LIZZIE BORDEN PART 1

2019-09-1500:20:359

For our 48 Hours listeners, we give you the first episode of our new podcast, “My Life of Crime with Erin Moriarty.” Erin Moriarty takes you behind the scenes and reveals the story behind the story in some of the most suspenseful and heart-breaking cases she’s covered over her career as a crime journalist. Subscribe to this new podcast today!Erin Moriarty takes us to Fall River, Massachusetts, where one of the most sensational crimes of the 19th century took place. The crime inspired the dark nursery rhyme “Lizzie Borden took an axe and gave her mother 40 whacks. When she saw what she had done, she gave her father 41.” Despite what everyone thinks they know, there is a stunning verdict in the case.  In part 1 of this unusual road trip, Erin takes us to the scene of the crime - the house where the murders took place is now The Lizzie Borden Bed and Breakfast/Museum. We learn about the Borden family and what happened on that fateful day in August of 1892. It was a brutal crime scene and there are actual death photos hanging in the house.  Erin will spend the night here. She is looking for a motive, evidence and maybe a ghost or two.Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

I don't think the police should have been shooting at him while he was running into the store. You have to know there are innocent people in the store that are in the line of fire. That said, I probably would have.done the same thing.

Skylar Richardson is clearly a narcissist and a pathological liar. 3 year probation for her crime is mild but what do you expect from a liberal judicial system that allows abortions. I'm surprised this even went to court.

i feel really sorey for the young girls family. however blaming her friend for her suicide is wrong. the boy had a moeal obligation to speak up he did. but her morher, family should jave realized somyhing was off. she turned to her friend for the help she thought she needed. nut that was not the boys fault. mama, your not to blame eirher. but if you gonna point fingers. then where is your cop ability in this????

Yea, she murdered that baby! She could've been honest, she had 2 months to tell her parents, or make arrangements for an abortion. She got off too easy indeed! But on the other hand those judgemental assholes that were "protesting" her were wrong too. They didn't know what happened, and besides it's none of their goddamn business! Sad story over all 😢

Let's hope the police are successful in their pursuit of Aaron Robert Major. This is an evil, dangerous and disgusting thing that passes for a human being. Evil personified.

Her daughter is crying after her first pelvic exam and her response is that your first trip to the gynecologist is always traumatic??? Wtf is that? It may make you nervous and it may be a bit uncomfortable but TRAUMATIC? To the point of making a girl cry? This woman is an idiot.
