Obeying God. Last Sunday we learnt that God is in control and his covenant of salvation with us. If we believe God has our best interest at heart, then we need to learn how to obey him which is the theme to today's readings. The word "obedience" comes from Latin and means "to listen intently". It means to be attentive to the ways in which God reveals himself and to respond to the invitation to accept and follow God's will and guidance.
Let God be your guide: This Sunday we begin the season of Lent, a time of preparation for the celebration of Easter, the most important season in the church's calendar.Today's readings help us to realize that God governs the world and overseas each person' life.  Are you ready to place yourself under God's guidance?

True Authority. This Sunday's readings focuses on true God-given authority. Moses, Paul and Jesus spoke with this authority and were empowered to act as God's servants and spoke his words fearlessly. As such, they were able to fulfil God's will and accomplish God's purposes in this world.
Change of  Heart:  This Sunday's readings ask us to repent and undergo a change of heart.  This change begins with listening to the voice of God attentively and to respond to it through a change in the focus of our lives.
