Do you want more peace, contentment and joy but overwhelm, stress and distraction is in the way? This meditation has you focus on tiny moments of mindfulness so you can get a glimpse of the present moment. A glimpse may be all we need to remind us that inner peace is possible.

Once you've found a comfortable posture, simply focus on experiencing the in breath.
Stay focusing on the in breath for the entire meditation and when the mind wanders, gently guide it back to the sensation of breathing in.

Hey meditators! I am frequently asked, “How do I stop the noises in my head?”. The good news is that we all have an inner narrator who worries and makes lists and can be really negative! The even better news is we don’t need to stop the chatter to quiet it down. All we need to do is treat it with kindness and give it space.

When you notice thoughts during meditation, celebrate the fact that you noticed it!
Go slowly - label the thought as “thought” and take a few seconds to focus on an anchor such as the experience of breathing.
Thoughts are just experiences! With that perspective, see if you can notice the thought, give it some space and time to stop on its own, and gently return your awareness to the present moment.
The less energy you give thoughts and the less resistance you meet them with, the softer they will be and the less overwhelming they will feel!

Do you want to live passionately but you’re afraid to do the thing you LOVE to do/must do/were born to do? I was there too.
I've worked for 6 companies in the last 13 years and for 10 years I’ve been moving closer and closer to doing what I LOVE full time. I found yoga because I needed a tool to manage my burnout from work. Over time, my wellness journey evolved from yoga to reiki energy healing to mindfulness meditation so I could learn to calm my racing thoughts and take better care of myself.
"We teach what we need."
Meditation worked wonders for me because it helped me focus on my wellbeing. In 2019 I knew that in order to make a positive impact in a BIG way, I needed to work in healthcare. Through dedication and hard work, I began managing wellness events, became a life coach, and worked for almost 3 years in hospitals supporting employee wellbeing.
And here we are today! I'm just a human who didn't give up. I'm a person who has been on the other side of anxiety and exhaustion and hopelessness and I want to remind you that there are tools (like meditation) that can help reduce the brain fog, increase focus and help you accomplish your goals.
I'm also here to announce that I am officially doing what I am most passionate about! As of August 2023, I am running my wellness company Liz Coaches full time!!
After years teaching the benefits of taking a mindful pause, I'm going to take a one month pause from the podcast, my newsletter and social media to reset my mind and body as I prepare for this big transition. I encourage you to do what you need to do this summer to take care of your wellbeing too.
Thank you so much for your support over the last year and a half of running the podcast. I'll be back with even more aliveness and excitement to bring you meditations in the fall.

It's International Self-care Day today and I'm excited to practice pausing together. I have busy days where a lot is expected of me from wake-up, to bed time. I've found that taking mini-breaks is the most effective way for me to stay positive, focused and connected to myself. This month we honor the importance of self-care as we celebrate self-care day on July 24th and make it self-care month! Pausing will bring you more connection, clarity and calm. Pausing is the ultimate self-care strategy and meditating strengthens our ability to pause.

Some hints that you need to pause are irritation, stress, overwhelm, too much energy or too little energy.
Once you acknowledge that a pause is needed, either take one round of breath or feel your feet on the floor or place a hand on your body and feel your aliveness.

I’ve heard about the benefits of visualizing for years, but what got me to DO it was when my coach described what is actually is! Visualizing my day first thing in the morning has increased my positivity, confidence and vitality.

Over the past 6 months I keep hearing, "trust the process" from wise and successful people about my business, my career and my wellbeing. I'm starting to think they are all onto something.
We tend to over effort and expect immediate results but good things take time. Meditation can and will change your life if you let it AND it takes time to see the rewards of patience, relaxation, focus and kindness. Today we lower our expectations of the practice and allow ourself to enjoy the ease of breathing and sitting.

Anxiety presents as an alarm in the body that drives thoughts of worry and overthinking. Doctors see anxiety as a body issue of old wounds that we try and make sense through the mind. Therefore, anxiety is a feeling based issue instead of mind based process.
Most of us know anxiety can be completely paralyzing so today I offer tangible tools to heal.
