What do you do when God calls you in one direction, but everything in you wants to run the other way? In this message, we explore the story of Jonah and the storm that followed his attempt to flee from God’s calling. Through Jonah’s struggle, we discover that God is not only the One who calms the storms around us, but also the One who confronts the storms within us calling us away from fear, comfort and control, and towards surrender. This message explores the challenging truth that surrender often comes before salvation, and invites us to consider where God may be calling us to change direction and trust Him fully.
In this message, we explore the difference between wisdom and foolishness through the lens of Psalm 107:17–22 and Jesus’ teaching in Matthew 7:24–27. Our choices shape our stories, and true wisdom is ultimately found in listening to Jesus and putting his words into practice. But the good news is that even when our foolish choices lead to painful consequences, God does not reject or condemn us when we cry out to him—he hears, rescues and heals. As those who have experienced God’s grace, we are invited to tell our stories and give thanks for what he has done.
In John 21, Jesus meets Peter on the shores of the Sea of Galilee and gently leads him back into the painful memories of his denial. Through the familiar place, the smell of a charcoal fire, and three simple questions—“Do you love me?”—Jesus doesn’t shame Peter; He rewrites his story with forgiveness, restoration and healing. This message explores how Jesus still meets us in the wounds and failures of our own stories, reminding us that before we did anything for Him, He knew us, saw us and loved us. And as He restores us, He invites us into a bigger story: to join Him in bringing His healing and redemption to others.
This message explores the relationship between Jesus and John looking at the last verses from the gospel he wrote. After a guest appearance from the man himself, Andrew Mayne explores the relationship between three men - Jesus, John, and Peter and helps us to understand the dangers of comparison. To invitation to us from Jesus is simply, 'Follow me.'
In this message from John 20, we explore the story of Thomas and what it means to follow Jesus in the midst of doubt. Rather than pushing us away, Jesus meets us with grace, peace and an invitation to encounter Him more deeply. As our doubts are transformed into faith, we discover the assurance of God’s love and presence, learn to make room for the Holy Spirit in every part of our lives, and are reminded that our encounters with Jesus are not just for us—they become a testimony that can point others to the risen Christ.
