We recognize that it's been a tough time for LGBTQ+ sports fans and players, but our podcast will always remain a safe space for anyone and everyone. HAPPY 'YOFFS, Y'ALL! The girlies are fired up and ready for two straight months of no sleep as we prepare to root for our teams during the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Well, everyone except Ali. LGRW. We're so excited to welcome Madison Aubé-Kubel onto the show. Maddie, who you might know from her amazing TikToks and iconic WAG jackets, is the wife of Capitals player Nicolas Aubé-Kubel, aka the guy who dropped the Stanley Cup. Maddie offers an interesting insight into what life is like as a WAG, including how she's dealt with moving four times in the past two years. We also got to learn about how she started making her WAG jackets, laugh at some silly stories about her dogs, and a learn couple good lessons about embracing change. Our friend Allison Hill is back to discuss mental health representation in the world of sports! The girlies chat about how so many athletes struggle with mental health issues yet so few speak up about it, and that the best way we can work to destigmatize it is through three words: TALK ABOUT IT. We also look at mental health and sports through the lens of a fan, talking about hyperfixations and how social media users need to "let people enjoy things."
