Today, my worlds are colliding. I am SO excited to share that I am sitting down with debut romance author and former ABC's Bachelorette, Hannah Brown, to discuss her upcoming book "Mistakes We Never Made". Prior to joining Bookstagram, I was all about creating online content revolving around ABC's The Bachelor, The Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise -- so what a treat it was to be pitched an opportunity to sit down with one of my favourite leads ever - Miss Hannah B!!!! Hannah's autobiography "God Bless This Mess" was one of the earlier books I reviewed on my page, so I was so thrilled to get to chat with her all about her experience writing a fictional romance novel. We of course chatted all about her time on reality TV, the characters she met and the experiences she lived through - which all then played a major hand and somewhat of an inspiration to the characters, tropes, and plot lines in this book! This was SUCH a fun episode to record, and I can't wait for you to all listen to it! Since the book releases next month (May 7), this episode is completely spoiler free and the best prequel for pre-ordering your own copy right now! ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡About Get Lit With Lianna: The PodcastJoin Instagram book content creator @getlitwithlianna as she sits down with a different guest author to chat about their books, writing career, and everything in between! Today I'm sitting down with author Kelley McNeil to chat about her latest release, "MAYLUNA". This book has been taking over my social media feed for weeks, so I knew I had to reach out to Kelley to chat with her! If you're someone who is a fan of music love stories, particularly The Idea Of You, Daisy Jones and the Six or Almost Famous... this book is for YOU!We didn't go too deep into the story with this one, because it's best to go into the book blind! But what a fun conversation! ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡About Get Lit With Lianna: The PodcastJoin Instagram book content creator @getlitwithlianna as she sits down with a different guest author to chat about their books, writing career, and everything in between! Today I'm joined once again by romance author extraordinaire, Tia Williams, to chat about her newest book, "A Love Song For Ricki Wilde". Tia has been one of my favourite romance writers for a few years now, so I am so excited to have her back on the show to chat about her newest book. Since we last connected, Tia's writing career has continued to blossom. Her book "The Perfect Find" was turned into a Netflix film, her other novel "Seven Days In June" is currently being adapted into a TV series where Tia serves as an Executive Producer, and she managed to write this latest novel in the shortest amount of time!! This was such a fun conversation. I loved getting to chat with Tia about what she's been up to, and really dive into the inspiration behind this story, the research that went into it, and all of the characters - without any spoilers! ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡About Get Lit With Lianna: The PodcastJoin Instagram book content creator @getlitwithlianna as she sits down with a different guest author to chat about their books, writing career, and everything in between! DID YA MISS ME?! Today I'm joined by screenwriter-turned-romance author Alison Rose Greenberg, to chat about her latest book "Maybe Once, Maybe Twice". Alison's book is my favourite read of 2023, and upon reading it I immediately knew I had to come out of my winter hibernation, and record this very special episode for all of you! We spoke in depth about Alison's writing background, the inspiration behind this story in particular, how she managed to write a love story in THREE different timelines, some of the really tough but important plot lines included, AND THAT ENDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!This was such an incredible episode to record, as I learned so much from Alison's POV and *somehow* fell even more in love with these characters (didn't know that was possible!!) Speaking of these characters, you will definitely want to listen to the end of this episode as there may or may not be a MAJOR teaser on Alison's upcoming book about a character you may want to hear from..... Thank you to each and every listener for an incredible 2023! My plan is to be back in Spring 2024 with more regular podcast episodes. That being said... you may hear from me sooner ;) ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡About Get Lit With Lianna: The PodcastJoin Instagram book content creator @getlitwithlianna as she sits down with a different guest author to chat about their books, writing career, and everything in between! Today I'm joined by debut romance author Kate Goldbeck, to chat about her new book "You Again". I was so excited to chat with Kate after reading her book - since it reminded me so much of one of my fave romcoms "When Harry Met Sally". I was in for such a treat as to where this conversation would go!! From learning about Kate's writing background, to all of the personal anecdotes and learnings she put into this story - it was such an interesting conversation. I loved all of the representation in this book and it was so nice to dive deep into the inspiration and intention behind them with Kate. ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡About Get Lit With Lianna: The PodcastJoin Instagram book content creator @getlitwithlianna as she sits down with a different guest author to chat about their books, writing career, and everything in between! Today I'm  joined by romance author Lindsey Kelk, to chat about her latest release "Love Me Do". I was so excited to have Lindsey on the show since she has written so many iconic romcoms throughout her career. This chat was such a pleasant surprise! I learned so much about the trajectory of her career, what it's like to adapt a novel into a screenplay (yes, there are some very exciting projects in the works here!) and then of course all about her latest release and the inspiration behind its plot line and captivating characters. Enjoy!!♡ ♡ ♡ ♡About Get Lit With Lianna: The PodcastJoin Instagram book content creator @getlitwithlianna as she sits down with a different guest author to chat about their books, writing career, and everything in between! Today I'm  joined by bestselling romance author, Jean Meltzer, to talk about her latest release "Kissing Kosher". I've been a fan of Jean's writing since her debut romance book, "The Matzah Ball", was published a few years ago. She is one of the first Jewish romance authors I really resonated with, and it's been such a pleasure watching her career flourish! In this episode we chat about the beginning of Jean's career (who knew she moved to Israel and went to Rabbinical school.... after being nominated for a Daytime Emmy for a career in TV writing?!), what is going on with the movie adaptation of "The Matzah Ball" (and all the epic stars currently attached!!), and of course the genesis of her latest book and the most important key themes surrounding chronic illness and intimacy. I LOVED this conversation, and know you will too! I was grinning from ear-to-ear while recording it, and hope you feel the same while listening! ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡About Get Lit With Lianna: The PodcastJoin Instagram book content creator @getlitwithlianna as she sits down with a different guest author to chat about their books, writing career, and everything in between! Today I'm sitting down with my newest BFF, romance author Timothy Janovsky, whose latest romcom "New Adult" is available everywhere today! It was SO MUCH FUN getting to know Timothy - and we really hit it off! I loved getting to chat with him about the genesis of his career, the inspo behind his newest book (calling all "13 Going On 30" movie fans!), how the heck he managed to write such a magical story with a time jump, his take on love scenes and intimacy in romance novels, and of course what he's working on next (y'all aint readyyyy!) It truly felt like I was making a new friend as we dove deeper into this convo (which was certainly the case!) so I hope you all adore this episode as much as I loved recording it! ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡About Get Lit With Lianna: The PodcastJoin Instagram book content creator @getlitwithlianna as she sits down with a different guest author to chat about their books, writing career, and everything in between! Today I'm joined by bestselling author, film producer and creator behind the internationally beloved romance series "After", Anna Todd! I have been such a fan of Anna's for nearly a decade. Her series, "After", started on Wattpad as a fan fiction story starring Harry Styles and the rest of One Direction. The online story took off with over 1 million readers and downloads, leading to a published book series and cult-favourite movie franchise! I loved getting to chat with Anna about the trajectory of her career, her involvement in the "After" movies (the final installation will be released next month!) and of course her latest book "The Burning". What a treat getting to chat with an author I've admired for so long! I hope you will love listening to this episode just as much I loved recording it!♡ ♡ ♡ ♡About Get Lit With Lianna: The PodcastJoin Instagram book content creator @getlitwithlianna as she sits down with a different guest author to chat about their books, writing career, and everything in between! Today I'm joined by debut romance author, Regina Black, to chat about her new romance "The Art of Scandal". This is one of my favourite books of the year - so I couldn't WAIT to chat with Regina about her spectacular debut! For fans of Robinne Lee, Tia Williams, Kennedy Ryan and beyond... you will all be OBSESSED with Regina's book! The story read like a Shonda Rhimes drama - and I think that's one of the reasons I loved it. Regina and I chatted about the intentional trope use in this novel (and how she played with them vs. how they are conventionally used), her intentions with creating flawed characters, the trajectory of this story - and so so so much more. This is a powerful love story that you should all read! We got to chatting about her latest adult romance book, and it couldn't have been a more interesting and informative episode. We chatted about the importance (and lack of!) of sex education amongst today's youth, flipping traditional romance tropes on their heads, the value in showing varied mental health experiences in romance novels, and so much more. Rachel is always a delight to have on my show, and I'm sure you will all love this episode as much as I did!♡ ♡ ♡ ♡About Get Lit With Lianna: The PodcastJoin Instagram book content creator @getlitwithlianna as she sits down with a different guest author to chat about their books, writing career, and everything in between! Today I'm joined by debut author, Kara Alloway, to chat about her new book "Most Hated". You may recognize Kara as the "villain" on The Real Housewives of Toronto, but let me assure you - Kara is anything but!! I was in for the surprise of my lifetime with this conversation. I really had no idea where this talk would take us, but MAN what a journey! I learned so much about Kara's professional background, and how the opportunity to be a reality TV star crossed her desk. More importantly than all the crazy BTS stories she shares (and there's A LOT!) I loved getting into the main themes of this book and chatting about the importance behind female friendships and feminism. Kara's book is a light-beach read that has something for everyone! Today I'm joined by romance author Bridget Morrissey, who wrote the new LGBTQ romance, "That Summer Feeling"! I was definitely skeptical when picking up this book, because I heard the main trope used was Insta Love, which sometimes is really hard to nail. Bridget did such an amazing job at executing a difficult trope, by setting this romance in an adult-only summer camp, and having it be a real story of self discovery. I loved chatting with Bridget about the themes of this book, how the story came to her, and why she thinks it's so important for readers to indulge in this type of book right now. ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡About Get Lit With Lianna: The PodcastJoin Instagram book content creator @getlitwithlianna as she sits down with a different guest author to chat about their books, writing career, and everything in between!
