Description

When I first married a farmer I felt alone. As a city girl there were so many new things and challenges that I never thought I would face. I felt like no one quite understood what I was going through.

The goal of this podcast is to help give you a community while strengthening your relationship with your farmer. We’ll discuss things like finding your unique role, compromise, and blooming where you’re planted. I learned a lot of things the hard way, and if I can help you not go through the same things, my goal will be accomplished.

Here’s the facts: you can’t go back in time. So please stop letting it take away your joy in the now. There is so much beauty in the present and it can fly right by without you noticing. Take time to enjoy where you are now.
Even though it can be hard to accept, sometimes your best won’t be good enough. That’s ok! Your best today won’t be your best in a year. You can learn and grow. However, some people are never pleased no matter how hard you try. Those people can pound sand.
Often times we’re pulled so many different ways that our relationship with our spouse is the last thing on our minds. However making your relationship a priority creates a strong foundation for your family and lasting love for years to come.
In this episode I talk about my adjustment from city girl to farm wife and how hard it was. I relied on my husband to make me happy. Now, I’m sharing the mindset shifts I made to create my own happiness and blossom into my true potential, and how you can too.
Time is time. Make the most of the time you have with your husband whether it’s feeding cows, changing sprinklers, or chatting in the tractor. I promise everyone will be so much happier!
Sometimes as women we put unrealistic expectations on ourselves to be everywhere we’re needed 100% of the time. Give yourself grace, take the opportunity to learn, and put everything back into perspective. I promise you’ll feel better.
