Season 2 Episode 29 Welcome back neighbors, its been a minute and as usual life has been serving me up insights that sometimes blossom from my own misery and suffering but c'est la vie. At least the lessons give the suffering value and then I can bring it back to you. Today a I attempt to get philosophical about the true nature of happiness and the resistance we bring to ourselves that makes joy feel impossible in a reality where joy is almost always possible. We finish off with a short little known lecture from the great Alan Watts about the unmatched ancient wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita, from which I have pulled verses to support my ideas through the first half of the show. Season 2 Episode 15 Hey my dudes Im back and his weeks episode is another crazy story of a personal encounter I had less than a week ago as I record this. Who wants to start a sky watching club or some fcking thing, because wow neighbors, I had a very unusual and surreal otherworldly encounter out on my back deck last week and I am here to spill the details of it to you. Season 2 Episode 14 Welcome back for another episode of the Strange Neighborhood Podcast, this week's show is all about learning to interpret classical mythology and it's symbolism in new ways, unlocking the secrets held within the ancient stories. Looking at them as a symbol for the macro to us, an interpretation of what is going on within and how to elevate ourselves with the ancient wisdom is these tales. As usual I lean on the wise words of one of my favorite thinkers of all time, Manly P. Hall and let him share his practical and insightful way of looking into the past for deep esoteric knowledge, which he in turn leans on the wise words and concepts of Sir Francis Bacon to help us understand these old allegories. Anyone familiar with him knows that Mr. Hall really has a way of breaking complex ideas down into simple terms that demystify the convoluted meanings in these concepts and the ways they can lend meaning and depth to our lives if we can understand them fully. There is some real magic in this lecture if you dont mind a little background fuzz that comes along with these sound bites from history. Have you ever heard of the time reversal theory? Time reversal, in physics, is the mathematical operation of replacing the expression for time with its negative in formulas or equations so that they describe an event in which time runs backward or all the motions are reversed. Could we put that theory into practice in this reality? Albert Einstein believed space and time made up a fourth dimension, these things add an invisible layer to our reality that seem to seed a conscious organization upon everything. But what if we could zoom out and remove that layer? we would find a singularity, everything everywhere happening all at once? What if time could be manipulated or even reversed? What if calculating and identifying the variabilities was all the math you needed to effect the past? What is reality if our specific reference for it can be altered and manipulated?
