The NFL is more popular than ever — and that's exactly the problem. In this episode of Locked Up Sports, I'm airing my full list of grievances with the NFL. From the league's nonstop push toward an 18th regular-season game, to a Pro Bowl flag football product that's completely unwatchable, to a league that keeps telling us it “cares about player safety” while chasing billions of dollars from networks and streaming companies. The NFL dominates television ratings, but at what cost? Oversaturation. Player burnout. A watered-down product. And a league that seems more focused on the next TV deal than the long-term health of the game. This isn't anti-football — it's pro-football. And if the NFL isn't careful, they're going to love this thing to death. Tune in, agree or disagree, and let me know if I'm wrong.
On Friday the DOJ released 3 million emails to and from Jeffrey Epstein and NYG owner Steve Tisch was involved in a handful of the released emails. What does this mean for Steve Tisch? What does this mean for the Giants? We tackle all the questions as this story continues to Develop #Epsteinfiles #NYG #superbowl #NFL #SteveTisch

The Queens Baseball Convention was billed as a celebration of Mets baseball — a fan fest bringing together legends, current players, media voices, and content creators. On this episode of Locked Up Sports, we break it all down. We discuss the good, including an excellent live taping of SNY's Baseball Night in New Yorkfeaturing Sal Licata, Laura Albanese, and Keith Raad, and the great energy from Mets fans and fellow content creators throughout the day. We also share thoughts on hearing from current Mets third baseman Brett Baty and what he had to say. But we also address the sad moment of the event — watching 1986 World Series Champion Jesse Orosco struggle through an interview, appearing confused, losing his train of thought, and unable to answer basic questions. As fans who grew up watching him be part of Mets history, it was tough to see and raises uncomfortable but important questions. A real, honest recap of a day Mets fans won't forget — for all the right and wrong reasons. #Mets #QueensBaseballConvention #LockedUpSports #LGM #NewYorkMets #MetsFans #SNY #BaseballNightInNY #JesseOrosco #BrettBaty #MetsCommunity #NYCSports
The New York Mets just watched their core get blown up in 24 hours. Edwin Díaz walks to the Los Angeles Dodgers on a three-year, $69 million deal, and now reports say Pete Alonso is heading to the Baltimore Orioles for five years and $155 million. On this episode of Locked Up Sports, Bob breaks down how we got here: why the Mets couldn't (or wouldn't) keep their All-Star closer and their all-time home run leader, what the Brandon Nimmo–for–Marcus Semien trade really says about David Stearns' vision, and how all of this fits next to Juan Soto's record-shattering 15-year, $765 million contract. We'll hit the fan revolt, the front office spin, and then flip it forward: if you actually wanted to improve on last year's 83–79 season, is this really the way to do it? Or is there a path where losing Alonso and Díaz is step one of a bigger plan?

On this episode of Locked Up Sports, Bob and Brett break down everything from Jameis Winston's up-and-down performance in relief of Jaxson Dart, to a defense that once again melted in the fourth quarter, to a run game that flashed with Tyrone Tracy Jr. but couldn't carry them all the way. Then we turn the page to Week 12 in Detroit, where the Giants are more than 10-point underdogs against Jared Goff, Amon-Ra St. Brown and a 6–4 Lions team looking to bounce back after a frustrating 16–9 loss in Philly. We'll hit the betting line, matchups, injury updates on Dart's concussion status, and what a realistic “path to an upset” looks like — if there even is one — as the Giants look to snap an 11-game road losing streak.
The New England Patriots beat the New York Jets 27–14 on Thursday Night Football, their eighth straight win behind a monster 3-TD night from rookie TreVeyon Henderson and another MVP-caliber performance from Drake Maye.
