In this episode of Voice Unbound, Laura reflects on the opportunities that shape our lives. The ones we say yes to, the ones we miss, and the ones we don’t even realize were there at the time. She shares personal insight on why being in the right rooms matters, including stepping into an opportunity this week in San Diego, and how growth often comes simply from showing up with an open heart. This conversation is an invitation to pause, reflect, and ask yourself what doors God may be opening right now and what courage it takes to walk through them.Perfect for anyone navigating change, growth, or the quiet nudge to step into something new. What room is God inviting you to step into right now, and what might be holding you back from saying yes?Connect with LauraIGhttps://www.instagram.com/voice_unbound?igsh=MWcxNzJidDNjdmJtcA%3D%3D&utm_source=qrFacebookhttps://www.facebook.com/VoiceUnboundCoaching?mibextid=LQQJ4dWebsitehttps://voiceunboundcoaching.com YouTube https://youtube.com/@lauraardwellnesslifecoachingTIKTOKhttps://www.tiktok.com/@laura.ard1?_t=8nbkhor6pqd&_r=1
Have you ever noticed repeating numbers, certain dates, or moments in time that seem to stop you in your tracks? In this episode, Laura opens a gentle and honest conversation about days, numbers, and time—and how God often speaks through what we’re tempted to overlook. When you’ve experienced loss, time feels different. Days carry weight. Numbers resurface. Dates sting, comfort, or quietly whisper reminders of God’s nearness. This episode isn’t about chasing signs—it’s about learning to pay attentionand inviting God into the moments that feel heavy, confusing, or sacred. If you’ve been wondering whether God is still present in the small details of your life, this conversation is for you.Why time can feel distorted after grief or transitionHow certain days or numbers can stir emotions, memories, or awarenessThe difference between noticing and over-spiritualizingHow God often meets us in the ordinary, not just the dramaticLearning to pause and ask, “God, what are You inviting me into here?”God is not bound by time—but He is deeply present within it. Nothing about your life is random, wasted, or overlooked. Even the days that feel insignificant or painful are held by Him.Is there a day, number, or moment in your life that keeps resurfacing—and instead of dismissing it, what might happen if you brought it to God in prayer?“Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.”— Psalm 90:12If time has felt heavy, confusing, or tender lately, you’re not behind—and you’re not missing anything. God is present right here, right now. Healing doesn’t rush, and neither does He.If this episode resonated with you, share it with a friend who may need this reminder today.
Today’s episode is one of the most personal I’ve ever shared. It’s my husband’s first birthday in heaven, and my heart is heavy in ways that are hard to put into words. I talk honestly about missing him every single minute, how life feels disorienting without him here beside me, and what it means to keep showing up when your world feels like it’s spinning. This episode is not about having the right answers. It’s about sitting in the grief.Honoring love that didn’t end.And holding onto God as the constant when everything else feels uncertain. If you are walking through loss, especially during milestones like birthdays, holidays, or anniversaries, this episode is for you. You are not alone in the in between. God is near, even here.In this episode, we talk about:• What the first birthday in heaven really feels like• Grief as something we carry, not something we rush through• Living through the emotions while the world keeps moving• How God meets us in our brokenness without asking us to be strong• Hope that holds space for both love and lossScripture Reflection“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”Psalm 34:18If this episode touched your heart:Share it with someone who may need to feel seen today.Leave a review so this message can reach others walking through loss. And remember, you are held, even in the hardest moments.Thank you for being here and allowing me to share this sacred space with you.Merry Christmas to all my listeners. Grief and pain are not the same thing though they often show up hand-in-hand. Grief natural, Gpd -given process It's a response to loss, the loss of a loved one, a dream, a realtionshiop, a season of life. Pain on the other hand, is often the residue, the lasting torment, the echo of brokenness that tries to linger and become our identity. Letting go of pain doesn't mean forgetting. It means choosing not to relive the wound every day. It means honoring what was lost, but allowing God to redeem what's ahead. Do you yourself struggle in what to say when talking to a a friend or a loved one who has loss their spouse. Well I know I have and now I am on the other side of those words being spoken. I honestly can say that I feel each word that is spoken is meant for me and even if it might be awkward it's OK I can show grace and even forgiveness. It is better to say something than the silence!!!! We have enough silence here in the home now that our spouse is gone. IT IS AWFUL So speak from your heart let God lead you and your words will be what they need during this time. I love each of you who are here by my side, praying, texting, sending precious gifts. Your love and words do matter and I am so glad you have the courage to reach out to me. 1. Acknowledge the Awkwardness• “I get it—it’s hard to know what to say. You don’t want to say the wrong thing, so sometimes people say nothing at all. But let me gently say this: silence can hurt more than the words you fumble through.”2. Is It Wrong When People Say the ‘Wrong’ Thing?• “No, not always. Sometimes people say things that don’t make sense, or that land wrong—but often they’re just trying to help, trying to fill the silence. I believe we can show grace and forgiveness, because most of the time, they just don’t know what to say.”• “Grief doesn’t come with a handbook—and neither does comforting someone who’s grieving.”3. Things That Can Hurt (Even If Unintended):• “He’s in a better place.”• “At least you had X years together.”• “You’re strong—you’ll get through this.”• “Everything happens for a reason.”(Explain gently why these can feel dismissive or minimizing.)4. What Actually Helps:• “I’m so sorry for your loss.”• “I don’t know what to say, but I’m here for you.”• “Tell me about him.”• “I’m thinking of you today. Just wanted you to know.”• “I miss him too.”• “You’re not alone.”• A simple hug or text that says, “No words, just love.”5. Why Saying Something Matters:• “You don’t hurt me by talking about him. In fact, it blesses me. It means he mattered to you, too.”• “What hurts is when no one says anything—like he didn’t exist, like my grief is invisible.”• “Don’t let fear of saying the wrong thing keep you from saying something kind and real.”A couple of resources to share when wanting to know what to say when someone is grieving. “What to Say to Someone Who is Grieving” by the Grief and Loss Center provides meaningful responses and suggestions for supporting a grieving person.• “Helping Someone Who’s Grieving” from HelpGuide.org offers insights into understanding the grieving process and practical tips on how to provide support.Connect with your host Laura ArdIGhttps://www.instagram.com/voice_unbound?igsh=MWcxNzJidDNjdmJtcA%3D%3D&utm_source=qrLinkTreehttps://linktr.ee/ArdLaura?fbclid=PAAaaHVomSnuGePxcvGmh28zfKnN909z-bRxndINdYMOmViWPvCtUACcKB1XEFacebookhttps://www.facebook.com/VoiceUnboundCoaching?mibextid=LQQJ4dWebsitehttps://voiceunboundcoaching.com YouTube https://youtube.com/@lauraardwellnesslifecoachingTIKTOKhttps://www.tiktok.com/@laura.ard1?_t=8nbkhor6pqd&_r=1If this episode touched your heart, please share it with others. Corree shares......My mission is to guide entrepreneurs in their financial freedom by teaching them how to create a financial plan that enables them to dream in life and business!BACKSTORYI am a mom of 6 and a nana of 4. I am married to my highschool sweetheart and life is amazing! That's who I am in my core, and the person you will meet on zoom calls and the person I bring to all business. I have been a bookkeeper for over 15 years, it started as a side gig to enhance our vacation fund. I transitioned from full time stay at home mom into a new role of female entrepreneur. In order to step into my new role I had to un-tell the story of what it means to be a mom which allowed me to embrace my inner business genius. I have built my business from one client to dozens and I am now passionately teaching female entrepreneurs to find their freedom in money.HANG UPSSo if you are worrying about someone else looking at your books - know that I've been there. I've been a SAHM, working mom, built a business (while life pulled in all directions), filed bankruptcy and re-built everything, lived month to month, experienced seasons when the paycheck was short, and lived in the NOT ENOUGH. But then...I followed my own financial planning program to level up in every area of life. We sold everything and experienced true financial freedom no longer controlled by time or money. My dream is for all entrepreneurs, but honestly humans in general to experience abundant wealth and financial freedom in the same way I have. I cannot wait to guide you on your own journey of leveling up and help you write your own story. BELIEFSI believe your story is HUGE and when you feel empowered to control your finances you also feel empowered to stop letting money control you. Instead YOU start telling your money where to go. When you feel empowered financially you get to live those BIG DREAMS! I want to walk hand in hand with you as you embrace YOUR STORY and develop the strength to overcome any obstacle.Always a pleasure to have guest on my podcast.....It was so fun having Corree on my podcast!
