This sermon marks our last message in Job. As we approach the end of the book, we find Job in a state of restoration. This doesn’t negate the trauma he endured. However, there is a very real sense of moving forward in not only the narrative but also in Job’s life. How can he do this after walking through unimaginable suffering and heartache? What do you do when the trauma is over, and it’s time to move forward? How do you pick up the pieces and turn the page to a new chapter in life? In this message, we will hear God’s response to Job. God speaks to him not in anger, but in a way that corrects his misunderstandings and renews his confidence. We have referred to schemas that Job works through as shattered windows. Today, we will learn what happens when God begins to repair those windows and help us see suffering correctly. Can you sense God at work in your life? Do you believe he is sovereign, even in your suffering? Are you saved?~~~~CONNECT: https://clearviewbc.org/contactGIVE: https://clearviewbc.org/giveBOOKS: https://abidanshah.com/books/LISTEN LATER: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/clearview-today-with-dr-abidan-shah/id1651006506DR. In this message, we come to a much different exchange between the mysterious Elihu and Job. Elihu’s words to Job are unlike those of his other friends, speaking of suffering as a form of instruction, rather than punishment. This ideology is very similar to Buddhism and the monks who have been in our headlines recently. But is it true? What does God have to say about suffering? Is suffering merely a form of instruction, or are God’s purposes deeper? How should we respond to others who hold this view? Ultimately, this ties back to your view of God and his sovereignty. As we continue walking through the book of Job, we encounter Job justifying himself to his friends. The Bible goes to great lengths to remind us that Job remained righteous before the Lord. That does not mean he completely understood and followed God’s plan blindly through his suffering. At times, he was waiting for an explanation, justification, or even an apology.Do you feel as though someone owes you an apology for something you are going through? Are you struggling to see God’s provision because of some perceived slight? Are you saved?~~~~CONNECT: https://clearviewbc.org/contactGIVE: https://clearviewbc.org/giveBOOKS: https://abidanshah.com/books/LISTEN LATER: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/clearview-today-with-dr-abidan-shah/id1651006506DR. In this message, we come to an interesting part of the book of Job. Chapter 28 feels, in many ways, like a departure from the overall flow of dialogue between Job and his friends. There is a sudden discourse on wisdom, where it comes from, and how God uses it. This is much more than just an aside or a later addition to the book.Do you feel as though your life has been one storm after another? Are you seeking wisdom in this moment of reprieve? Are you saved?~~~~CONNECT: https://clearviewbc.org/contactGIVE: https://clearviewbc.org/giveBOOKS: https://abidanshah.com/books/LISTEN LATER: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/clearview-today-with-dr-abidan-shah/id1651006506DR. We’ve been working through incorrect schemas that people hold to regarding the nature of God and suffering. In this message, we will address the subject of questioning God. Depending on your upbringing, this might be a difficult concept for you to grasp, or it may even seem completely out of the question. However, this service we will uncover what the Bible actually says about questioning God.Do you believe that you are never allowed to question what God is doing? Are you struggling with your responses to God during suffering? Is God Mad At Me?

Is God Mad At Me?

Last time, we introduced the concept of Job working through various schemas through the dialogue with his friends. Job dealt with the concept of God’s retributive justice in the face of his suffering, understanding there was much more going on behind the scenes. This weekend, we will deal with the idea that our suffering means that God is angry with us. God does get angry, but as Job learns, that is not the whole truth.Do you feel as though your suffering is a result of God’s anger towards you? Are the difficulties we face always a form of divine punishment? Are you saved?~~~~CONNECT: https://clearviewbc.org/contactDONATE: https://clearviewbc.org/giveREAD: https://a.co/d/b4ScMKMLISTEN: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/clearview-today-with-dr-abidan-shah/id1651006506WEBSITE: http://clearviewbc.orgDR. Is Christmas meant to be believed like a fairy tale—or examined like history? In this message, we challenge the popular idea of “childlike faith” and ask a deeper question: Did God ever ask us to believe without evidence? While Christmas is often wrapped in nostalgia, sentiment, and tradition, the Bible presents something far more substantial—real people, real places, real timelines, and fulfilled prophecies spanning thousands of years. From detailed genealogies in Matthew and Luke to named rulers such as Caesar Augustus to documented cities like Nazareth and Bethlehem, the birth of Jesus is rooted in verifiable facts. The shepherds, the Magi, the prophecies from Isaiah, Micah, and even Genesis all point to one conclusion: Christmas is not a myth—it’s a fulfillment. This message calls us to move beyond blind belief and embrace a faith that investigates, understands, and then trusts. God does not fear your questions. He welcomes them.If you’ve ever doubted, dismissed the Christmas story as symbolic, or wondered whether Christianity can stand up to scrutiny, this message is for you. And if you already believe, it’s an invitation to renew your faith with confidence—knowing not just what you believe, but why you believe it.~~~~CONNECT: https://clearviewbc.org/contactDONATE: https://clearviewbc.org/giveREAD: https://a.co/d/b4ScMKMLISTEN: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/clearview-today-with-dr-abidan-shah/id1651006506WEBSITE: http://clearviewbc.orgDR. In this message, we will examine a principle from Scripture that is challenged by the book of Job. The idea of “reaping what you sow” is mentioned and even affirmed in several places in the Bible. However, the idea of grace is getting something we do not deserve: God’s favor. Neither accounts for what happens to Job, though. As we will learn, there is something deeper happening. How do you handle bad things happening to you? Do you struggle to understand what God is doing through it all? In this message, we will encounter Job at possibly his lowest moment. He has endured unimaginable tragedy. In a few short moments, everything he held dear was taken from him. Job reaches the conclusion that death would be a better option than to continue existing in this life filled with suffering. Some of you may have felt that way at one point or another. But as God reminds Job, there is always hope. What is your view of life based on your current situation? Are you struggling to remain positive and hopeful in the face of suffering? In this message, we will take a look at those individuals who stepped into Job’s story: his three friends, as well as the mysterious Elihu. These men are important to the story and development of Job, but they are also found elsewhere on the pages of Scripture. This shows that not only is Job’s account factual rather than mythical, but also that you can trust Scripture as the inspired, inerrant, authoritative Word of God.How do you see the Bible? Do you live by it or merely look to it from time to time? In this message, we will examine Job’s responses to his suffering. In his responses, we find the profound truth that Job’s identity was not rooted in possessions, status, or even his relationships. Rather, his identity was founded in Christ. This becomes clearer throughout Job’s story. This message will help us craft our true identity in Christ.Job’s responses give us much to consider regarding how we respond to hardship. Are you quick to look for a way out? In this message, we will turn our attention toward another character from the account of Job: the devil. Throughout history and popular culture, the devil has been misinterpreted or misrepresented. We often think of him as an opposing force to God, but is this really true? Pray for me as I preach this message, because we will uncover the truth from Job about God’s devil.Do you understand that the devil is a very real and present danger? This message, I believe, will be an encouragement and help to so many who are struggling through some of the darkest moments of their lives. The narrative of Job is a master class is processing trauma. Not all trauma is the same and not all people handle trauma in the same way. God in his wisdom gave us the account of Job to help us learn how to properly navigate trauma in our own lives while keeping our focus on him.How do you see the trauma in your life? As we head toward the holidays, I want to begin a series to help us sort through the emotions these months can bring. Our culture emphasizes self-care, but what about spiritual self-care? In this weekend’s message, we will examine the life of Job. Although he encountered intense hardship, Job remained focused on God. This message will help us understand how to do that as well. Are you looking forward to this holiday season or dreading it? Do you have difficulty devoting time to your relationship with God? In this message, we will examine God's foreknowledge. Paul says that God “foreknew” his people. That terminology has raised many questions over the years. Does that mean that God knows the future and makes decisions based on his knowledge? And if he knows who will be saved, why does he create those who won’t choose him?~~~~CONNECT: https://clearviewbc.org/contactDONATE: https://clearviewbc.org/giveREAD: https://a.co/d/b4ScMKMLISTEN: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/clearview-today-with-dr-abidan-shah/id1651006506WEBSITE: http://clearviewbc.orgDR. In this message, we continue walking through the book of Romans. Paul addresses the topic of preaching and its unique place in God's plan. Personal evangelism is obviously essential, but there is something special and important about a man of God opening the Bible and exhorting, admonishing, and encouraging a body of believers. What place does preaching have in the plan of God?How do you see the time of preaching? What role does preaching play in people coming to know the Lord? We are in our series on end-times prophecy, looking specifically at how God’s plans for Israel remain intact. In this message, we turn our attention to the doctrine of election. This divisive doctrine has sparked considerable contention throughout the ages. But what does the Bible actually teach about election? Does God choose in advance who will be saved? What does the doctrine of election mean, and how does it affect you? Does God choose who will be saved and who won’t?
