Description

Two opinionated, free-thinking, individualists discuss various topics. Hells, a veteran full-time trader, engages in discussion with River The Hippie about all things under the sun. Both stock traders (River, part-time), they both agree and disagree on many things. Topics might include the market, capitalism, religion, politics, history, ethics, books, and more. It might get loud...but it won't get personal.

Hells and River discuss the subject of Student Loan Debt Cancellation as the payment pause is set to end in less than two weeks. And the co-hosts do not fully agree on this complicated topic. As it stands, the vast majority student loan borrowers haven't paid a cent in the past two years, so are we to think the Biden administration will extend the pause, or simply cancel some portion of student loan debt? All decisions on this topic will have consequential societal ramifications. Will they be positive or negative?  Tick tock...the deadline approaches, and we will all know soon.
Welcome to Season 2: the carnival of madness continues. On the lighter side, the co-hosts discuss a rumor that River is Hells’ spiritual advisor and the details of their season 2 show contracts. Primarily, this episode features the co-hosts discussing the FBI raid of Mar-a-Lago, the show’s second season and its growing global listenership, and they touch on some major themes of the show: passionate disagreement without hatred, admitting when we know we are wrong, and American Freedom. Also discussed are Hunter Biden, Hillary, and the dangers of Whatabouting. A lot is planned for season 2; come along for the ride!

#14. On Being Human

2023-03-0345:18

The co-hosts talk about living, learning, and one fateful phone call they had while Hells was driving cross-country through some tiny towns and places toward a new existence deep in a New England forest. All the while, River aims for an underlying structure...this is, after all, they type of discussion he digs most of all. This one is a philosophical episode about being a flawed human. Find a quiet spot and come along on the journey.
Breaking News: Hells acknowledges that he has wrong and admits he was part of the problem...don't miss this one. We talk a lot about "The Joker and The Thief." Consider this episode a primer to what that means, the danger inherent in it, and how we might start overcoming those two fools. Additionally, Hells is often characterized as a far-left "libtard." River explains why this is not accurate, in his view. Much more madness and spirited debate ensues. The discussion of The Joker and Thief will continue.  Also: we're having an event in August that should be a blast. More details coming soon to this podcast. More info at Renegade Quest.com and on Twitter @GreatRvr or @HellsBellsBBS
The co-hosts discuss EVs, energy independence as a national security issue, political leadership in Texas and California, Ageism and Accountability amongst our elected officials and much, much more. Yes, it is true: River is back from a month-long vacation. Among other things, this episode covers Roe v. Wade, other recent Supreme Court decisions, political power, River's political pessimism, AND if you are a pro-Bernie Democrat who sat out the 2016 election in lieu of voting for Hillary, Hells would like a word with you.  The discussion of Roe v. Wade and Supreme Court discussion begins around the 17 minute mark.  AND: Hells and The Hippie are on a weekly production schedule from this point forward. Serious question: why is everything taxed, regulated, monetized by the government so heavily? Human social life has evolved to become a towering bureaucracy so towering it takes a lot of our waking hours just to keep polishing the brightwork. Hells and TH discuss this and more.  NOTE: River is on Twitter @GreatRvr Hells is on Twitter @HellsBellsBBS

#5. Free Speech

Let's get down to it: just how relevant is Free Speech to social media platforms...such as Twitter? Kick back and spend some time with Hells and River as they explore social media, democracy and more in the latest episode.  RenegadeQuest.com
This episode is about a lot more than just Elon and Twitter. Hells and River discuss wide-ranging issues such as environmentalism, activist investing, two-party politics, colonizing Mars, student loan debt, wants vs. needs, idealism vs. practicality, is Elon buying Tesla good for TSLA bulls, the Cybertruck and more.  Greetings to our new subscribers and friends; there are big things in store for the show unfolding over the rest of this year. More info about "Hells and the Hippie" at www.renegadequest.com
Listen to Hells and the Hippie discuss and debate points relevant to Elon Musk's vision, companies, and recent bid to take Twitter private. As always, they find sidewinding rabbit holes leading to Freedom of Speech, the Political Left, Twitter Bots, politics in general, and...as a bridge into part 2... environmentalism and more.
In part 2 of the Grand Opening of the Argument Shop, Hells and River discuss capitalism's influence on electoral politics, the will of the people, term limits, River's political cynicism, systemic inequality, representational democracy, internet porn, if the childless can offer valid points regarding parenting...and much more.
To kick things off, the co-hosts argue some ideas around re: politics vs. policy, how functional the US government has been in the last 40 years, party politics, the malleability of humans, America as The Bright Light and more. Hells also accuses River of broadstroking his arguments and calling Americans "morons." River disagrees, gives (some) politicians a break and argues that an individual's malleability does not make them moronic. River then suggests he and Hells place their ire not on elected politicians but on aggressive capitalism... Part two will pick this thread up.  Created and hosted by HellsBells and TheGreatRiver Produced by The Hippie *This episode is excerpted from the podcast Riverside Chats: Deep Dives into All Things BlackBoxStocks
