BJU's School of Health Professions faculty members are actively serving in their respective fields during semester breaks, an activity that keeps them up-to-date with the latest trends in health and medical practices. Dr. Jessica Minor, a 2007 graduate of BJU herself, shares how students from her school are seeing success both in the classroom and upon graduation, thanks to the sacrificial investment of the faculty in their lives.

Dr. Brian Carruthers, Dean of the School of Education and Human Services at Bob Jones University, shares a bit about his journey in Christian education (over 40 years of experience) and how his faculty and staff are preparing their students at BJU to pursue a higher calling.

With over 30 years of experience discipling students at Bob Jones University, Chief Student Development Officer, Jon Daulton, has a heart for college students. He loves being around them and he loves being part of what God is doing in their lives. Dr. Matthew Weathers recently joined Dr. McAllister team as BJU’s Chief Enrollment Officer. He has big goals with an even bigger commitment to the mission of BJU and the efforts to recruit students who will greatly benefit from that timeless mission. In this short interview, you’ll get some insight on his intentional style of leadership and you’ll certainly hear his heart for moving BJU forward.
Dr. Pattye Casarow is not only the interim Dean of the School of Fine Arts and Communication at Bob Jones University, but she also directs the University Singers, a choir designed specifically for first-year students at BJU. Today you have the special treat to hear Teaghan Bair, a first year nursing major and the president of the U Singers officer crew, interview her choir director. You’ll also hear from another member of the officer crew, Emmy Omondi, a health sciences major, as they chat with Dr. Casarow about the opportunities and privileges provided to students who participate in quote, freshman choir, at BJU.
Dr. Julie Hartman is the Division Chair for the Division of Human Services at Bob Jones University. While this is a relatively new name for programs that have existed for many years at BJU, Dr. Hartman also has seen exponential growth opportunities for young people who have a burden to reach their communities with the Gospel. Already graduates from this division have seen success and open doors through their training at BJU as their pursue a higher calling.

Dr. Beverly Cormican brings a breadth and depth of nontraditional classroom experience to her role as the Vice Provost for Online Learning at BJU. You will find SCOPE in every school or college at Bob Jones University, and Dr. Cormican’s team is personally engaged with their students thanks to the advances in technology and the online opportunities BJU has they prepare students to pursue a higher calling.
