INTERVIEWING THE LEGENDS is devoted to promoting musicians worldwide. We spotlight exclusive in-depth interviews with both legendary and up and coming music artists and celebrities. We also feature the movers and shakers of the music and publishing industries.

WHERE HAVE ALL THE ROCK STARS GONE?

Rock and Roll, the Blues, and Jazz are America’s contribution to the arts, so why are we not fighting to preserve our own musical legacy and culture?

With roots from the early blues pioneers, the longevity of rock and roll is second to none. But strangely enough, those legendary rock heroes that we were so accustomed to hearing every time we turned our radios on, had mysteriously vanished from the mainstream. The music of the 1960s, 70s, and even the 80s was an important juncture in all of our lives. So many of us timeline life’s precious moments with the music we remember, when the music was so great, when the music mattered. The baby boomer generation is financially imperative to many, yet many of its entertainment standards have been renounced.

One day, the plug was pulled on those legendary music artists. Hackers began stealing music across the internet. Online music stores popularized cheap digital singles and neglected to promote full-length albums. Radio stations changed formats to accommodate talk show radio jocks, while rappers and electronic dance music menaced the airwaves. Notorious record companies began folding in droves. Record companies and radio stations that were once owned and operated by visionaries, were now run by accountants and lawyers, and the music world began promoting untalented wannabes. The economy plummeted, and radio stations became more concerned about how many consecutive commercials they could run instead of providing quality radio programming and entertainment value. Radio stations became corporate machines leaving no room for innovation. Throughout the 2000s, recording studios and live performances began using an audio processor called “Auto-Tune” to disguise off-key inaccuracies in vocal tracks. The device allowed virtually anyone without music skills to become a singer and new waves of mainstream radio stars were instantly fabricated. The business of music became stronger and more important than the art of music.

For more than a decade, I’ve been on a rock and roll pilgrimage to help promote and save the greatest music the world has ever known. Before the internet and Napster, virtuoso musicians traditionally introduced their music by way of mainstream radio stations while anxious music enthusiasts hurried to their favorite record stores and purchased a copy of the artist’s latest release. Talk radio wasn’t popular because there was way too much great music to play over the airwaves. Advertisers didn’t rule the airwaves, the music did. Rock legends toured the world to promote their latest albums and prices of concert tickets were extremely affordable. Proficient musicians, singers, and songwriters are what made the music so great.

“Today, we welcome a guitarist whose story feels almost too legendary to be real. Michael Hampton — the young phenom who walked into the Parliament‑Funkadelic galaxy at just seventeen and instantly became part of its gravitational pull. A Rock & Roll Hall of Famer, a torchbearer of the Mothership, and the man behind some of the most transcendent guitar moments in funk history. From the cosmic chaos of the P‑Funk stage to the spiritual electricity of his ‘Maggot Brain’ performances, Hampton has always played like he’s channeling something bigger — something ancient, futuristic, and deeply human all at once.Today, we dive into the journey of a quiet giant whose guitar has spoken louder than words for nearly five decades. Michael Hampton… welcome to the show.” PURCHASEA founding father of power-funk electric guitar MICHAEL HAMPTON‘INTO THE PUBLIC DOMAIN’AThttps://michaelhampton.bandcamp.com/album/into-the-public-domain-2Bandcamp “Electric Psychedelic Guitar Fusion with a Funk Pulse That Never Stops Beating...This record is a mesmerizing swirl of electric psychedelic guitar fusion, stitched together with the unmistakable funk DNA that made Hampton a pillar of the Parliament/Funkadelic universe. But what’s striking here is how personal the music feels. There’s no need for vocals; the guitar does all the speaking, testifying, and time traveling.” ...By Music Journalist Ray Shasho5 starsMichael Hampton--Lead GuitarPhilip Samuel Smith--Rhythm GuitarPhil Keaggy--Guest Lead GuitarJohn Schreffler--Pedal Steel GuitarMatt Lesser--DrumsMike Labombard—Saxophone FOR MORE INFORMATIONABOUTMICHAEL HAMPTONVISIThttps://www.tiktok.com/@ma_wa_haTikTokhttps://www.instagram.com/michaelwhampton/Instagramhttps://open.spotify.com/artist/5rhBe5DqUbACYzqerQa9R0Spotifyhttps://www.facebook.com/p/Michael-Hampton-100040199001670/Facebookhttps://www.youtube.com/@MaWaHaYouTubehttps://georgeclinton.com/George Clinton Official Sitehttps://www.facebook.com/georgeclintonpfunkGeorge Clinton Facebook UPCOMINGGEORGE CLINTONPARLIAMENT-FUNKADELICSHOWSSat, APR 11The PFunk Festival 2026Tallahassee, FLApr. 25 - 26, 2026Austin Blues Festival 2026Austin, TXMay. 21 - 24, 2026Jacksonville Jazz Festival 2026Jacksonville, FLSun, MAY 24Hollywood Casino Joliet FUNKADELICDISCOGRAPHYFunkadelic (1970)Free Your Mind... and Your Ass Will Follow (1970)Maggot Brain (1971)America Eats Its Young (1972)Cosmic Slop (1973)Standing on the Verge of Getting It On (1974)Let's Take It to the Stage (1975)Tales of Kidd Funkadelic (1976)Hardcore Jollies (1976)One Nation Under a Groove (1978)Uncle Jam Wants You (1979)Connections & Disconnections (1980)The Electric Spanking of War Babies (1981)By Way of the Drum (2007)First Ya Gotta Shake the Gate (2014) PARLIAMENTDISCOGRAPHYOsmium (1970)Up for the Down Stroke (1974)Chocolate City (1975)Mothership Connection (1975)The Clones of Dr. Funkenstein (1976)Funkentelechy vs. the Placebo Syndrome (1977)Motor Booty Affair (1978)Gloryhallastoopid (1979)Trombipulation (1980)Medicaid Fraud Dogg (2018) Notable songs"Maggot Brain" (Funkadelic), 1971"Up for the Down Stroke" (Parliament), 1974"Chocolate City" (Parliament), 1975"P-Funk (Wants to Get Funked Up)" (Parliament), 1975"Give Up The Funk (Tear The Roof Off The Sucker)" (Parliament), 1976"Do That Stuff" (Parliament), 1976"I'd Rather Be With You" (Bootsy's Rubber Band), 1976"Bop Gun (Endangered Species)" (Parliament), 1977"Funkentelechy" (Parliament), 1978"The Pinocchio Theory" (Bootsy's Rubber Band), 1977"Aqua Boogie (A Psychoalphadiscobetabioaquadoloop)" (Parliament), 1978"Bootzilla" (Bootsy's Rubber Band), 1978"Flash Light" (Parliament), 1978"One Nation Under a Groove" (Funkadelic), 1978"(Not Just) Knee Deep" (Funkadelic), 1979"The Electric Spanking of War Babies" (Funkadelic), 1981  Support us on PayPal!
“Today we’re joined by Grammy‑nominated guitarist, singer, and producer Rick Vito — a musician whose fingerprints are all over modern blues and rock. From his unforgettable era with Fleetwood Mac to his work with legends like Bonnie Raitt, Jackson Browne, and Bob Seger, Rick has carved out a sound that’s equal parts soulful, sharp, and unmistakably his own. He’s a slide master, a storyteller, and a keeper of the blues flame. Rick Vito’s new album, Slidemaster, will be officially released on April 3rd. “Today, we sit down with a guitarist whose journey has never followed the map — only the music. From the blue‑collar grit of Tesla to the wide‑open landscapes of his new instrumental album Reflections, Frank Hannon has spent four decades chasing tone, truth, and the kind of melodies that outlive trends. He’s a storyteller without needing words, a player who can move from a Les Paul roar to a country‑western whisper, and a man who’s learned as much from life’s storms as from its stages. Frank Hannon, it’s an honor to have you here — let’s talk about the roads that shaped you.” PURCHASETHE LATEST RELEASEFROMFRANK HANNONentitled‘REFLECTIONS’AThttps://frankhannon.com/#shopFrank Hannon’s Reflections is nothing short of a revelation — a masterclass in instrumental storytelling from a guitarist who has nothing left to prove yet still finds new emotional terrain to explore. KYLIE WILLOWGOODBYE TO NUMBER 8A TRIBUTE TO CAL RIPKENROCK RAYMOND PRODUCTIONS INC.© Copyright rockraymondproductions.com All Rights Reserved.CAPSHA RECORDSLYRICS: “Goodbye to Number 8” — Lyrics for Kylie WillowVerse 1Dad woke me up before sunrise, said “Kid, today you’ll understand.” Baltimore was glowing like a lantern in his hands. We walked through Camden Yards, the sky painted in Orioles orange and fate,And he whispered like a prayer,“This is the last time we’ll see Number 8.” Pre‑ChorusI didn’t know the weight of legends,But I knew the weight of his shaking voice.Heroes teach you how to stand tall,But fathers teach you how to choose that choice. ChorusAnd we cried when the Iron Man took his final bow,Two slow tears rolling like the rain coming down.Dad’s hero became my hero, in that moment at the gate,When baseball said goodbye… goodbye to Number 8.Oh, I held his hand so tight that day,As we said goodbye to Number 8. Verse 2He told me how Ripken showed the world what showing up can mean,How 2,130 days became a promise kept, not just a streak. The crowd rose like a single heartbeat,A city standing tall and brave,And Dad said, “Remember this, Kylie… greatness isn’t something you chase — it’s something you give away.” Pre‑ChorusI watched his eyes shine like stadium lights,Saw the boy he used to be.And in that roar of Baltimore,He passed his hero down to me. BridgeYears later when I’m lost, I hear that crowd again,Hear Dad whisper, “Show up, kid… that’s how you win.” And I swear I feel Camden Yards beneath my feet,The echo of a legend, the echo of his heartbeat. Final ChorusYeah, we cried when the Iron Man took his final bow,But those tears became the fire that still guides me now.’Cause the heroes we inherit shape the ones we create,And I became who I am…The day we said goodbye to Number 8.Oh, Dad, I’m still holding your hand that day,When we said goodbye…Goodbye to Number 8. Support us on PayPal!
Kylie Willow'When The World Hears The Song'Original songwritingRock Raymond Productions Inc.© Copyright rockraymondproductions.com All Rights Reserved.CAPSHA RECORDSLyrics:Verse 1There’s a man with a guitar on a quiet French road,Singing soft to the wild ones nobody can hold. And the wolves and the horses walk right to his side, Like they’re hearing a truth they’ve been missing inside. No words in between them, just a breath and a chord,And the fear melts away like it’s never been born.Makes you wonder if maybe we’ve had it all wrong —Maybe peace isn’t spoken, maybe peace is a song.Chorus’Cause when the world hears the song, Every heart beats along.Doesn’t matter where you’re from,We all know where we belong. In the rhythm of love, In the quiet of dawn,We remember we’re oneWhen the world hears the song.Verse 2I’ve seen strangers turn gentle when a melody plays,Seen the hardest of hearts start to soften and sway.Every tear, every smile, every soul in the crowdFinds a piece of themselves in the rise and the sound. And the wars that we fight, all the lines that we draw,Disappear for a moment when the music takes hold.If a lion can listen, if a sparrow can trust,Maybe someday the world will learn that from us.Chorus’Cause when the world hears the song,Every heart beats along.Doesn’t matter where you’re from,We all know where we belong. In the rhythm of love, In the quiet of dawn,We remember we’re oneWhen the world hears the song.BridgeMaybe peace isn’t loud, maybe peace isn’t grand,Maybe peace is a whisper in the palm of your hand.Maybe all that we need is a voice and a chord —A reminder of something we’ve forgotten before.Final ChorusWhen the world hears the song,Every heart beats along. And the walls that we buildStart to crumble and fall.In the rhythm of love,We remember we’re strong —We remember we’re oneWhen the world hears the song. FOR MORE INFORMATIONABOUTKYLIE WILLOWVISIThttps://www.kyliewillowofficialsite.com/ FOR MORE INFORMATIONABOUTROCK RAYMOND PRODUCTIONSVISIThttps://www.rockraymondproductionsinc.com/ Support us on PayPal!
“Glass Wings Over Liverpool” — Original Lyrics for Kylie WillowRock Raymond Productions Inc.© Copyright rockraymondproductions.com All Rights Reserved.CAPSHA RECORDSVerse 1I walked the streets where your shadow bends, Past the ghosts of songs you never penned. There’s a whisper caught in the Mersey tide,Saying love is real if we stay wide‑eyed. And the sky turns green like a painted truth,While the world keeps spinning on your missing youth.Pre‑ChorusAnd I swear I hear you hummingThrough the cracks in every dawn—A melody becomingAll the places you’ve gone.ChorusGlass wings over Liverpool, Shining where the broken heal. You taught us how to dream out loud,How to turn the pain we feel Into something bright and beautiful— A song the world can still believe. And I’m singing it for you tonight,So you can finally breathe.Verse 2There’s a boy with round‑frame glasses on,Strumming chords of a half‑remembered song.He says, “Tell the truth, even when it stings,”And the rooftops answer back with silver rings.I see peace signs drawn in the evening rain, Like the world still trying to spell your name.Pre‑ChorusAnd the colors start to shimmer Like a dream you left behind— A message growing clearer In the corners of my mind.ChorusGlass wings over Liverpool,Shining where the broken heal. You taught us how to dream out loud,How to turn the pain we feelInto something bright and beautiful— A song the world can still believe. And I’m singing it for you tonight,So you can finally breathe. Final Chorus (Soft, devastating)Glass wings over Liverpool, Carrying the light you gave. And though the world keeps changing shape,Your echo still behavesJohn, I hear you in the quiet— A truth I’m still learning to hold. Like a heartbeat in the silence,Like a prayer that never leaves.I’m singing it for you tonight So you can finally breathe.FOR MORE INFORMATIONABOUTKYLIE WILLOWVISIThttps://www.kyliewillowofficialsite.com/ FOR MORE INFORMATIONABOUTROCK RAYMOND PRODUCTIONSVISIThttps://www.rockraymondproductionsinc.com/ Support us on PayPal!

“Cowgirl Soul (Never Sold)” by CLARA JUNEROCK RAYMOND PRODUCTIONS© Copyright rockraymondproductions.com All Rights Reserved.CAPSHA RECORDSLYRICS:Verse 1 I was born where the bluegrass grows,Neon lights and dusty roads, Singing my heart out in a smoky bar,Dreamin’ big but staying who we are.One night a man in a suit came through,Said, “Girl, the world’s been waitin’ for you.”He laid down papers, promises, gold,But I felt the weight of chains unfold.ChorusI don’t need a stage in New York City,Or a spotlight burning out my soul.I’ll take the love of a small-town family,And a front porch where the night feels whole.I’ll raise my babies, sing my songs,With freedom in my voice that’s strong.I’ll keep my fire, I’ll keep my roots,On my own terms, in my own boots.Verse 2They talked of fame, they talked of charts, But I saw cages dressed up as art.I want the laughter, the Sunday hymns,Not a contract telling me who I am.So I packed my guitar, kissed that dream,Headed home to where the fields still gleam.I’ll play for friends, I’ll play for kin,And let the music breathe where it begins.ChorusI don’t need a stage in New York City, Or a spotlight burning out my soul.I’ll take the love of a small-town family,And a front porch where the night feels whole.I’ll raise my babies, sing my songs,With freedom in my voice that’s strong.I’ll keep my fire, I’ll keep my roots,On my own terms, in my own boots.BridgeMaybe someday they’ll hear my tune,From a backroad bar under a harvest moon. But I’ll be smiling, I’ll be free,Living the life that was meant for me.Final Chorus (lifted)I don’t need a crown or city lights,I’ve got Kentucky stars to guide my nights. I’ll raise my babies, sing my songs,With freedom in my voice that’s strong.I’ll keep my fire, I’ll keep my roots,On my own terms, in my own boots.Support us on PayPal!
A DIRE WARNING ABOUT THE FUTURE OF EARTH In a fractured America ruled by the authoritarian Commonwealth Party, freedom is a relic of the past. Democracy has crumbled, the media is silenced, and truth is a weapon. But one man, Sam Edwards, a decorated Marine veteran and journalist, holds the key to unlocking a future worth fighting for.The Liberty Code was meant to be fiction. But with the telepathic guidance of two extraterrestrial Centauri ambassadors, J-Rod and Naxia, it reveals a hidden reality more terrifying, and more hopeful, than anyone imagined. From the classified S4 facility near Area 51 to the ruins of suppressed democracies, Edwards uncovers a global conspiracy and the master plan to stop it.After J-Rod’s death, a mission begins to fulfill his vision: the permanent elimination of nuclear weapons, the revival of free societies, and the awakening of Earth's people to a galactic truth long denied. Covert military operations like Operation Yuma liberate nations, and a new chapter begins as Earth’s enemies are exposed and confronted. But power resists change. The Commonwealth's grip tightens. The Blackout Committee censors all dissent. Journalists vanish, AI manipulates public perception, and chaos reigns. Through it all, a secret force rises, the Liberty Regiment. Men and women who refuse to surrender, who carry the last ember of the American spirit. As the fight for Earth’s soul intensifies, Edwards, along with Naxia and trusted allies, embarks on an interstellar journey to Proxima Centauri b, determined to preserve the truth and document a future shaped by alien allies and human courage. The Liberty Code is more than a novel. It’s a battle cry, a love story, and a blueprint for redemption. The truth is no longer hidden. The war for Earth has already begun. In early August 2021, John McCutcheon reached out to his longtime friend Tom Paxton with a simple idea: why not use Zoom—a newly essential tool in those pandemic days—to connect, ease the isolation of COVID, and maybe write a few songs together?  That following Monday at 2:00 PM Eastern, they logged in. One Monday led to the next, and soon the weekly sessions became a ritual. More than four years later, they’re still at it. Now comes Together Again another fourteen songs from two of the most revered songwriters in acoustic music. This time, things look a little different: at 88, Paxton has retired from the road, and McCutcheon, a spry 73, has scaled back his touring schedule. But both remain at the height of their creative powers. It’s a rare and welcome thing to find them—Together Again. Please welcome folk legends TOM PAXTON and JOHN McCUTCHEON to Interviewing the Legends.PURCHASETHE NEW ALBUMBYTOM PAXTONANDJOHN McCUTCHEONentitled‘TOGETHER AGAIN’AVAILABLE AThttps://tompaxton.bandcamp.com/album/together"Listening to Together Again is like opening your favorite book — each song a new chapter, each track an incredible story that lingers long after the final note." 5 STARS! ... by music journalist Ray Shasho FOR MORE INFORMATIONABOUTTOM PAXTONVISIThttps://www.tompaxton.com/Official website https://www.facebook.com/TomPaxtonMusicFacebookhttps://tompaxton.bandcamp.com/Bandcamphttps://tompaxton.bandcamp.com/Apple FOR MORE INFORMATIONABOUTJOHN McCUTCHEONVISIThttps://www.folkmusic.com/Official websitehttps://www.facebook.com/people/John-McCutcheon/100063915871608/Facebookhttps://x.com/mccutcheonfolkTwitterSupport us on PayPal!

“Welcome to Interviewing the Legends, where curiosity meets the cosmos. I’m your host, Ray Shasho, and today we’re venturing into the unknown with one of the most provocative minds in astrophysics—Professor Avi Loeb. Today’s broadcast is brought to you by my new novel The Liberty Code. The novel explores a tense future where political intrigue, military conflict, and extraterrestrial intervention collide in a high stakes battle for the survival of humanity. From Harvard to the stars, Professor Avi Loeb has challenged the boundaries of mainstream science, asking bold questions about interstellar visitors like ‘Oumuamua and now, 3I/ATLAS. Is it a comet? A probe? Something else entirely? In this episode, we’ll explore the anomalies, the evidence, and the implications of what might be the most mysterious object to enter our solar system. Buckle up—this conversation might just change how you see the universe.”   FOR MORE INFORMORATION ABOUT PROFESSOR AVI LOEB VISIT THESE LINKS https://lweb.cfa.harvard.edu/~loeb/ https://astronomy.fas.harvard.edu/people/avi-loeb https://www..com/2024/04/avi-loeb-galileo-project https://sites.psu.edu/astrowright/2025/07/18/avi-and-3i-atlas/   Support us on PayPal!
"Reach For The Light" Sung by Kylie Willow Rock Raymond Productions CAPSHA RECORDS © Copyright rockraymondproductions.com All Rights Reserved. lyrics: The streets are crying, hearts are torn Too many battles we were never born to fight. But I see colors in the storm A thousand voices rising, reaching for the light.   [Pre-Chorus] We’ve been strangers in the silence, But I believe in breaking through If we listen, if we try this We can build a world brand new. [Chorus] So, I’ll sing for the broken, the brave and the true  Raise a melody higher than the wounds we knew  Let the rhythm be shelter, the harmony heal  We can change the world if we dare to feel  Reach for the light, reach for the light  Together we rise, together we fight—with love   [Verse 2]  I’ve seen children draw their dreams On shattered walls with crayons made of hope  And I’ve heard elders softly plead  For unity to hold us, not just cope   [Verse 3] There’s a whisper in the static  A lullaby beneath the noise  It says, “Peace begins with one” And echoes in a million voices   [Bridge]  No more fists, no more fear Let the music pull us near  Every note a thread of grace Weaving peace in every place   [Repeating Lyric / Hook] “Can you hear me? I’m still here…” (softly layered, haunting, repeated like a distant call)  “Can you hear me? I’m still here…” (used between chorus and outro, fading in and out)   [Final Chorus] So, I’ll sing for the broken, the brave and the true Raise a melody higher than the wounds we knew  Let the rhythm be shelter, the harmony heal We can change the world if we dare to feel Reach for the light, reach for the light Together we rise, together we fight—with love   [Outro]  “Can you hear me? I’m still here…” With love… We reach for the light for more information about KYLIE WILLOW visit https://www.kyliewillowofficialsite.com/   Support us on PayPal!
