Inevitably we all have to deal with nosy questions we don't want to answer, and so rather than being a victim to this today I'm giving you tools to answer these awkward questions like "when are you getting married/pregnant/how much do you make" whether you want to address them head on or deflect the convo or simply get out of the convo and run away lol I have tips on all the above! @drconniewang, @justaquickpinch

Back with another Chief Complaints advice segment episode ft my husband Jimmy! Today we are helping 2 pinchers in need with 2 cases: 1. "What do you say when you're patients say they're too old for treatment, too old to save etc. and they genuinely need the treatment"2. "I always dread spending the holidays with my in-laws, every comment they make always feels like an insult" IG: @drconniewang, @justaquickpinch
ok this is the coolest research ever ... literally lol! A recent research study shows that cool is cool, no matter where you are and what language you speak. This multi-year, multi country study shows which 6 traits are unanimously the most cool - and today I spin it into a personal branding/first impressions exercise to apply to your own life and story/mission: how can you spin whatever it is that you're into, into cool? Of course there are more important things in life than being cool, BUT this research shows valuable insight into what humans deem as good/interesting and valuable, and these provide an awesome framework to work off of. In a time where the world is as "noisy" as ever, here is how you cut through the noise and stand out according to research from the book You're Invited by Jon Levy! I was fascinated with a chapter where I learned about 4 qualities that make you interesting to industry leaders, and realized these are the same things you can do to stand out to anyone you want to impress, like: - interviewing for a new job- meeting in laws/friends- buying a house - selling your own items- networking at a conference the list goes on and on - here is how you stand out in a noisy world IG: @drconniewang, @justaquickpinch
Why are you harder on some coworkers than others? Why do you keep around that friend who's been around forever but makes you feel like crap every time you're with them? Today we unpack the "grey area relationships" and learn all about trust, friendship types, and why we are the way we are - by exploring my "things I've highlighted on Kindle" from 2 books! The books of the week are: You're Invited: The Art and Science of Connection, Trust, and Belonging by Jon Levy&The Art And Science of Connection by Kasley Killam IG: @drconniewang, @justaquickpinch
My husband Jimmy joins me to give our advice for these two SPOOKY "pickle" situations that we often find ourselves in - here are the two scenarios of the day: WHAT TO DO IF: 1. you're close friend's bachelorette party is out of budget, but you feel guilty missing out because she's close and important to you 2. you got too drunk at a work event and feel embarrassed- also: how to avoid getting too drunk but also navigate social anxiety at work holiday parties, how to handle holiday parties for your partner's workplace, what to do if your coworker friend is too drunk at the party & more!IG: @justaquickpinch, @drconniewang
What if I told you everything you think about yourself and the world is a lie? That might be a lie lol, but a decent amount of us walk around seeing life through a lens thats false, or through a lens of a tired story we tell ourselves. Today I'm sharing 3 recent lessons that taught me how important it is to fact check your assumptions before they negatively impact your potential, your relationships, and your life. And I'm sharing tactics with you that help you be more mindful every day and have a more clear perspective that allows you to be your best self. IG: @drconniewang, @justaquickpinch

Sometimes the stories that shape us the most, are written by the words we never got to say. Today my friend Dr. Avi Patel (@doctor.avi IG,  ⁨@doctoravi⁩  youtube) joins me to share a story he's never gotten to share about triggers, resentment, the stories we tell ourselves about who we are and ultimately how clarity builds love and respect in friendships, even when we don't agree with each other. He shares the story of an argument that brought him to clarity and respect with a dental school friend before he tragically passed. We unpack the challenges of being the child of immigrants, finding what your authentic self looks like when you're a chameleon taught to blend in, and finding the courage to be seen for who you are.IG: @drconniewang, @justaquickpinch Podcast episodes available on youtube, apple podcast, and spotify!
the secret to being more confident/charismatic/successful is actually right in front of your eyes, but no one emphasizes the ingredients to this secret sauce!! While we all know that helping other people feel heard, validated, and seen when interacting and connecting is important, no one tells you HOW! Today I'm giving you a practice guide to 3 tools that you need in your toolkit, this will help you have better conversations, feel more successful and fulfilled at work, have better relationships outside of work, and overall unlock a new potential in your life, all from these 3 things: microvalidations, compliments, and acknowledgements!IG: @drconniewang, @justaquickpinch
Sometimes the stories that shape us the most, are written by the words we never got to say. Welcome to the Just A Quick Pinch Podcast summer series, What Was Never Said - where I interview guests about the ex mentors & bosses, previous partners, & friendships that faded, and the words they never got to say. We unpack why we avoid these hard conversations, what they say about us, and what we learn from the things we never got to say. Today I'm sharing my story of a really hard experience that became a great lesson during dental school. This is a story about building your confidence and holding your head high, pushing through self doubt, and learning the importance of clear communication. There's probably going to be someone out there complaining that this isn't bullying but again, this is my side of the story lmao IG: @drconniewang, @justaquickpinch
