Today I am reflecting on what I consider the best parts of traveling.
While recording this episode, I realized that travel really challenges you to change whether you want to or not. It forces you to see the world in a new light, and shows you how to be more open and excepting of all that the world has to offer.
Today's episode is a story of discovery. I recently learned the importance of visiting your homeland or even "the promise land" after successfully visiting both Trinidad and Jamaica. I now understand the importance of grounding yourself in the birth place(s) of your people.
On today's episode, we are sadly leaving the beautiful island of Trinidad, that I now call home, to head back to the United States. In this episode I talk about the exit requirements, as well as two MAJOR tips that will help your next trip to Trinidad be a bit more successful!
In this episode I talk about the best places to eat at, things to do, and how to get around! For more information about the places mentioned in this episode, check out my Trinidad itinerary on my website: https://ashleytravelstheglobe.com/2022/11/09/travel-guide-trinidad-🇹🇹/

Saying yes more has brought me some of the greatest joys and experiences in life. It’s been something that I started to do recently, but has had the biggest impact on my life. So I urge you, next time you're out traveling or at home, say yes to something new. Whether it's tasting a new food, trying a new thing, or just putting yourself out there. Say Yes! I promise you won't regret it.
On today's episode I make my way back to the Country that started it all -- Trinidad 🇹🇹 and here I talk about getting in to Trinidad, flights, customs, and phone plans.
So my Jamaica trip has finally come to an end. In this episode I talk about two of the things that made and makes traveling to Jamaica and to other countries in general much easier for me, along with the exit requirements.
On today’s episode we talk about my favorite things to do, places or place I should say to eat, and how to get around. All of the information mentioned in this episode can be found on my website: https://ashleytravelstheglobe.com/2022/07/13/travel-guide-jamaica/
In todays episode, I talk about my experience with going to Jamaica my 6th country and my second homecoming! Getting to Jamaica wasn’t the smoothest, but once there my first impression was everything is a vibe!
Today we leave the Dominican Republic and head back to the United States. In this episode I’ll cover all the information that you’ll need to leave Santo Domingo and enter the United States without any issues.
All of the places mentioned in this episode are: Zona Colonial- Parque Colon, Calle El Conde, Parque Independencia, and El Chigre for food. Tres Ojos, La Paila, and El Mexicano for Mexican and Seafood, and lastly Malecón aka The Blvd for chill vibes and the amusement park. I will have all the details on my blog ashleytravelstheglobe.com in the coming weeks as well as on YouTube!
Join me as I talk about my current experience here in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. In this episode I will address how I got here, what airport navigation was like, entry requirements, what car travel is like, my first impression, and everything in between!

Being a green or environmentally friendly traveler is definitely something we as travelers should pay attention to when exploring someone else’s state, country, or homeland. These three environmentally friendly swaps will save money and the planet! As mentioned in my episode, the filter water bottle that I use when traveling is the Grayl Water Bottle!
