Colours and Tarot

Colours and Tarot

2022-03-2107:44

Colour is the vibration of light, and just like understanding basic numerology and the meanings of numbers adds a  layer of understanding to your tarot readings, understanding the meanings of colors in the cards can bring a fresh new perspective on your readings.Even the earliest Tarot decks, such as the Tarot of Marseilles, were very brightly colored. And that’s no accident as bright colors are known to trigger our and engage our intuition.
Intuition

Intuition

2022-03-0808:36

Intuition can be described as those times when you “just know” something, you don’t know why you know it, you may not even know where it came from but you just do.  It feels right, your “gut instinct” is telling you yes this is what you should do.Intuition plays an important role in tarot reading. It is really tune into the feeling you get from the card and the energy that comes with it. This can give you greater insight into what the card is trying to tell you in that moment.
If you believe that a Tarot reading starts when you pick up the cards and shuffle them, think again, there are some things you really need to consider before you even shuffle the cards.
Timings and the Tarot

Timings and the Tarot

2022-02-2209:34

This podcast is about timings, a really common question in tarot is when – when will something happen, when will I meet the love of my life, get a new job, move house. Now whilst I do not believe tarot is predictive it is possible to know when something will most likely happen. But its also important to read the timings in context with the cards around it.And its also important to remember to focus not only on the ‘when’ but also on the ‘how’, because for something to happen we need to do something to make that happen and when we also focus on the how we put the client in the driving seat of their life. I believe it is far more empowering when a client understand both when something may happen and also what they may need to do to help make that event happen. For example, someone may ask you, “When will I meet my partner?” if you get the 5 Cups that could indicate, First you need to get over a past relationship that has lead to disappointment. Or, your client might ask, “When will I get promoted?” and the card is the 3 Pentacles, you may say, “When you can demonstrate your ability to work effectively in a team.”
Today’s podcast is something very close to my heart, for me the most important part of any tarot reading is the question and more importantly - getting the question right. If we ask vague questions we are going to end up with a vague and not very helpful tarot reading. Some people, when they come for a reading, don’t like to say too much, they think they are giving information away, and that’s ok, we don’t need to know chapter and verse of any situation but we do need a direction for the reading, so we want to ask relevant questions that get helpful answers as to why your client is sitting in front of you asking for a reading. Or even why you may be doing your own tarot reading.
The Elements and Tarot

The Elements and Tarot

2022-02-0810:55

The ancients recognised the four elements: Fire, Earth, Air, and Water as the main building blocks of everything in the Universe. These elements are at the heart and personality of everything. So its not surprising that each of the four suits in the Tarot are linked to one of these four elements. By understanding the nature of each element, we can add a layer of meaning to our tarot readings, that understanding helps us to interpret the cards, making it easier for our intuition to flow through our readings.

Tarot and Numbers

Numerology is all about the energy or vibration of numbers, and at its most simplistic all numbers reduce down to single digits unless they add up to 11, 22 or 33. Understanding the basics of Numerology, can really help you to read the tarot cards more intuitively, they give you an additional, deeper understanding of the card meanings that give your readings added depth. When you combine the meaning of the number with the suit
The Fools Journey

The Fools Journey

2022-01-2514:17

The Fool's Journey is a metaphor for our journey through life. Each major arcana card stands for a lesson that we learn on that journey - an experience that we must undergo to be the best that we can be and achieve our highest potential. There are 3 different levels of learning on this journey.
Pentacles in a tarot reading remember Pentacles represent all things material and physical, what you experience using your senses. They deal with your money and the things money buys, work home and garden. And they are never in a rush, so a bit on the slow side.
The symbol for the Pentacles, which are sometimes referred to as Coins, is a pentagram. These cards deal with our material world, our health, our finances and the things that money can buy. Its about our safety, security, and abundance. And that does not just mean financial abundance but the abundance of experiencing a beautiful moment, maybe being surrounded by the beauty of nature, its all part of the Pentacles suit.
I am sure a lot of people listening will have made New Resolutions or set their intentions for the year. It’s that time when we have an opportunity to start afresh and begin again with whatever we want to achieve or aim for this year. And so, in the spirit of new beginnings, here are my Top 7 cards from the Tarot that if they pop up in a reading could mean a new beginning is on the cards.
The suit of Swords is associated with the element of Air and represents how we navigate our world through our intellect and how we communicate. The Swords are seeking to understand life, they are the little kids who always ask “why”, they love people, enjoy a  good natter but they are also very ambitious and seek to be powerful by any means!
Swords are not the most popular cards in the tarot and that s probably because when we look at the cards they are pretty depressing and show the destructive side of the Swords, the pain they can cause, usually inflicted in anger, but its good to remember that Swords can symbolise cutting through illusions and complicated problems too.
The Court Cards

The Court Cards

The Court cards are just that, a royal court. If you think about a medieval court, the pages would be very young boys running errands for the King and Queen, there was no internet or phones back then so they used young boys to run errands or send messages. They would know very little of life but would probably feel quite confident in that they had a place in the Royal Court and maybe they would aspirations of becoming a Knight one day. Now image if you had a knock at the door and when you answered it you saw a page standing there – oh a message from the King of Queen? How would you feel?
The suit of Wands is associated with the element of fire and represents how we navigate our world through what we do and what we think. It’s about energy, ambition, creativity and spirituality. They are powerful and passionate cards that can inspire you to go ahead and make a daring move. Given half a chance the Wands can set everything on fire with their enthusiasm.

In this podcast we are going to take a journey through the Suit of Cup, from the Ace through to the King, to help understand what the Suit of Cups generally means. The suit of Cups is associated with the element of water and represents how we navigate our world through our feelings, emotions, intuition or even our creativity. It’s our emotional journey, how we feel our way through life. So come with me on an emotional journey...

Podcast number 2 looks at the suit of Cups. Now in some later Podcasts I will be going into the individual cards in more detail, but for now lets explore what the Suit of Cups is all about. CThe suit of Cups represents the ebb and flow of our emotions, our relationships, and that can include our work or business relationships/friendships, our feelings, intuition, and creativity. The range of emotions can run from pure bliss to complete misery, and everything in between!

Welcome to our first podcast! It seems appropriate to start with my beliefs about tarot , what is it, why I use it and how I work with the ancient wisdom and symbology of Tarot. When we work with the Tarot, it can help steer us along the path of our life’s journey. It can highlight the lessons we need to learn, the challenges or struggles we may face, but, if you chose to do so, it can also offer up insights, knowledge and the opportunity to steer a different path if we do not like the one we are currently find ourselves on.
