INTERVIEWING THE LEGENDS is devoted to promoting musicians worldwide. We spotlight exclusive in-depth interviews with both legendary and up and coming music artists and celebrities. We also feature the movers and shakers of the music and publishing industries.

WHERE HAVE ALL THE ROCK STARS GONE?

Rock and Roll, the Blues, and Jazz are America’s contribution to the arts, so why are we not fighting to preserve our own musical legacy and culture?

With roots from the early blues pioneers, the longevity of rock and roll is second to none. But strangely enough, those legendary rock heroes that we were so accustomed to hearing every time we turned our radios on, had mysteriously vanished from the mainstream. The music of the 1960s, 70s, and even the 80s was an important juncture in all of our lives. So many of us timeline life’s precious moments with the music we remember, when the music was so great, when the music mattered. The baby boomer generation is financially imperative to many, yet many of its entertainment standards have been renounced.

One day, the plug was pulled on those legendary music artists. Hackers began stealing music across the internet. Online music stores popularized cheap digital singles and neglected to promote full-length albums. Radio stations changed formats to accommodate talk show radio jocks, while rappers and electronic dance music menaced the airwaves. Notorious record companies began folding in droves. Record companies and radio stations that were once owned and operated by visionaries, were now run by accountants and lawyers, and the music world began promoting untalented wannabes. The economy plummeted, and radio stations became more concerned about how many consecutive commercials they could run instead of providing quality radio programming and entertainment value. Radio stations became corporate machines leaving no room for innovation. Throughout the 2000s, recording studios and live performances began using an audio processor called “Auto-Tune” to disguise off-key inaccuracies in vocal tracks. The device allowed virtually anyone without music skills to become a singer and new waves of mainstream radio stars were instantly fabricated. The business of music became stronger and more important than the art of music.

For more than a decade, I’ve been on a rock and roll pilgrimage to help promote and save the greatest music the world has ever known. Before the internet and Napster, virtuoso musicians traditionally introduced their music by way of mainstream radio stations while anxious music enthusiasts hurried to their favorite record stores and purchased a copy of the artist’s latest release. Talk radio wasn’t popular because there was way too much great music to play over the airwaves. Advertisers didn’t rule the airwaves, the music did. Rock legends toured the world to promote their latest albums and prices of concert tickets were extremely affordable. Proficient musicians, singers, and songwriters are what made the music so great.

"THE WORLD'S A STAGE, WITH NO ENCORE" SUNG BY KYLIE WILLOW rockraymond productions © Copyright rockraymondproductions.com All Rights Reserved. Lyrics:   Verse 1  I wake to sirens in my spine,  Coffee cold, dreams in decline.  Rent’s a prayer I whisper thin,  While the world spins gold for someone else's sin.    Pre-Chorus  I wear my rage like a velvet coat,  Stitched with silence, stitched with smoke.  They sell salvation in neon light,  But I’ve got bruises that don’t feel right.    Chorus  Concrete veins,  Running through my skin.  I smile like a weapon,  Just to fit in.  This city feeds  On what I won’t show—  But I bleed in rhythm  They’ll never know.    Verse 2  My phone’s a mirror I can’t escape,  Scrolling through lives I’ll never shape.  They say “be grateful,” they say “be kind,”  But kindness don’t pay when you’re losing your mind.    Bridge  I scream in lowercase,  Cry in code.  My heart’s a glitch  In their perfect mold.  I’m not broken—  I’m just awake.  And that’s a risk they’ll never take.    Final Chorus  Concrete veins,  Running through my skin.  I smile like a weapon,  Just to fit in.  This world’s a stage  With no encore—  But I’ll burn the script  And write much more. "Isn't Life Strange" New Cover Single By Kylie Willow Written by John Lodge Originally recorded by The Moody Blues CapSha Productions © Copyright shashoandthecaptainproductions.com All Rights Reserved. LYRICS: Isn't life strange? A turn of the page Can read like before Can we ask for more? Each day passes by How hard man will try? The sea will not wait You know it makes me want to cry, cry, cry Wished I could be in your heart To be one with your love Wished I could be in your eyes Looking back, there you were and here we are Isn't love strange? A word we arrange With no thought or care Maker of despair Each breath that we breathe With love we must weave To make us as one You know it makes me want to cry, cry, cry Wished I could be in your heart To be one with your love Wished I could be in your eyes Looking back, there you were and here we are Isn't life strange? A turn of the page A book without light Unless with love we write To throw it away To lose just a day The quicksand of time You know it makes me want to cry, cry, cry Wished I could be in your heart To be one with your love Wished I could be in your eyes Looking back, there you were Wished I could be in your heart To be one with your love Wished I could be in your eyes Looking back, there you were Wished I could be in your heart To be one with your love Wished I could be in your eyes Looking back, there you were Wished I could be in your heart To be one with your love Wished I could be in your eyes Looking back, there you were Support us on PayPal!
"Liberty isn’t given It’s taken" By Velora Nyx A Centauri soundtrack similarities to a Shirley Bassey James Bond score CapSha Productions © Copyrightcapshaproductions.com All Rights Reserved. Velora Nyx in full cosmic glory the Centauri siren has taken the stage, shimmering with myth and menace. The opalescent skin, bi-colored eyes, and stardust gown all radiate that Shirley Bassey-style drama, but with a galactic twist. She’s not just singing—she’s transmitting rebellion through every note. LYRICS:   (Verse 1)  She walks the line where shadows burn  A name erased, a fate returned  The signal hums beneath the skin  The Liberty Code—it pulls her in    (Pre-Chorus)  Truth is a weapon, silence a blade  She’s the echo of choices we never made    (Chorus)  Code of the brave, written in fire  She’s the storm they couldn’t wire  One woman, one myth, one final vow  The world will kneel—but not her now  Code of the brave… and she won’t cave    (Bridge)  Eyes like thunder, heart like steel  She’s the secret they couldn’t conceal  From Centauri moons to shattered skies  She’s the reason the truth survives    (Outro – whispered)  Liberty… isn’t given.  It’s taken. "If I Could Find Her Again" Debut Single by Cody Wilder CapSha Priductions © Copyrightcapshaproductions.com All Rights Reserved. Lyrics: (Verse 1)  She left in the silence between two sighs  No slammed door, no bitter goodbyes  Just a note on the table, a tear in the ink  Now I’m drowning in memories too heavy to sink    (Pre-Chorus)  I replay our laughter like old movie scenes  But the reel keeps breaking at shattered dreams    (Chorus)  If I could find her again, I’d rewrite the past  Hold her like sunrise and make the moment last  Tell her the truth I was too scared to say  That she was my always, not just my someday    (Verse 2)  I walk through the places we used to roam  Each echo reminds me I’m here alone  I see her in strangers, I hear her in songs  And wonder if she’s wondering what went wrong    (Bridge)  I’d trade every promise I failed to keep  For one more night where she falls asleep  Beside me, believing I’d never let go  But I blinked—and she vanished like snow    (Chorus)  If I could find her again, I’d rewrite the past  Hold her like sunrise and make the moment last  Tell her the truth I was too scared to say  That she was my always, not just my someday  Support us on PayPal!
"She Dreams of Champagne" By  Frankie Delano – The Gentleman Phantom CapSha Productions © Copyrightcapshaproductions.com All Rights Reserved. Frankie Delano was born with a voice dipped in bourbon and a soul stitched from midnight silk. Raised on the backstreets of Hoboken, he learned charm from card sharks and rhythm from the clatter of subway trains. By nineteen, he was singing in Navy clubs across the Pacific, crooning torch songs to homesick sailors and winning poker games with nothing but a wink. After the war, Frankie disappeared into Havana’s golden haze, rumored to have romanced a duchess, outplayed a Cuban trumpeter in a midnight duel, and recorded a lost album that only plays under moonlight. When he resurfaced in Manhattan, he was no longer just a singer—he was a legend in cufflinks. Known for his signature martini (three olives, stirred with regret), Frankie never stayed in one city too long. He’d light up a lounge, break a few hearts, and vanish before sunrise. His voice carried the ache of old love and the swagger of someone who’d seen too much and still smiled. He never chased fame—it followed him like perfume. And though no one knows where he is now, some say if you walk past a velvet curtain and hear a low hum in the dark… Frankie Delano might be singing just for you. LYRICS: I glide through the night in a tailored disguise  Cufflinks gleam like stars in her eyes  A whisper of jazz in the back of my brain  I’m not chasing hearts—I’m taming the flame    (Pre-Chorus)  She asked for the moon, I poured her champagne  Said love’s just a gamble, I play through the pain    (Chorus)  Velvet in my veins, silver in my smile  I dance with temptation, then vanish in style  No strings, no regrets, just a kiss in the rain  I’m the echo she hears when she dreams of champagne    (Verse 2)  My past wears a tux and a crooked grin  Every sin’s a story I’ve tucked within  I don’t beg for mercy, I don’t plead for grace  But I’ll steal your breath with a glance to your face    (Bridge)  I’m the shadow that lingers in candlelight  The toast you forget but remember at night  She said I’m a riddle, I said I’m a rhyme  A gentleman thief with impeccable time    (Chorus)  Velvet in my veins, silver in my smile  I dance with temptation, then vanish in style  No strings, no regrets, just a kiss in the rain  I’m the echo she hears when she dreams of champagne  Support us on PayPal!
"Twenty-Something Ghosts" By Kylie Willow Shasho and The Captain Productions © Copyright shashoandthecaptainproductions.com All Rights Reserved. Lyrics:   Twenty-Something Ghosts (Verse 1)  I wake up in a room I don’t remember  Scrolling through a life I never chose  Dreams I had at seventeen feel distant  Now I’m chasing paychecks just to cope    (Pre-Chorus)  They said it gets better, but they never said when  I’m tired of pretending I’m fine again    (Chorus)  We’re twenty-something ghosts  Haunting the halls of who we used to be  Wearing smiles like armor  In a war we fight silently  We’re not broken, just bending  In a world that won’t slow  Trying to find meaning  In the mess we call home    (Verse 2)  I text “I’m okay” with shaky fingers  Delete the truth before I hit send  I laugh at memes about depression  Like it’s easier to joke than mend    (Pre-Chorus)  They said “just be grateful,” but I’m drowning in doubt  I’m screaming inside, but the volume’s turned down    (Chorus)  We’re twenty-something ghosts  Haunting the halls of who we used to be  Wearing smiles like armor  In a war we fight silently  We’re not broken, just bending  In a world that won’t slow  Trying to find meaning  In the mess we call home    (Bridge)  But maybe there’s beauty in falling apart  In finding your voice in the dark  Maybe the cracks are where light gets in  And healing begins    (Final Chorus)  We’re twenty-something ghosts  But we’re learning to breathe  To turn pain into poetry  And scars into peace  We’re not broken, just bending  And we’re not alone  We’re finding our meaning  In the mess we call home    Support us on PayPal!
"STILL STANDING IN THE RAIN" MUSIC VIDEO BY SLEEPGATE FROM SHASHO AND THE CAPTAIN PRODUCTIONS © Copyright shashoandthecaptainproductions.com All Rights Reserved. Born from thunder and baptized in distortion, SleepGate is a genre-defying rock force that channels the raw pulse of rebellion, resilience, and revelation. Formed in the shadow of a world unraveling, the band fuses cinematic storytelling with searing guitar work, haunting vocals, and lyrics that cut through the static of modern life. Their debut track, Still Standing In The Rain, is more than a song—it's a declaration. A sonic storm that refuses to break, SleepGate’s sound is forged from the ashes of classic rock, post-grunge grit, and progressive ambition. Think Pink Floyd meets Soundgarden in a lightning-lit dreamscape. SleepGate is the musical embodiment of The Liberty Code mythos—where every note is a battle cry, every chorus a coded message, and every silence a reckoning. With visuals as vivid as their sound, the band invites listeners into a world where sleep is rebellion, and waking up means facing the truth. SleepGate isn’t just a band. It’s a portal. Step through.   LYRICS:   I’ve walked through years that never felt like mine  Chased dreams that faded in the rearview sign  Watched lovers leave and friends drift away  But I’m still here, I’m still okay    (Pre-Chorus)  Every scar’s a story I survived  Every tear just proof I’m still alive    (Chorus)  I’m still standing in the rain  Let it wash away the pain  Lightning cracks, but I don’t run  I face the storm ‘til morning comes  I’ve been broken, I’ve been bruised  But I’ve got nothing left to lose  I’m still standing in the rain  And I won’t fade away    (Verse 2)  I’ve heard the silence louder than the crowd  Felt invisible, but never bowed  Held onto hope like a fraying rope  And found my strength in letting go    (Pre-Chorus)  Every fall just taught me how to rise  Every loss became a new sunrise    (Chorus)  I’m still standing in the rain  Let it wash away the pain  Lightning cracks, but I don’t run  I face the storm ‘til morning comes  I’ve been broken, I’ve been bruised  But I’ve got nothing left to lose  I’m still standing in the rain  And I won’t fade away    (Bridge – Guitar Solo)  [Soaring solo with echoes of Clapton and Gilmour]  Let the thunder roll, let the heavens cry  I’ll be the echo that never dies    (Final Chorus)  I’m still standing in the rain  Let it baptize me again  I’m not afraid of what I’ve seen  I wear my past like faded jeans  I’ve been shattered, I’ve been scarred  But I still play this old guitar  I’m still standing in the rain  And I won’t fade away    Support us on PayPal!

Music Video based on the novel 'The Liberty Code' by Ray Shasho "This Time, This Time" (soft version) sung by 'Luna' Shasho and The Captain Productions © Copyright shashoandthecaptainproductions.com All Rights Reserved. LYRICS [Verse 1]  Flash of light in the midnight haze  You crashed down, rewrote my days  They said the truth was buried deep  But you woke me from my sleep  [Pre-Chorus]  Now we’re running through the static  Dodging lies, it’s automatic  You’re the glitch in their control  The spark that makes me whole  [Chorus]  You’re the signal in the sky  Telling me we’re born to fly  No more silence, no more fear  The Liberty Code is crystal clear    [Post-Chorus]  Oh-oh, we’re breaking through  Oh-oh, rewriting truth  Oh-oh, the stars align  This time, this time  [Bridge]  They tried to erase us, tried to bend  But we’re the message they can’t end  From the ashes, we ignite  Liberty’s flame burning bright  ABOUT THE LIBERTY CODE: In a fractured America ruled by the authoritarian Commonwealth Party, freedom is a relic of the past. Democracy has crumbled, the media is silenced, and truth is a weapon. But one man, Sam Edwards, a decorated Marine veteran and journalist, holds the key to unlocking a future worth fighting for. The Liberty Code was meant to be fiction. But with the telepathic guidance of two extraterrestrial Centauri ambassadors, J-Rod and Naxia, it reveals a hidden reality more terrifying, and more hopeful, than anyone imagined. From the classified S4 facility near Area 51 to the ruins of suppressed democracies, Edwards uncovers a global conspiracy and the master plan to stop it. After J-Rod’s death, a mission begins to fulfill his vision: the permanent elimination of nuclear weapons, the revival of free societies, and the awakening of Earth's people to a galactic truth long denied. Covert military operations like Operation Yuma liberate nations, and a new chapter begins as Earth’s enemies are exposed and confronted. But power resists change. The Commonwealth's grip tightens. The Blackout Committee censors all dissent. Journalists vanish, AI manipulates public perception, and chaos reigns. Through it all, a secret force rises, the Liberty Regiment. Men and women who refuse to surrender, who carry the last ember of the American spirit. As the fight for Earth’s soul intensifies, Edwards, along with Naxia and trusted allies, embarks on an interstellar journey to Proxima Centauri b, determined to preserve the truth and document a future shaped by alien allies and human courage. The Liberty Code is more than a novel. It’s a battle cry, a love story, and a blueprint for redemption. The truth is no longer hidden. The war for Earth has already begun. Andrew and Billy Bob Thornton aka/Bud Thornton showcase their love as always for the sounds of the sixties and the inspiration of their studio on an album called “Pepper Tree Hill.” “Abbey Road was the studio the Beatles recorded their album “Abbey Road” in and are a huge influence on us,” says Bud. “In a way , since our studio is called Pepper Tree Hill , you could say this is our Abbey Road and you can hear odes to our influences the British Invasion including the Beatles, Badfinger, The Kinks etc.” Joining The Boxmasters on the title cut “Pepper Tree Hill” is the legendary trumpeter and bandleader Herb Alpert. The Boxmasters have performed on “The Grand Ole Opry” in 2015, and in 2023 The Boxmasters fulfilled a life-long dream of playing The Cavern Club in Liverpool. The Boxmasters will be performing locally August 15th at the Capitol Theatre in Clearwater. Please welcome BILLY JOE THORNTON (aka Bud Thornton) AND J.D. Naxia's Song: "O Children of The Earth Arise" Based on the novel 'The Liberty Code by Ray Shasho   [Verse 1]  I have crossed the silent void,  Past worlds that burned, and realms destroyed.  Through every cry in cosmic storm,  I saw a spark—fragile, warm.    [Pre-Chorus]  We watched your kind embrace the flame,  Then turn to shadows, lost in shame.  But in your eyes, a restless gleam—  The ancient pulse of hope... a dream.   [Chorus]  O children of the Earth, arise,  The starlanes wait beyond your skies.  Your code—etched deep in liberty—  Can mend what’s torn, can set minds free.  Let unity be your refrain,  Or fall again… and leave the chain.   [Verse 2]  I have heard the chants of war,  And silent prayers beneath Earth's floor.  I’ve seen your prophets cast away,  Yet truth survives, it finds a way.   [Bridge]  We came not as your gods or kings,  But kindred minds with open wings.  Your fate was never ours to mold,  But hearts aligned can break the cold.   [Final Chorus]  O architects of destiny,  Write peace into your legacy.  Awaken now—The Liberty Code—  Your final key, your moral code.  We stand beside—not rule above—  In faith, in memory, bound by love.  A final chance, the stars implore…  Awaken now… and be no more.   [Outro]  I return to Centauri’s light,  But leave this verse in Earth's twilight.  When you decode its reverent plea—  May you find the strength… to be free.   THE LIBERTY CODE BY RAY SHASHO available at  bookbaby.com amazon.com and soon on AUDIOBOOKS     In a fractured America ruled by the authoritarian Commonwealth Party, freedom is a relic of the past.
