For our final Bible Hour of the year we will see how we ended up with the 66 books of the Bible. We well also examine the reasons why we have different manuscripts. Lastly we will do some practical textual criticism so that one can see the process.
For the last two Bible Hour’s of the year we will be looking at some common objections to the credibility of the Bible. This will include claims of contradiction, how we got the Bible in the form that we have it and the variant readings.
With the many different cultures and types of weddings in our midst, how can we we ensure that we celebrate with each other appropriately? This Bible Hour we will discuss weddings, lobola and culture.
We continue our short Windows Into the Biblical Text series where we seek to know how to study the Bible
This week and next week we will consider the lenses we should use in order to understand a biblical book or a text. We will consider how the authors write and what tools we need to us in order to understand what any given Scripture is telling us

In this Bible hour session we will look at the life of John Stott
In this final instalment of our living as pilgrims study, we will consider the example of Naaman and his Rimmon worshipping master. From this we will glean final principles on how to deal with Gender Dysphoria, homosexual “marriages,” and other areas where we must interact with the world in its sin.
We’ve discussed a number of principles on how we interact with the world. This Lord’s Day we will consider how these principles apply to the modern confusion on gender identity and sexual orientation. Join us at Bible Hour as we discuss how do we interact with unbelievers regarding these issues.
This Lord’s Day morning we will continue with our exposition of 1 Corinthians 5 as we seek principles by which we live amid a world whose mind is ruled by the “spirit at work in the sons of disobedience.”
In this series we will consider how to live in the world and not being of it. The series will cover practical questions like how should a christian think about attendance at ancestral worship, gender identity, and homosexual civil marriage. The aim is to draw out biblical principles that will guide us in how we live in the world.

What is the mission of the church? How is she to achieve it? And how do we as HBC seek to participate in God’s grand plan? This Bible Hour we consider our participation in the mission of the church.
What are Spiritual Gifts? Why does the Spirit give the church gifts? Are all the gifts written in the New Testament to be in operation throughout the ages? Join us at Bible Hour as we continue our What We Believe series.
