Description
The Abyss is a weekly dance show hosted by Jon Hodgson and dedicated to the latest pre-releases, white-labels and emergent previews in electronic dance music - essentially a total promo-fest!
Each episode is two hours slowly descending from the light and bouncy to the dark and deep over the length of the show.
We feature occasional guest mixes from both established and up-and-coming artists within the dance scene, with their set left completely up to the artist to showcase their talents, taste and skills.
The show broadcasts each week and can be heard from various syndicated sources gently sprinkled around the planet.

Laid back rework of Mr. Probz track, "Waves", a large sprinkle of funky bass-heavy house mixed in with breaks and progressive and techno squeezed into the next two hours!
A couple of white labels to sprinkle amongst this weeks promo loveliness - including a reprise version of Angie Stone's classic dance track "Wish I didn't miss you" that is getting a serious on the fly remix - not one to miss!
After an unexpected week off, looking forward to getting back in the saddle and dropping this weeks promos over the course of the next two hours.
Serious rework of The Killers track, "Somebody Told Me" wrapped around some funky yet bass-loaded house, a journey into progressive, followed by the harder side of 4/4. Nice.
Quite a significant breaks section showcasing some of the varied approaches to this epic genre featuring in this week's episode of The Abyss radio show. Sandwiched by a musical journey into 4/4 electronic dance music. Lovely.
