How they are still with us! The Continuing Presence of Our Loved Ones After Death Death hurts. When someone we love dies, nothing can simply “fix” that loss. The absence feels real. The silence can feel overwhelming. We often speak of seeing our loved ones again in heaven someday. The church teaches us to trust in life after death. But is that all we are given to hold onto as we walk through the sharp reality of grief? There is good news. There is more. There is comfort for grieving hearts. There is hope that reaches into the present moment—not only into some distant reunion. Join us this Sunday as we explore the ways our loved ones continue to be present with us, even after death. When Jesus told His disciples that He was going to leave them, that He would be crucified, He also said something astonishing: “It is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Comforter will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you… You will grieve, but your grief will turn to joy.” (John 16:7, 20) What if departure is not the end of presence? What if love is stronger—and nearer—than we have imagined? Come and discover the hope that speaks to our grief and the comfort that meets us where we are. with Rev. Give Church a Try

Give Church a Try

Give Church a Try The church does not claim to have every answer. What it offers—at its best—is inspiration, connection, service and insight. In seasons that feel especially heavy or uncertain, those gifts can matter deeply. 3/1/26 If you enjoyed this episode, be sure to Subscribe and review our podcast wherever you get your podcasts. Advice for Young Adults in a Broken World: Living with Light When Trust Is Hard In times of endemic distrust, how can we resist cynicism in a broken world and choose clarity, conscience, and faith instead? How can we stand better, more fully, in God’s light—learning how small acts of faithfulness and responsibility can keep hope alive when trust feels fragile? 2/22/26 If you enjoyed this episode, be sure to Subscribe and review our podcast wherever you get your podcasts. Next Level Love: Challenge Accepted The human race is being challenged by God to level up the love! When Jesus was preaching His most famous sermon he challenged the people to see the Commandments as more than a list of laws and regulations, saying multiple times “You have heard it said… but I say to you…” (Mt. 5:21, 27, 33, 38, 43) Today the Lord challenges us to see how all divine law (The Word) shows us what love really is, and how we can get better at it. Do you accept the challenge to love on the next level? with Rev. Alan Cowley 2/15/26 If you enjoyed this episode, be sure to Subscribe and review our podcast wherever you get your podcasts. Don’t Give Up: It’s Not All for Nothing We all start out as adults with dreams of who we might become and what we might contribute to this world. But at some point in life, we realize that it’s not always easy. In hard times, hope can fade, and we may feel tempted to give up on those dreams. God never abandons us, and God is the one who planted those dreams within us in the first place. The path may not look the way we expected, but it will unfold—and it will be good. Don’t give up. Make your dreams a priority. God always comes through. with Rev. Grant Schnarr 2/8/26 If you enjoyed this episode, be sure to Subscribe and review our podcast wherever you get your podcasts. Finding God in the Wilderness of Life In this message, we’ll explore the story of Elijah and the Widow from 1 Kings 17—a powerful reminder that God's presence often meets us in life’s most desolate and difficult places. What we may see as barren or broken, the Lord can transform into spaces of provision, growth, and unexpected grace. By learning to seek God in the “wilderness” moments of our lives, we open ourselves to a deeper trust and a more intimate relationship with Him. with Rev. Soul-Level Freedom

Soul-Level Freedom

Soul-Level Freedom We often believe that material things create freedom. In our culture, it feels like a simple equation: more money equals more freedom. Yet there are deeper forms of freedom—freedom at the soul level—that nourish our well-being in ways we can hardly imagine. This kind of freedom is a God-given blessing. 1/18/26 If you enjoyed this episode, be sure to Subscribe and review our podcast wherever you get your podcasts. Gathering “It” in the New Year God always provides it—and when we gather it first, we do a lot less fruitless searching and worrying—What is "it?” This week, as we approach the New Year, we will look at God’s priorities for us, and how putting first things first on a daily basis opens our eyes to notice and live into the peace and happiness God want us to have! with Alan Cowley 12/28/25 If you enjoyed this episode, be sure to Subscribe and review our podcast wherever you get your podcasts. Christmas Part III: Gifts and Givers Let’s work on this together, discovering the true gifts and learning how to be true givers. During Advent, we are invited to look beyond what is exchanged and see what is received from God: love, peace, truth, and new life. As we open ourselves to these heavenly gifts, we are also formed into people who give from the heart. This week, we reflect on how receiving from the Lord leads us to give with joy, generosity, and charity. 12/21/25 If you enjoyed this episode, be sure to Subscribe and review our podcast wherever you get your podcasts. Christmas I: Light One Candle This Christmas season let’s welcome God’s light entering the places where we feel darkness, uncertainty, or weariness. Just as a single candle can brighten an entire room – one act of compassion, one step of faith, one moment of hope opens our lives to that light this Christmas. 12/7/25 If you enjoyed this episode, be sure to Subscribe and review our podcast wherever you get your podcasts. Breaking Free from Your Inner Pharaoh There are things in your mind that want to keep you trapped. Come learn God’s plan to break you out of there! When I speak about “breaking free from Pharaoh,” I’m talking about the inner rulers that corner us with worry, shame, distraction, or that relentless inner critic that never seems satisfied. Scripture shows this pattern again and again, and Swedenborg opens it with such tenderness, reminding us that God bends every moment toward freedom and joy. Somewhere inside each one of us is a Moses moment where something holy catches fire and asks us to turn aside. I feel it when I see people realize that their spiritual captivity is real yet temporary, because God is already moving the waters that once looked impossible to cross. The journey takes time. It winds, it wrestles, it surprises, but it always carries the promise that the Lord leads us toward a land flowing with real happiness, the kind that grows from love, usefulness, and trust in His steady providence. with Curtis Childs 11/30/25 If you enjoyed this episode, be sure to Subscribe and review our podcast wherever you get your podcasts. Grateful For All the Ways We Are Connected In this season of reflection, let’s pause with gratitude and notice the beautiful network of connections that holds us together. Whether through shared moments, quiet acts of kindness, or the unseen spiritual bonds that unite every human heart, we are part of something larger, living, and deeply good. May this be a time to appreciate not only the people close to us, but also the divine love flowing through all our relationships, reminding us that no one is ever truly alone. 11/23/25 If you enjoyed this episode, be sure to Subscribe and review our podcast wherever you get your podcasts. No more “If.” No more “When.” Part of gratitude is opening ourselves up to the miracles that surround us. A New Way to Define "Greatness", a New Way to Rediscover Joy In a world that often defines greatness through power, status, and self-promotion, Jesus offers a radically different vision. One where true greatness is found in humility, service, and a heart aligned with God’s purpose. Let’s look at greatness through the eyes of service, where humility reshapes our relationships and joy runs deep. When we live to serve, God’s love moves through us, and we find the kind of joy that lasts.
