The Kidsplorer Claire reads the classic tale of Madeline, a tale written and illustrated in 1939 by Ludwig Bemelmans. This is the original tale in a series of 17 Madeline stories and is set in Paris.Bemelmans was raised in a hotel in Austria where he was known to cause trouble and his bold traits are depicted in Madeline's daring personality. As an illustrator, Bemelmans started by drawing people around the hotel.
