Description

There's good news for anyone that is confused by men, which is basically everyone ---- the 'How Men Think' podcast has returned!
'How Men Think' was always about helping women understand the things that men do and say, that just don't make sense to us. Since the beginning, the mission has been the same...a constant search for answers to your questions about relationships, dating, marriage, divorce, breakups, hookups, love, sex, family, fatherhood, and why men do -- the things men do!
Now, with the addition of Executive Producer Paris Hilton at the helm...there won't be any sugar-coating, no beating around the bush...and best of all, absolutely NO mansplaining! The new and improved HMT podcast will deliver the cold, hard, ugly truth to women -- because like it or not...we need to hear it.
But as much as we like to think all men are the same, they're actually very different -- (Frustrating isn't it?!) That's why, each week a celebrity guest-host will take over the show and give honest advice in his area of expertise. And best of all, we're cutting out the middleman and opening up the phone lines -- directly to you!
Ladies, this podcast has everything you need to better understand men....because let's face it, they're too confusing to figure out on our own.

What a helluva day in court! The defense attorney for accused double murderer Brendan Banfield scored major points today, calling two forensic digital experts with the Fairfax Police Department up to the stand who refuted the state’s catfishing theory. The two testified Brendan’s wife Christine had control of her devices, making it impossible for Brendan or the au pair to have created the online fetish profile that led to the murders. Later this afternoon, we are also expecting the biggest bombshell of this trial: Brendan Banfield will testify in his own defense.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Former Uvalde police officer Adrian Gonzales is speaking out for the first time since a Texas jury found him not guilty on 29 counts of child endangerment. Gonzales became emotional as he described how he simply followed orders and did the best he could with the information he had. He also talks about what his life is like now and why he’s gearing up for “the second battle.”See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

You've probably seen the promos on Netflix:  superstar climber Alex Honnold will attempt to climb one of the tallest buildings in the world TONIGHT.  Live.  No ropes.  Netflix will air it on a 10-second delay, but that doesn't fully cover all of safety and ethical concerns for what Honnold is doing.  Honnold -- considered one of the best climbers in the world -- shot to fame with the Oscar-winning documentary "Free Solo," which documented his no-ropes climb up Yosemite's Dawn Wall.  He's the only person to ever free solo the Dawn Wall, considered the holy grail of climbing. Tonight's broadcast comes with controversy and criticism, especially now that Honnold is a husband and father of two young girls. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
The defense attorney for Brendon Banfield made some significant headway this afternoon,  questioning if investigators came up with their catfishing theory first, and then tried to make the evidence fit later.  Banfield is charged with murdering his wife, and a stranger they say he catfished to his home to frame for her murder, along side his au pair and mistress. Also coming out in court today, it may have been Brendan Banfield’s 4 year old daughter who led investigators to their  theory.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Amy and T.J. get you caught up on the latest in the salacious BDSM murder trial where prosecutors say Brendan Banfield conspired with his au pair/lover to kill his wife and pin her murder on a stranger.  The defense began its case on Wednesday with a much anticipated digital forensics officer who was reassigned from the case. As the defense tries to poke holes in the prosecution’s narrative, the state has been extremely effective in knocking down any suggestion that Banfield wasn’t the mastermind behind the double murder.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

After 7 hours of deliberating, a Texas jury finds former Uvalde police officer Adrian Gonzales not guilty of 29 counts of child endangerment.  It was an emotional 2 weeks of testimony,  many victims’ families traveling hundreds of miles, looking for justice after officers waited 77 minutes to confront the gunman who killed 19 students and 2 teachers at Robb Elementary School nearly 4 years ago.   Officer Gonzales arrived before the gunman entered the school and waited for backup as hundreds of shots rang out inside the school.  See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Criminal defense attorney Alison Triessl has been closely following the Brendan Banfield BDSM trial for the past two weeks. Triessl relies on her 3 decades of trial experience to talk about the prosecution’s case and what the defense needs to do to overcome the damning testimony of the au pair. If the jury believes her testimony, Triessl believes it will be an impossible road for the defense, but they have a potential ace up their sleeve, and it involves a Fairfax County police detective.   See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Amy and T.J. get you updated on one of the most salacious murder trials in recent history. A former IRS agent, Brendan Banfield is fighting for his freedom, charged with a double homicide for the murders of his wife, Christine and a stranger prosecutors say Banfield, along with the help of his au pair turned lover, lured to his home to set up for his wife’s death. The prosecution’s case against Banfield rests primarily on the testimony of the au pair, Juliana Peres Magalhães, who told jurors about their plan to “get rid of” Christine and pin the murder on Joseph Ryan, a man who believed he was coming to the Banfield home to participate in a BDSM sexual fantasy. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
President Trump announced he has reached an agreement with NATO over a Greenland deal. Trump wouldn’t get into the details, saying only that the “solution will be a great one for the United States” and that he’s dropping the tariffs scheduled for next month.  Meantime, press secretary Karoline Leavitt denied to reporters that Trump accidentally referred to Greenland as Iceland multiple times in his speech earlier in the day, despite the fact that President Trump ABSOLUTELY said Iceland.  We all heard it. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
President Trump spent more than an hour on the international stage in Davos at the World Economic Forum to brag about American strength and throw shade at “stupid” “weak” European countries.  While the big headline is that Trump acknowledged for the first time America will NOT use force to acquire Greenland, the other major headline was that “people will SOON be prosecuted for what they did” in what Trump calls the “rigged” 2020 election.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

As of this recording, President Trump is on his way to Davos, Switzerland for the World Economic Forum, three hours behind schedule.  Air Force One had to turn around 45 minutes into its flight because of an electrical issue with the plane.   With the President’s major speech set for 8:30am ET, last night’s detour may push back the schedule for today.   Amy and T.J. discuss exactly what happened, and why this plays right into the recent controversy over that Qatari jet gifted to Trump by the royal family…. A plane Trump has said will be ready to fly as Air Force One, next month.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
It’s week 2 of the trial against Paul Caneiro, accused of brutally killing his brother Keith, his wife and their two young children back in 2018.  Criminal defense attorney Alison Triessl has been following the trial closely and talks with Amy and T.J. about the prosecution’s overwhelming case so far and what she thinks of the defense’s “the third brother did it” theory.  Hear who Triessl believes has to take the stand for the defense, in order for Caneiro to even have a shot at freedom.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Actor Timothy Busfield has just learned he's getting out of jail.  A New Mexico judge denied the prosecution's motion to keep Busfield behind bars, pending trail.  Busfield has been accused of improperly touching two boys on the set of a show. Amy and T. J. watched every emotional and fascinating moment of the just-wrapped hearing that left Busfield's wife, Melissa Gilbert, in tears. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
26-year-old Brooklyn Beckham - the oldest of David and Victoria Beckham’s 4 children - has put up a damning narrative of his family, describing them as controlling and manipulative. Brooklyn writes about how his family has tried to break up his relationship with his wife Nicola, and goes into great detail about how they ruined his wedding, specifically his “mum” Victoria. And while this is only Brooklyn’s side of the story, his father David was on live television this morning and made a reference to his children and social media, saying sometimes you “have to let them make mistakes.”See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

why go to Idaho where it's isolating and leave LA where there's people everywhere? during a pandemic? when we're supposed to be staying away from people? seems like the only logic option if you have the option..

Facts Don't Care About Your Feelings

Not half bad, but I have mixed feelings about this podcast. It does have some entertainment value, but it also embodies a multitude of negative stereotypes about men. Laughing about laying around watching porn, their wives yelling at them because they don't even bother to wash their hair, one of the guys doesn't even use freaking deodorant, another his wife said he smelled bad, none of them seem to be particularly intelligent (guy didn't know what "epitome" meant...), and dropping pretty lame jokes. I hope women don't listen to this and believe this is really how men think. Also, seems like an odd choice for a podcast called "How Men Think" to have women account for half the hosts?

Overall great podcast! Interesting topics discussed with a good mix of personalities. I enjoyed the humor. A few easy things to improve: 1. Better sound quality- the very begining was particularly bad quality and the rest was tolerable but mediocre. 2. Too much small talk in the begining. It took 12 mintues to get to the beginning of the show. It was such boring meaningless introductory chatter that i almost stopped listening. Im glad I stuck through it. If you want to open with small talk, please consider minimizing it to 3-4 minutes, including introducing and advertising yourselfs. 3. This goes along with number two, but edit, edit, edit. There were some comments and jokes that were redundant or unnecessary. 4. I enjoyed the female input. I understand this is what men think, but i would enjoy more female voice to balance some of your thoughts.
