Jennifer went to collect Madeline from school.  She allegedly discovered that Madeline had not attended classes that day. A search began for the teen.  Her body was found in a wooded area five days later. Stephan would end up being charged with Madeline’s murder.  He was also charged with multiple counts of heinous crimes relating to children.   In July 2025, Stephan was sentenced to 21 concurrent life sentences with no chance of parole for the role he played in Madeline’s abuse and murder. Skip straight to the case: (10:35) In October 2024, six members of the Humiston family were sleeping peacefully in their beds in Fall City, Washington.   Parents Sarah and Mark lived in a beautiful lake-front home with their five children - aged between 7 and 15. Sarah and Mark had been having some troubles with their eldest son, who we will call  ‘A’.   He had been caught viewing inappropriate images online and had been struggling with his school work.   On October 21, 2024, A retrieved a gun from the family’s gun safe.   He then allegedly shot every single member of his family.  He believed they were all dead and he called 911.  He told dispatchers that his younger brother Benjamin had carried out the massacre before taking his own life. A was incorrect in thinking that his whole family was dead.   His 11 y/o sister had played dead after he shot her and she managed to run to a neighboring property to ask for help.  She told authorities the true story.    In August 2025, new court documents were filed that indicate the Humiston parents were controlling and isolated their children from the community.   “A common theme that has been expressed amongst extended family, neighbors, and those who knew the Humistons is that the children were isolated from the outside world and did not engage socially with many peers – only a select few families that went to their church and were friends of their family,” court documents say. “Furthermore, initial reports indicate the home was abusive, tightly controlled, and dominated by extreme religious beliefs.” A has been charged with five counts of first-degree murder and one count of attempted murder.   A debate is currently ongoing in the legal system to determine if he will be tried as an adult or a juvenile. Skip straight to the case: (9:41) On July 15, 1986, Christopher Abeyta was around 7 months old.  He fell asleep in his older sister’s arms and was carried to his crib, which was located three feet from the bed of his parents. When his mother Bernice awoke the following morning, Christopher was nowhere to be seen.   Now, almost 40 years later, no trace of Christopher has ever been found. The Abeyta family are adamant that someone known to the family abducted Christopher.   They have publicly named a woman as a suspect.  This woman was having an affair with Christopher’s father Gil, and was known to have a history of mental health issues. Could someone have abducted Christopher and raised him as their own?  Or was the baby a victim of foul play? Timestamp to start the case: (13:23) In April 1993, Andrea and Russell ‘Rusty’ Yates were married.   They told friends and family that they wanted to ‘have as many babies as nature allowed.’ Between 1995 and 2000, the couple had five children - four sons and a daughter. Andrea struggled with her mental health.  After the birth of their fourth child, Andrea was hospitalized and the couple were advised to not have any more children.  Andrea’s doctor said that any more births would "guarantee future psychotic depression." Despite this, the couple had a fifth child and Andrea’s mental health decline continued.  She stopped taking all of her medication, she mutilated and cut herself, read the Bible obsessively and also stopped feeding the children. Rusty had been advised to not leave Andrea alone with the children.  Despite this, one morning in June 2001, Rusty left Andrea and the kids so that he could go to work.  His mother was scheduled to arrive at the home one hour after he left.    In that hour, Andrea filled the bathtub and drowned all five of her children - they were aged between 7 months old and 7 years old at the time. When police arrived at the home, Andrea was standing soaking wet in front of the house. “I just killed my children,” she told the officers. Timestamps: (7:58) - Stockdale Family In 2008, the Stockdale family from Ohio appeared on the reality TV show ‘Wife Swap.’  Kathy and Timothy Stockdale were raising their four sons in a very strict, conservative manner.   This is an excerpt from the family manual Kathy prepared for ‘Wife Swap.’  We moved to the country to get the boys away from the city. Our children are being raised away from violent language, sexual influences, drinking, smoking, drugs, rap music all the things we left behind in the city. Instead we are raising our children on a diet of wholesome activities and farm work; keeping their minds pure and their bodies healthy and keeping out the influences of modern society. That is why we home-school. By 2017, two of the children remained in the family home - Jacob and James.  One day that year, while Timothy was at work, Jacob fatally shot his brother James and his mother Kathy.   He then attempted to take his own life by shooting himself in the head.  He survived and was hospitalised for many months. After he recovered, Jacob was charged with the murders of his mother and brother.   No motive for the killings has ever been revealed. In this episode of the True Crime Society Podcast, we discuss the murder/suicide involving the Stockdale family from ‘Wife Swap.’ Read our blog for this case Join us on Patreon for exclusive true crime content.  You also get ALL episodes ad-free and weekly BONUS episodes! Skip to the case time stamp: (9:10) On May 2, 2025, siblings Lilly (6) and Jack (4) Sullivan were said to be in the kitchen of their home in Nova Scotia, Canada.  Their parents - mother Malehya Brooks-Murray and their stepfather Daniel Martell - became worried when the children fell silent. The story they have told authorities is that they believe the children slipped outside to play and wandered off.  The couple searched for the children before calling 911.   A large-scale search ensued for the children.  The search involved hundreds of people and ran for weeks.   The only traces of the children that have been found include a blanket and a possible boot print. Since their disappearance, Malehya has left the family home and has blocked Daniel on social media.   Daniel is adamant that he had nothing to do with the disappearance of the children and has told the media that he passed a polygraph test. Timestamps: (3:17) - Karen Read Trial Update (9:40) - Lilie James Murder Coercive control is a behavior that is intended to dominate and control a partner.  Studies indicate that it can occur in up to 58% of intimate partner violence relationships. Australian woman Lilie James (21) began dating Paul Thijssen (24) in August 2023.    Paul exhibited controlling behavior, including monitoring Lilie’s location over social media and waiting outside social events for her.   By October 2023, the relationship was over. Just days after the breakup, Paul went to a location where he knew Lilie would be.  He struck her with a hammer over 25 times, killing her.   He then fled the scene and would take his own life by jumping from a cliff. On January 24, 2006, it appears that Jennifer began getting ready for her work day.  She showered and gathered her keys, phone and iPod.   She never made it to work and has never been seen again. Jennifer’s car was found days after she vanished, dumped in an apartment complex lot a few miles from her home.  Some reports indicate that there were drag marks on the hood of the car, suggesting that there had been a struggle.   When police reviewed CCTV of the location where the car was found, they found that it had been dumped at 11.59am on the day that Jennifer disappeared.  A person was seen exiting the vehicle and walking away.   This person has never been identified. Was Jennifer abducted by someone she knew?  Or could an employee at her condo complex have been responsible? Filicide is the deliberate act of a parent killing their own child. Police were called to a home in Florida on May 30, 2025 for a welfare check on Ra’myl Pierre.   School officials were worried about his absence.  When authorities arrived at the home, they found Ra’Myl’s mother, Rhonda Paulynice, acting ‘oddly’.   Ra’myl was found dead and wrapped in a blanket in the house.  It is alleged that Rhonda killed her son in an attempt to exorcise him of evil spirits. On May 26, 2025, neighbors in Bundaberg, Queensland in Australia called police after they allegedly witnessed Lauren Flanigan in the front yard with her deceased daughter, Sophia.  Lauren is alleged to have stabbed her daughter to death.   She was taken into custody.   Lauren suffered a ‘medical emergency’ in her cell and was taken to hospital where she passed away on 1 June, 2025.   A full investigation into her death has commenced. Timestamp to get straight to the case: (5:38) In 2008, Irish man Jason Corbett placed an ad for an au-pair to assist him in raising his two young children Sarah and Jack.  Jason’s first wife Margaret had passed suddenly in 2006, leaving him widowed with two small children. American woman Molly Martens answered the ad.  She moved from her Tennessee home to Limerick, Ireland to live with the Corbett family.  Molly and Jason fell in love and decided to move back to America to get married and settle.   Their marriage soon soured - Jason was resistant to Molly adopting his children.  Molly would regularly make comments about Jason’s weight. One night in August 2015, Molly’s father Tom was staying with the family in the Corbett home.  He called 911 and reported that there had been an altercation at the home and he had acted in self-defense.   When authorities arrived, Jason was pronounced dead. In 2017, Molly and Tom ended up being convicted of Jason’s murder. In 2023, they both took plea deals in the case and were resentenced.   They were freed from prison in 2024. On May 11 that year, minutes after Jim dropped Timmothy off at Kindergarten, Amy went to the school and signed her son out.   She then took him on a road trip that spanned hundreds of miles.  She did not tell Jim her plans.    Jim became worried when he could not get hold of Amy and he made a report to police.  On May 14, Amy’s body was found in a motel room.  There was no sign of Timmothy.  Amy left behind multiple suicide notes, including one that read  “I’ve taken him somewhere safe.  He will be well cared for and he says that he loves you. Please know that there is nothing that you could have said or done that would have changed my mind.” Now, 14 years later, Timmothy remains missing.   Did Amy give him to another family or is the reality more sinister? Timestamp to skip the intro and get straight to the case: (10:11) According to Human Rights Watch, it’s estimated that about 90 per cent of crimes in Mexico are never reported, while a third of reported crimes are never investigated. About 2,600 foreigners have gone missing in Mexico in the past 15 years. In this episode of the True Crime Society Podcast, we discuss two separate cases of foreigners who have gone missing in Mexico. Canadian man Malcom Madsen was a snowbird who enjoyed traveling to Mexico every year.  Malcolm purchased a home near Puerto Vallarta for his girlfriend Marcela Acosta.  In 2018, the couple were seen on CCTV enjoying a night out at a local bar.   Marcela could be seen putting a substance into Malcom’s drink.  Minutes later, they left the bar and Malcom was unsteady on his feet.   He has not been seen since.  Marcela and two accomplices have been sentenced to over 50 years in prison in relation to Malcom’s disappearance. Australian woman Tahnee Shanks had been living in Mexico for years in 2022.   She and her husband Jorge had been having marriage problems, and she planned to return to Australia with their daughter Adelynn.  The family decided to take one last vacation together.  In May 2022, Adelynn was found wandering alone and barefoot outside a church in Cancun.   Now, almost three years later, both Tahnee and Jorge remain missing.  Is Jorge on the run after killing Tahnee or could they both have been murdered by the Mexican cartel? Timestamps: (5:50) - Tracey Nix Update (10:44) - Amy Lynn Bradley In March 1998, Amy Bradley boarded a Royal Caribbean cruise with her brother, mother and father, looking forward to some fun in the sun. The family enjoyed seeing Aruba and taking advantage of all that the ship had to offer including restaurants, bars and nightclubs. One night on their cruise, Amy and her brother Brad danced until the early morning hours at the nightclub on the ship. They went back to their cabin and Amy was seen asleep by her father just after 5am. When he woke up again at 6am, Amy was gone.   27 years later, Amy remains missing. The investigation into her disappearance has been criticized by her family as Royal Caribbean did not want to alarm other passengers on board.    Over the years, there have been many reported sightings of Amy and it is feared that she has been trafficked and is being forced to work in the sex industry. Was Amy abducted and smuggled off the ship?  Could she still be alive? Or did she fall overboard and drown? At very least the ‘mother’ should be charged with child endangerment because of the actions she has admitted to. I don’t see any jury not convicting her for that.

If I were into really dangerous fetish-kink and looking for an encounter I would be very cautious with who I sought services from. I wouldn’t be going to some random OF model or some random person I had been corresponding with online. There are professionals that know the dangers and take it seriously. Why you wouldn’t have some contingency plan in place before you let some random person put a bag on your head is wild to me, but honestly I think he and the person were turned on by the danger.

Hubby works in hotels. Drugging and robbing men happens all the time. Most frequent that he saw was in South Beach Miami; at least once a month in his hotel. Other situations involved men who got mad because the ‘female’ prostitute they brought back to the room was actually a man. Instances of tricks and Johns fighting in the room/lobby/hallway. Men getting mad wanting to involve police. Worst was male Italian tourists.

There has to be some sort of mental illness or cognition issue at play here. Otherwise it is just a horrible malicious act which is just incomprehensible.

I don't know where you got idea unmarried fathers don't have any rights to their child in Minnesota cause I lived it in 2008. once presumed father had a blood test to prove he was bio father he had all the legal rights a married father has. Minnesota is actually very friendly to fathers, no presumption child belongs with mother.

I like this Podcast, but I'm kind of blown away that you both would say that you thought his death was possibly a suicide.. As soon as you found out that his car was left 60 miles away from any area that he knew, that the car was in the woods AND missing the license plates, that it was parked 3 miles from where he entered the water and that the temperature was 104゚ that day. I don't know how you could even entertain the idea that wasn't foul play. Your basically saying yea maybe he parked his car somewhere he's never been, in the woods, decided to remove his own license plates & get rid of them, then walked 3 miles in the heat to a spot where he took his clothes off and got in the water to force himself to drown ? he was a swimmer on top of it all. I feel like if this was a white male or woman no one would assume this may have been a suicide. just disappointed, I was really starting to like you guys.

I think it's easy to be harder on a mother than a father.

so basically they didn't issue an amber alert for Evelyn Boswell in Tennessee but they immediately issued one for summer wells in Tennessee even though there is she was actually abducted considering she supposedly pick the one day that all the eight dogs that lived on the property decided to go hide somewhere and wander off and how do you pull a car up on a gravel road and kidnap a child? I have grown up near gravel driveways and I can hear every movement my name is used to make on that driveway and I live four houses away so basically they could have done more to look for this little girl from the beginning but they just didn't for whatever reason. Like she was Casey Anthony 2.0 talking about I know who has her I just can't talk about who has her like b**** I wish we could waterboard parents to find out what happened to their kids

That video from Red White Bethune really cracked the case and led then exactly where Gabby was. I think he was in the process or had just hurt her when they drove by. it was eerie.

Ugh hearing her crying and saying how Brian didn't believe she could do the website is SO heart breaking 💔

omg the freaking badges in those groups make me super uncomfortable too! Like, I do NOT need strangers around the globe knowing a damn thing about my kids. So cringe to me.
