Hannover and Bristol was one of the very first twin city arrangements in the German-British history. But this is not everything: both share their passion for StreetArt. We go through the streets of Hannover and Bristol and talk about the history, the present and the future of StreetArt. Why doesn’t Marc like the term ‚Urban art‘? Do people in Bristol really sound like pirates? We take a deep dive into the topic and sometimes even get a bit philosophical and nostalgic.
Three years after meeting each other for the first time in Inverness, John and Christof came together again. Their connection? Their passion for bikes and living in the twin cities Augsburg and Inverness. Come on a  journey of stories about exhausting travels, good beer and whiskey.  Essential questions in this episodes are:  Does Nessi really exist and if yes: How do you make sure to be able to see her?  Why does Christof mention Venice when talking about Augsburg?
Coventry and Dresden. A friendship that rose up like a Phoenix from the ashes; reconciliation and forgiveness played the key role. The guests Monika Campbell from Coventry and Rainer Barczaitis from Dresden have been working on a very special twin city project which they are going to talk about in detail. A taster will give an insight in the result of their collaborative project.
Luise, student at the University of York, and Gesa, former student at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster, talk about their experiences, awesome student locations and tell us funny and semi-funny anecdotes. Why does Longboi have around 47k followers on Instagram and what does he have to do with the University of York? What happened on the staircases of the English faculty in Münster?
Emma and Kathryn are from Manchester, Steffi from Chemnitz. They are a dream team since the pandemic started, but how did they meet and how do they perceive their cities? Two things are certain: It wasn’t a typical „twin-city-getting-to-know“! and We found that Manchester and Chemnitz, both historically and presently, share more than we thought.
What are Twin cities and why does Rob believe that it is difficult for the inhabitants of this big island (that he belongs to) to travel to the mainland? Rob Self-Pierson, author of the book „Twinned with…“, is going to explain the concept of twinning and will share his experiences, tell us about acquaintances and his insights he gained on his trip through Europe. At the end of the 1940s, the first twin cities between Great Britain and Germany were established and around 553 of those still exist.
