Description

HAUNTED: The Audio Drama tells the story of reclusive alcoholic writer James Hunter, bubbly enthusiastic podcaster Abigail Corbin and police officer Dan Cowell as they investigate strange and seemingly unexplainable phenomenon. Told in a classic serial format with episodes raging from suspenseful thrillers, to spine tingling horrors to laugh-out-loud comedies, HAUNTED: The Audio Drama is a horror adventure series that feels like Doctor Who crossed with The X Files.

A brief teaser of upcoming audio drama, HAUNTED. Get bonus content on Patreon Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
To celebrate the end of the first season of HAUNTED: The Audio Drama, we're releasing an episode of Behind The Haunting, which is usually a patreon exclusive, to our general audience! In this episode Jamie and Benton sit down with Isabella Barbieri (Abigail Corbin) and Luke Hunter (Dan Cowell) to talk about Haunted! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Refresh yourself on the twisted events of season one ahead of this Sunday's premiere. James Hunter handily breaks down the trials and tribulations of HAUNTED's inaugural season to bring returning and new listeners up to speed. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Between seasons 1 and 2 of HAUNTED we recorded a series of 4 Patreon exclusive comedy themed episodes centring around the character of Preston Connors. These episodes are comedic in nature and considered semi-non-canon. They're just a bit of fun and there are no serious story developments in them. We thought we'd release them to the general public this year as we await the release of our Summer 2024 special. Please be aware that the sense of humour is a little more risque in parts than the main HAUNTED show usually would be so if that's not your thing, please feel free to skip this episode. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
The second of our grey canon Preston Connors spin offs sees the titular con man trying to prove that the earth is actually flat by constructing his own rocket. You can imagine how well that goes. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
In the third of our four bonus Preston Connors minisodes, a deranged Preston takes a pharmacy hostage, convinced his ex girlfriend is in danger of falling under the influence of a shape shifter. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Our series of Preston comedy specials wraps up with this final entry penned by Benton. Preston finally stands trial for his many trials and, in true Preston fashion, chooses to forego proper legal counsel in favour of roping James Hunter into the madness once again. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Picking up a couple of months after the events in Forsham, Abigail is struggling to adapt to life back in Greenvale without James. As Dan tries desperately to move on to a more normal life, Abigail resists and seeks adventure. Her prayers may be answered when a mysterious carnival comes to town... Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Working with one of Dan's old police contacts, Dan and Abigail launch an investigation into Crowley's Travelling Carnival and Dan finds himself involuntarily becoming part of the show. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Dan takes part in Crowley's act and is rewarded with a free ticket to the carnival's most popular attraction. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Abigail and Cheryl have a heart to heart about the missing James Hunter as a Dan finds himself pulled more and more into a strange fantasy world. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
The first of our summer specials comes to a close! Abigail has a theory on what is linking all of the deaths around Greenvale but requires the help of a lost friend to nudge her in the right direction. Will she be able to pull Dan from the grasp of the evil carnival or is he already lost? Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Count down to the release of our next special "The Last Indigo" over the next four weeks with these special mini-episodes in which James Hunter records his notes on various supernatural objects encountered in the Haunted universe. We continue our countdown to the release of The Last Indigo with more of James Hunter's private recordings. This week he records notes on a supposedly haunted object; The Fire Of Catalan. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

In the last of our supplemental "James Hunter Notes" series, James records his thoughts on the mysterious Project Indigo and the damage it has done to his life. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I’ve been skipping around and still enjoying it. When my brain lands I’ll give it a full binge from a-z but randomly starting and falling asleep has been a warm blanket.

are Abigail and Cassandra the same va? because I'm pretty sure she keeps slipping into her real accent, this isn't a negative remark its just that the actress has such range 👍🏻 great show, I'm missing the old team being back together though.

I want to make clear I really enjoyed this podcast and had fun listening to it. My enjoyment far outweighed my (possibly over-commented on) frustrations. I hope I didn't inadvertently turn anyone off, but if so - Go listen to it! And the often unsubtle, let's say... um, 'homages' to Doctor Who only added to my fun, not detracted from it

lol I only just now fully read the podcast description - Doctor Who is explicitly mentioned. Silly me

Parts of this story annoyed the heck outta me, especially the ending; the grand speeches when supposedly seconds away from death, and the lengthy moralising were overdone. The Doctor has a no-kill policy, too, but understands when the time for mercy has passed. Also, 1) there's a big moral difference between killing someone yourself and choosing not to save them, and 2) there are non-lethal ways to incapacitate a foe. (no room to flesh out fully what I mean, but I'm not starting another comment)

Bow-ties are cool! This podcast IS Doctor Who fan-fic . Okay, since they've made it so explicit, I'm totally down with it now. Karl makes a decent Master too. No wonder I've been enjoying it so much despite some inconsistent acting and sound design

Rory... I mean Dan... is more than 'an annoying tagalong' character, Doctor... I mean James. Sorry, I keep getting the two shows mixed up (lol, /jk)

This whole podcast has been the weirdest experience. On the one hand I'm binging it coz I'm really enjoying it, on the other I'm screaming at it the whole time coz it's frustrating as hell - Abigail especially. Also, I swear to god some of the ideas have been ripped straight from Doctor Who but changed enough to disguise the fact.

My only thing here is James and technology. He asks questions someone born between the 40s and 60s. I'm fairly certain I heard this podcast say he was born in the 80s or 90s.

In this episode, James got a couple moments he emulated The Doctor.

One of my favorites out there. Pure thrilling entertainment that makes being stuck in traffic enjoyable. These types of podcasts are rare breeds nowadays, so give it a listen.
