Have you ever said, "A part of me wants this… but another part feels scared"? That's Internal Family Systems (IFS) in action. In this episode, Carmen Jimenez-Pride introduces listeners to Internal Family Systems therapy, a compassionate model of healing created by Dr. Richard Schwartz. We take a little dive into a few core IFS concepts: Managers, Firefighters, and Exiles—and explore how these parts show up in everyday life. Carmen also highlights the role of the Self in Internal Family Systems, the calm and compassionate core within each of us. You'll discover the 8 C's of Self-leadership: Calmness, Curiosity, Clarity, Compassion, Confidence, Courage, Creativity, and Connectedness, and how they guide us in bringing healing to our inner world. The Internal Family Systems model isn't about getting rid of our parts. Instead, it's about building relationships with them so they can release the burdens they carry and allow us to live with more harmony, balance, and freedom. ✨ To learn more about Carmen and her work, visit www.carmenpride.com ✨ Stay connected on social media: Facebook: facebook.com/pridelcsw Instagram: instagram.com/pridelcsw Substack Newsletter: https://pridelcsw.substack.com/ ✨ To dive deeper into Internal Family Systems therapy, visit the https://ifs-institute.com/

Fear can take control of your thoughts and keep you exploring your private logic. Fear can also redirect your actions toward the things that won't help you grow. It will only worsen your anxiety and make you continuously live in fear.
