After taking a break from podcasting, i'm back & i promise it only gets better from here.... sorry i cut off abruptly btw i'm uploading the second half in the next episode <3 as a former perfectionist I'm not beating myself up for not having the perfect episode, just a decent attempt will do.
I've been talking about it in class, now I'm talking about it on my podcast. Seriously I do believe that the world would be a much more beautiful place if we all had some form of creative outlet. Which is why I'm working towards it, every single day, and why I'm a huge advocate for creativity. It's a gift. Even this episode is the child of a moment of creativity. I hope you find something to love about it :")
Will be discussing my job(s), the perks of being self-employed, the downsides of selling my own labour, the fulfilment to be had when I get to keep a hundred percent of my labour surplus value. But specifically, what I've been trying my best to do as an active contributive member of society................ with capitalist VS communism dichotomy undertones. Also, my favourite video-conferencing platforms as well as a minor gripe (what about, I can't remember because I recorded this episode and typed this description 8 days apart)

It's been a pretty eventful month so far. Here's an update on how I've been, some things I've learnt, some advice I want to leave for you. Love always :D
Exactly what the title says — a lot of self doubt & feeling like an imposter when it comes to school, personal life & working relationships. This adulting thing is so difficult. Seriously. Except very rarely do I actually feel like an adult. I'm too busy fretting over minor blips in my existence (white pages, an essay, a lunch out with my friends). Plus the whole rosy & not-so-rosy side of social media and HOW IT HAS MESSED WITH MY PERCEPTION OF REALITY and, you guessed it, fed my self-doubt and imposter syndrome. Very interesting stuff.
still learning! here's a little glimpse into what i've learnt thus far and what i plan to work on in the future
Back to school

Back to school

Not me though, I'm not going back to school just yet. Hehe. Here's six years of secondary and JC education summed up to the best of my ability, the highs and lows and the parts I really really really miss! Hopefully there'll be something to take away from my half-hour rambling, whether it's the relationships cultivated or the highly-abbreviated stories shared.
Brooke doesn't understand social media. If it isn't obvious enough from the episode title, she's lost, bamboozled, confused, flabbergasted. Social media is so multifaceted a concept that she, a newbie to the scene, is still trying to figure out. Its positive and negative and ambiguous implications mean that everyone's experience is a necessary continuum — not a b&w dichotomy. Maybe you can find some comfort in this episode. <3
Brooke has been talking about making a podcast since forever, so it's about time she sat down and actually worked on it. In her first ever episode (!!) she's going to be talking about school — what she struggled with, how she coped, how she tried to stay afloat amidst the gazillion responsibilities in school. Since it's the start of the school year for so many of you, she's also going to be answering some of your questions about that.
