Nearing the end of this parenting series, Pastor Trice in this episode takes up some questions that arise as the work of parenting comes to a close: When does parental authority end?, When are kids ready to leave home?, How should college kids be parented?, and How can our kids leave home without leaving the Church?
In this episode Pastor Trice takes up the subject of parental leadership of sons and daughters through the dating process and into marriage, with an emphasis on both the urgency of that leadership, and the great opportunity it presents to be a blessing to our children.
Having warned against the danger of worldliness in our kids, Pastor Trice now turns to consider an opposing danger: a lack of "world-readiness." After reminding parents of their goal to prepare their kids to take their place in the world as salt and light, he offers a profile of what a "world-ready" young person looks like.
In this episode Pastor Trice continues to consider the challenges of raising kids in an internet age by waving some red flags at fellow parents about the subversive content and addictive nature of online entertainment.
In this week's episode Pastor Trice talks about the pitfalls for our children of having an online social life, and especially how parents can be proactive in their instruction when their children venture into the world of social media.
In this follow-up to the previous episode, Pastor Trice responds to common objections to biblical teaching on feminine modesty. He then gives exhortations to parents about their own hearts in this matter as they lead their daughters.
This week's episode resumes a series on Christian parenting. After outlining the aims of biblical modesty, Pastor Trice gives guidance on how parents can instruct and oversee their young adult daughters in the pursuit of this vital feminine virtue.
With a focus on the temptations of young men, Pastor Trice considers various ways that parents can provide guidance and accountability to their sons in the fight for sexual purity.
In addition to giving counsel about how to share about "the birds and the bees" with our children, Pastor Trice provides guidance on how to disciple maturing children in a biblical view of sexuality.
