I talk allllll about why having self-discipline is 100000x more important than "being motivated" in your life and give you a lot of GOLDEN knowledge to consider.... If we were to simply act when we were "motivated," we would rarely do it. Motivation wavers from time to time, but discipline is doing what you don't want to do when you don't want to do it. Discipline is what will get you to those goals of yours, not motivation. Luckily, if you don't have self-discipline, it is like a muscle and we CAN develop it with practice.
In this episode, I explain why most people give up and can't seem to "stick with" the journey required to get them to their end goal. The truth is, most people give up in their fitness journey, starting a business, and their healing journeys when things get challenging, and we ALL do it. WE DO! So I ask you to think about this... what would happen if you stuck with it and didn't give up, even when every single bone in your body says to?
In this episode, I dive into some of the symptoms I personally experienced and that some of my clients have experienced when not fueling properly or eating enough! I also give you tangible tips about what to do to get out of this so you can THRIVE!
In this podcast, I break down the science of why we gain back weight rapidly after a period of weight loss, why we feel so hungry and not satisfied after eating, why "extreme hunger" happens in ed recovery, and what to do to create a healthy, happy and balanced lifestyle instead of dieting.
In this episode, I talk all about how you're being brainwashed negatively by the news, social media, and the people around you. I talk about how I brainwashed myself into becoming a completely different person who is conditioned to focusing on the good and expressing gratitude for their life, which has made me a happier person! I give you the secrets for how you can too!
In this very informal, sit down, chat-style episode, I talk about how my workouts and training style will be changing, how I have been honestly sick and tired of boring hypertrophy workouts, how I'm getting back to my roots and training like an athlete, and finally, how my life has been changing a lot recently after recovering from my eating disorder.
In this episode, I talk about why I changed the name and slightly modified the direction I will be taking the podcast... I talk about labelling myself as a "recovery account", my desire to help as many people as possible through this podcast, and how working on my mindset has completely transformed my life (and how it can transform yours too!)
What FINALLY made me "go all in" for the LAST TIME to better my relationship with food, exercise and my body? In this episode, I explain some of the key mental shifts I made as well as some of the actions I took in order to do so.
Feeling like a food addict? Thinking about food all the time, 24/7? That's a sign that you relationship with food might not be healthy! In this episode, Madi talks about mental hunger, food restriction, and why you might be feeling obsessed around food.
Let's be honest... we all make excuses and blame other people, our situation, our environment, etc. etc. in our lives sometimes. In this episode, I help you start to become more self aware of your thoughts, understand the story you've been telling yourself, and teach you how to stop this endless cycle!
I tell you all about what to expect from the podcast in the future, introduce myself, and share a little about my background with disordered eating, body image struggles, and recovering from an ED.
