Isla is back!! And we are so happy about it! After a not so great day there's nothing better than a conversation with a friend- and that's how this phone call was for us. Isla shares about her past few months and how it taught her how to listen to God rather than people. Listening to God rather than people can be difficult, especially when people's voices in life are very loud. But it is made easier when we prioritize and really value the Lord's voice rather than people's opinions. There are things that keep us from believing that God's voice really is the best for us in our lives, Isla shares some things that were keeping her from trusting the Lord and how she worked through them. MM shares a similar to story of Isla's in the Bible- David in 1 Samuel. Sometimes we forget that the Bible is full of relatable stories that are to teach us how to grow in relationship with God and freedom. Isla also talks about her post grad experience with jobs and offers advice for the person that just feels like they are in the "In-Between" whether it's with jobs, relationships, or anything. We hope that this real conversation encourages you to walk a little more confidently i trusting the Lord above all else with your life and leads you to a life of freedom. We are so thankful for you. Riley shares her personal testimony on how she faced a near death experience in the Boxing Day Tsunami and how she overcame her fear that resulted from living through such a tragic event. She shares how her parents were an incredible encouragement to her facing her fears and to her living a life full of adventure. Through her personal experience, Riley shares her wisdom on how to acknowledge fear and live an authentic, JOY-FILLED life! Rather than just ignoring fears, she explains how it's important to acknowledge them to truly overcome them. And even talks on what to do when those fears are triggered. Courage is something most of us are all in search for a little more of in our lives. Riley explains what courage is and how to have it in everyday life. In this little bonus episode I talk to y'all straight from the heart while in the car about a conflict Chance and I had and how it is crazy how much LOVE transforms you heart. It allowed me to see in a new light how much the Lord really loves us. Crazy cool how marriage will do that! On Episode 28 of Season 2, of the In this Together podcast MM sits down with her husband Chance to talk about all things Relationships, Annoyances, Baseball Life, and Transitions! Chance and MM talk about their 4 moves in 6 months and how to handle transitions with your spouse- the key really being patience. MM's favorite transition verse so far: “Let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God." James 1:19-20 If you're a baseball girlfriend, fiance, wife, they also talk a little bit about what the last few months have looked like in terms of off season and spring training. And if you're not in baseball at all they talk about how to spend time with each other amidst demanding schedules and how to best support one another. Annoyances and problems are unavoidable in relationships, MM and Chance talk about how to work through them and how to identify between the two. Lastly, they talk on how to keep your spiritual separate while also encouraging one another for all seasons of relationships. We hope this podcast encourages a healthy and faith filled relationship! How can we be In This Together with Nashville during such a horrific time? How can we be In This Together as a Church? As a people? With those hurting around us? On this episode MM talks about how we are called to be In This Together with people- especially in devastating circumstances. This episode is to encourage prayer most importantly. As well as to encourage us to ask God "how can we be a vessel of your love, healing, and peace in times like these?"
