They give a rucap on what went down on the mainstage of episode 7 of Drag Race All Stars season 7, The All Winners Season. Ashley still has little to no experience with Drag Race we think she's fallen in love with the show.

Continuing our History of Drag mini series this week we have an exploration of just a few of the many incredible drag pageants that have existed in the United States over the years, and how they came to be! As always, we are never able to cover everything in our explorations, so if you would like to share any knowledge with us, please let us know by emailing thedragchroniclespodcast@gmail.com or if you're on Spotify use the Q&A or voice message feature below! Also, this week, we talk about Blu Hydrangea's win on UK vs The World, and a drag movie parody casting of the original Scream! Toke up and kiki with us on this week's episode! Check out The Creepshow Chronicles, our sister podcast too!
We're here for Part II of our mini-series on the History of Drag, and this one is all about the long and decorated history of ballroom culture originating out of Harlem and New York, and spread all over the world. We take a deep dive into all the information we can find, but of course if we miss anything, get anything incorrect, or offend anyone, please contact us and let us know, and hold us accountable! Links to the information used in this podcast will be in our linktr.ee! Also this week, join us for another Drag Pop Quiz AND our Hometown Queen Spotlight this week, Kenzie Coulee out of Chicago! Follow her on Twitter or Insta @kenziecoulee, find her Venmo there too and tip this queen! Cy-Fridays at Hydrate! Next week on The Drag Chronicles, we are continuing with Part III of our History of Drag where we're talking about the pageant system in the USA.
Welcome to our journey through the History of Drag, starting with our exploration of the story of William Dorsey Swann! As far as we can find in our research, Swann is the earliest recorded person to refer to themselves as "queen of drag." This is the story of a formerly enslaved person who became one of the first people in recorded history to stand up for queer rights. This story was only brought to light fairly recently thanks to the hard work of award-winning journalist and writer Channing Gerard Joseph (channingjoseph.com, @cgjoseph), where much of the information we use in this episode comes from. Complete sources will be listed below! We want as many people to know about this information as possible because of how important we feel it is, and we want to thank Channing Joseph, Peppermint & PBS, and all of the incredible people who have worked on this fascinating piece of Queer and Black history. Also on this episode, our first Drag Pop Quiz segment, and our Hometown Queen Spotlight for this week, Ceduxion Carrington! Find her on Facebook and show her all the love! Next week, we explore the history of ballroom! Sources for this episode can be found on our linktree: https://linktr.ee/TheDragChroniclesPodcast
We start out this episode talking about UK vs the World a little bit, and our Hometown Queen Spotlight, Mahogany Knight (follow and support her on Facebook!) Then, we discuss our main topic about our trip to see the RuPaul's Drag Race: Battle of the Seasons tour performance at The Pageant in St. Louis (@thepageantstl) in 2016, meeting the queens after the show, and going to the after-party hosted by Willam Belli (@willam). Plus, get ready to get witchy as we fan cast our dream drag parody of The Craft! Starting this week, the Drag Race Lap segment that is normally attached to our regular episodes will now be its own show, coming out every Thursday! The Drag Race Lap for Episode 4 of Season 14 will come out this Thursday 2/17/22, Episode 5 & 6 combined on 2/24/22, and Episode 7 & 8 on 3/3/22. That way, once we are caught up you can get a refresher on what happened on last week's episode the night before the new episode of Drag Race premieres! Because of this, for the next two weeks, we will be taking a short hiatus from regular Monday episodes of The Drag Chronicles. New episodes of The Drag Chronicles will continue on Mondays starting 3/7/22 with our 5-Part Mini-Series on The History of Drag!
On this episode, we begin by quickly sharing a performance opportunity for drag artists we just discovered called The Big Drag Bus out of Nashville, TN. Our main topic discusses the toxic fandom of Drag Race, toxicity in queer spaces, and discuss how to more positively approach being a fan of drag, and artists in general. Plus, a fan casting of Bring It On, our Drag Race Lap for Episode 3 of Season 14, and our first Hometown Queen Spotlight, Aura Mayari! Shoutouts this episode: Aura Mayari (Twitter/Insta/TikTok @auramayari) Jaime French (Youtube/Twitter @jaimepantss) The Big Drag Bus (bigdragbus.com)
Note: When we recorded this episode, it was around the middle of January and since then, the "Don't Say Gay" bill has been an important topic in the LGTBQIA+ community. We felt that it was prudent to talk about this topic now, when it needs the most attention. So, this episode will begin with a discussion of this bill. This week on The Drag Chronicles: Gia Gunn is at it again! We talk about her latest tweets that have caused quite a stir in the Drag Race community. Our main topic this week has us discussing all of our favorite movies that feature drag in some shape or form! Plus, a new segment where we dream up a drag parody of Mean Girls, and fan cast our favorite queens in all the prominent roles. Also, join us for our Drag Race Lap, where we discuss Episode 2 of RuPaul's Drag Race Season 14.
Our first episode! Get to know Sam, Preston, and Roy as we talk about what got us into drag in the first place. We talk about our favorite live performances (Drag Race and not), and bond over our love of To Wong Foo. The Drag Race Lap this week features Season 14, Episode 1 and we recap our favorites and least favorites of the episode. Follow us on social media @thedragchroniclespodcast to get the latest updates about The Drag Chronicles! Next week: Drag in Movies and TV, fan casting Mean Girls, and the Drag Race Lap for Episode 2 of Season 14!

We're sorry it's been so long, between Preston and Roy doing a show and Sam running their other podcast it has been quite the shit show. We are back!
On today's episode of The Drag Race Lap, Preston and Roy are back to kiki with Sam about episode 3 of All Stars season 7; The All Winners Season.
Since this episode did mention a very tough topic I wanted to give you some information to help Ukraine. I found a couple lists of charities geared to help those in need. We will have those links in the show notes.

It's the season that never ends, but now it does. This is our "Season 1 Finale" of the Drag Race Lap here at The Drag Chronicles, and we're very excited that we got to share our journey through Season 14 with all of you! This episode is a bit longer because we have covered both the Reunion and the Grand Finale in this episode, as they're pretty closely related anyways. Thanks so much for joining us through this whole season, we've had a lot of fun needlessly sharing our opinions about a tv show with you! :) Special shoutouts this episode: Tara Rey (@tarareyfx on Insta!) for Kornbreads amazing prosthetic application!
We are so close to the finale we can taste it! Join us as we discuss the (spoiler alert!) 7th non-elimination episode in Drag Race Season 14. The queens have to write and record a verse for RuPaul's song "Catwalk" and record a music video for it! Are you #TeamEverybody like we are? Special shout-outs this episode: The Creepshow Chronicles (@thecreepshowchronicles), A Paranormal Chicks Podcast (@TheAPCPodcast), and I Think You're Gonna Like This (@likethispod).
We are 13 episodes in and there are still 7 queens! We'll see how long that lasts... This week, the queens are challenged with painting a mural (why did RuPaul look like his unofficial ornament?) and burning the house down in The Roast of Ross Matthews! Did anyone go home this week? Did they all bomb like in Snatch Game? Are the girls running out of clothes? Recap with us to find out before the Top 4 is decided tomorrow!
It's the season that never ends and we are loving it! Join us this week as we recap Moulin Ru, and this was probably one of the best Rusicals we've ever had! Did anyone go home this week? It's crazy we keep asking that question, but it continues to be relevant. If you've smoked a lot of weed since last week and forgot what happened like us, catch up here with us before The Roast of Ross Matthews comes out tomorrow! Shout outs this episode: Laura Clery (@lauraclery)
Let's get ready to rumble in the closest thing to sports these queens (and us, let's be honest) have ever experienced! It's a Lip Sync Lalaparuza Smackdown! The queens pair off (with a three way thrown in...) and lip sync until there are only 2 left up for elimination. Who triumphed? Who fell on their face? Did anyone actually go home this episode?! Ponder this episode over your favorite chronic with us!
Was this the worst Snatch Game in history? Does Willow really worship mushrooms? Deja Skye wins Snatch Game with two words? YEAH! OKAY! Join us, The Barbara Walters Chronicles for our 20/20 investigation into Snatch Game. Whodunnit?
On this episode of Drag Race Lap, the girls are hosting our favorite thing... a giant Drag Con ad! But for real, the queens turn out a pretty solid result out of the maxi challenge this week: Drag Con panels about "Menzeses." Plus, a mini challenge that has the queens looking crazier than ever before! Who goes home? Only the drag gods shall decide!
Shout-outs this episode: u/Wilbur69 on Reddit for the graphics!
