In this episode I’m joined by Nigel Beach and we explore how much our environment shapes our mental state. We often try to think our way into feeling better, but our nervous system responds first to what we sense. Light, temperature, hydration, and contact with nature all send signals to the body about whether we are safe or under threat. When we change those inputs, our state naturally follows. This conversation is full of simple, practical ideas you can apply straight away at home. Nothing extreme, just small adjustments that help your body spend more time calm, clear and present. We talk about hydration and how H2O affects energy and mood, why modern lighting can keep the brain alert at the wrong times, and how sauna and cold exposure build resilience rather than stress. We also dive into grounding and why reconnecting to natural signals helps regulate the nervous system. The big message from this episode is that regulation is not only a mindset practice. It is something we can design into our daily life.In this episode we cover: • What nervous system regulation actually feels like day to day • How your home can either support recovery or keep you wired • The impact of hydration on focus, mood and energy • Lighting habits that improve sleep and recovery • Sauna and cold exposure as resilience training for the body • Grounding and reconnecting to nature • Small environmental changes that create lasting calmIf you enjoy this episode, share it with someone who would benefit and let us know your biggest takeaway 💛Follow NigelINSTAGRAMSend @thegoodhumanfactory a DM on Instagram saying "I wanna join the club" to join our FREE mindfulness and gratitude accountability community :)1% Good Club Book!!The Good Human FactoryAmazonBooktopiaCooper's SocialsInstagramTikTokThe Good Human Factory LinksInstagramWebsiteMerch – Use code PODCAST for 25% OFFWorkshop EnquiryTHE GOOD HUMAN FACTORY™️ 2020 Hosted on Acast. In this episode, I share something a little different and a lot of fun.Our 1% Good Club community recently came together to share their favourite restaurants, cafes, and local spots to try, and it turned into a reminder of why community matters so much.It is a gentle reminder that being a good human is not always about doing more. Sometimes it is about sharing a great meal, trying somewhere new, and feeling connected to the people around you.As always, this episode is inspired by messages from our community and built around the idea that small moments, done consistently, can make a big difference.Send @thegoodhumanfactory a DM on Instagram saying "I wanna join the club" to join our FREE mindfulness and gratitude accountability community :)1% Good Club Book!!The Good Human FactoryAmazonBooktopiaCooper's LinksInstagramTikTokLinkedInYouTubeThe Good Human Factory LinksInstagramWebsiteMerch – Use code PODCAST for 25% OFFWorkshop EnquiryTHE GOOD HUMAN FACTORY™️ 2020 Hosted on Acast. In this episode, I sit down with Dr Steven Lu, a former cardiac surgeon turned preventative health pioneer and the founder of Everlab.Steven shares his journey through medicine, from operating in high-pressure ICU and surgical environments to asking a deeper question: why are we waiting until people are critically unwell before intervening? After years of treating heart disease at its most advanced stages, he realised the system was built around reacting to illness rather than preventing it.We unpack the philosophy behind Everlab and why prevention, early detection, and personalised health data are the future of healthcare. Steven explains how understanding your biomarkers, lifestyle, and risk factors can help you take ownership of your health long before symptoms appear. This conversation also dives into simple, practical health habits anyone can start today, from movement and nutrition to sleep, stress, and consistency over perfection. It is a powerful reminder that small daily choices can dramatically change long-term outcomes. If you have ever felt confused, overwhelmed, or reactive about your health, this episode will help you reframe the way you think about wellbeing and empower you to take action earlier rather than later. In this episode we cover:Steven’s journey from cardiac surgery to preventative medicineWhy the healthcare system is reactive by designThe moment that inspired him to start EverlabThe importance of early testing and personalised health dataSimple daily habits that reduce long-term disease riskWhy prevention is not about perfection, but consistencyHow to think long-term about your health and energyThis episode is about taking responsibility for your health, one decision at a time, before crisis forces the conversation.Follow Dr Steven/EverlabINSTAGRAMSend @thegoodhumanfactory a DM on Instagram saying "I wanna join the club" to join our FREE mindfulness and gratitude accountability community :)1% Good Club Book!!The Good Human FactoryAmazonBooktopiaCooper's SocialsInstagramTikTokThe Good Human Factory LinksInstagramWebsiteMerch – Use code PODCAST for 25% OFFWorkshop EnquiryTHE GOOD HUMAN FACTORY™️ 2020 Hosted on Acast. In this powerful and deeply honest conversation, I sit down with Australian professional tennis player Thomas Fancutt for his very first interview since serving a 10 month anti doping ban that turned his world upside down.Thomas opens up about the moment everything changed. A simple IV drip that he believed was allowed became a career altering mistake, leading to a ban that shocked him, his team, and the tennis world. We talk about what it was really like to have his career paused overnight, the emotional toll of being labelled, judged, and misunderstood, and the mental battle of staying motivated when the sport you love is suddenly taken away.Thomas shares the behind the scenes reality of the ban, the shame and frustration he carried, and how he worked through anger, fear, and uncertainty about his future. Most importantly, we dive into the comeback. How this experience reshaped his mindset, strengthened his resilience, and gave him a new perspective on purpose, pressure, and identity beyond sport. This episode is about mistakes, accountability, and what it really takes to rebuild when your life takes an unexpected turn.If you have ever faced a setback that felt unfair, overwhelming, or completely out of your control, this conversation will hit home.In this episode, we cover:Thomas’s tennis journey and rise in the professional ranksThe IV drip incident and how a misunderstanding led to a 10 month banThe emotional impact of having his career put on holdDealing with public judgement and internal doubtHow he stayed mentally strong during the toughest period of his lifeWhat this experience taught him about identity, resilience, and perspectiveHis mindset heading into his comeback and what drives him nowThis is a raw, real, and inspiring conversation about turning one of the hardest moments of your life into fuel for your next chapter.Follow ThomasINSTAGRAM Send @thegoodhumanfactory a DM on Instagram saying "I wanna join the club" to join our FREE mindfulness and gratitude accountability community :)1% Good Club Book!!The Good Human FactoryAmazonBooktopiaCooper's SocialsInstagramTikTokThe Good Human Factory LinksInstagramWebsiteMerch – Use code PODCAST for 25% OFFWorkshop EnquiryTHE GOOD HUMAN FACTORY™️ 2020 Hosted on Acast. Welcome to the first episode of the Good Humans Podcast for 2026.I wanted to start this year with something powerful, practical, and a little different. That is why I invited Ole Hill, who is widely regarded as Australia’s leading hypnotist, onto the show.In this episode, Ole and I dive into how hypnosis actually works, why so many of us struggle to follow through on our New Year’s resolutions, and how our subconscious mind plays a much bigger role in our behaviour than most people realise. What makes this episode really special is that Ole guides us through a live hypnosis session during the conversation. This was designed to help you connect with your goals for 2026, let go of mental blocks, and set clear intentions for the year ahead. It is something you can come back to anytime you need a reset. For me, this episode is about more than motivation. It is about creating real change by working with your mind rather than against it. If you are stepping into 2026 wanting more clarity, confidence, or alignment with your goals, this episode is a great place to start. In this episode, we talk about:What hypnosis really is and what it is notWhy New Year’s resolutions often failHow the subconscious mind influences habits and decision makingThe role of focus, suggestion, and awareness in personal growthA live guided hypnosis session to support your 2026 goalsStarting the year with intention rather than pressureA quick note before you listenIf you can, listen to this episode somewhere quiet, especially for the hypnosis section. Sitting or lying down comfortably and giving yourself permission to slow down will help you get the most out of it. - Please don't do the hypnosis while driving. Thanks for being here and for kicking off 2026 with me. I hope this episode helps you feel clear, grounded, and excited for the year ahead.FOLLOW OLEINSTAGRAM - www.instagram.com/summithypnotismSend @thegoodhumanfactory a DM on Instagram saying "I wanna join the club" to join our FREE mindfulness and gratitude accountability community :)1% Good Club Book!!The Good Human FactoryAmazonBooktopiaCooper's SocialsInstagramTikTokThe Good Human Factory LinksInstagramWebsiteMerch – Use code PODCAST for 25% OFFWorkshop EnquiryTHE GOOD HUMAN FACTORY™️ 2020 Hosted on Acast. I would choose a better word than allowed. allowed is not the word that defines it. but you scaffolded and helped them develop and grow and made them believe in what they are doing and in themselves. your children would not be that way unless you instilled that and encouraged their growth. .... they wouldn't even be here if it wasn't for you and your wife. thank you for all of them . they are great people and I listen to all there podcasts

I work in early childhood education, and as long as children feel safe secure and supported you can allow them to grow. you and alison (sorry for spelling that wrong) are a reflection of that. your not perfect parents, there is no such thing but your humility and allowance of your children's interests and growth is. your children are amazing but they are only as amazing as you have allowed them to be. you shaped there beliefs and values and who they are. how great that must feel! your allowance

wow, thank you, dave. I have followed coopers podcast for a while! I am so glad you came on the podcast. They are not privileged but lucky to have such amazing parents. Not everyone is. To give your children all the oppurtunities, autonomy, and trust, shows in how they developed and grew. Children thrive off of these things and there are so many who do not ever feel this.
