Intrapreneurship as a key driver for Innovation Intrapreneurship is what employees do to Innovate within the corporate Framework just like an entrepreneur does for his start-up This is taken from a recent Webinar where 3 preeminent Leaders Mr. Dev Amritesh (MD - Compass Group, India) Mr. Marzin R Shroff (MD & CEO, Eureka Forbes) Mr. Nitin Seth (CEO - New Mobility, Reliance Industries Limited) discussed Intrapreneurship. I have given details of the brilliant and insightful discussion along with my take and thoughts around the same topic.  Short Pearls of Insights as Key Take Away.  Intrapreneurship Describes a people-centric bottom-up approach to developing radical innovations in-house. Intrapreneurship pays off many times over in terms of company growth, culture, and talent. It is not about creating intrapreneurs, it's about finding and recognizing them. Intrapreneurs know the rules and circumvent any orders aimed at stopping their passion. Intrapreneurship requires a different management approach. Listen to the Full Podcast and send me your thoughts around the same subject to harsha@harshavardhansarvepalli.com Cheers, Harsha Vardhan
Emotional Intelligence (EI) is "abilities such as being able to motivate oneself and survive in the face of frustrations; to control impulse and delay gratification; to manage one's moods and keep distress from swamping the ability to think; to empathize and to hope." Therefore, emotional intelligence is defined as “the capacity for recognizing our own feelings and those of others, for motivating ourselves, and for managing emotions well in ourselves and in our relationships” It isn’t overstating the obvious to establish that, just like the muscles in our bodies, EI skills must be used and developed, then used and developed some more. This is true for all leaders no matter their level in the organization or years of experience. Just as athletes must consistently work out and train to sharpen their fitness, so leaders must consistently work to use and hone EI muscles to sharpen their effectiveness. “God grant me the serenity to accept the people I cannot change, the courage to change the one I can, and the wisdom to know it’s me.” — Unknown The best advice I got from one of my managers long ago was, “change yourself first.”  His rationale was simple: You’re the only one you can change, and the fastest thing you can change in any situation is yourself. Self-transformation is the key to getting unstuck. Changing others is tough.  You can inspire, motivate, cajole, or influence others, but at the end of the day, changing yourself is the fastest way to change your results. After all, you control your attitude and your actions. This Podcast will give you 6 essential parameters for Self-transformation they are the very foundational and not high fancy terms and they have been proven methodologies and live by them always.  In case you want to know any elements In greater details please feel free to write to me harsha@harshavardhansarvepalli.com and leave your contact co-ordinates in the mail and I shall get back to you.  HV

We procrastinate over trivial feelings of anxiety. And procrastination takes hold simply because we never truly examine what anxiety is, to become aware of the anxiety, name the anxiety, and then deal with that anxiety is imperative.  Did you know that 88% of the workforce from a sample size of 3000 surveys tend to procrastinate at least for 2 hours a day? 20% of adults around the world, procrastination is habitual, and thus, chronic. Research says that procrastination is nothing to do with Work. Procrastination is a sort of stress relief, you are procrastinating to give yourself a break at work. Identify the big ass cloud of Stress on your head, name it, build your awareness that this stress is screwing you over again, and talk to yourself and forgive yourself. Procrastination becomes a habit as it's triggered by stress.
