I love to be in people's money business! That why, even though I was in Dubai, I was so excited to speak with Noemi Viver Grigorian who has throughout her life found the most creative ways to make that money, honey! Noemi first came to the United States as an exchange student in her senior year in high school. When she returned to Spain, she told her mother, "I want to get my degree in America" and that is exactly what she did. After graduating from San Francisco State with a degree in Finance, she started working at Peet's Coffee, transitioned to Apple and is now working for Comcast. I have been quite honest in my money journey. As I explored changing my mindset when it comes to money, I always wondered, why aren't there more stories of people talking about their relationship with money. And I don't mean the older white guys who say you can get yourself out of poverty by not buying a coffee. I am talking about ingrained beliefs that people have with money. It is always exciting to talk about conquering your money story and thriving but it's harder when you feel like you are battling money challenges. This episode is about my struggle with just that. Although I am not getting paid to say this: I MEET THE BEST PEOPLE AT FINCON and this episode's guest is proof of that! As a first generation Latina, Lorraine Galvis, Esq. used her savvy brains and her love of music to get an internship at one of the most well known recording labels in New York when she was only 16! Lorraine's tenacity, hard work and persistence to make a name for herself in the music industry is attributed to the many phenomenal women she considers mentors and friends. The very first person on that list is her mom. After working for the most influential people in hip hop, Lorraine is now an attorney who owns and operates a law firm focusing on trademarks, contracts, social media, entertainment, & small businesses since 2014. I have to tell you, I LOVE FinCon!! In fact, some of the guests I have had on this podcast have come from meeting them at FinCon in 2021! This year, it was in Orlando, Florida. This conference is not just for people in the financial industry. It is for entrepreneurs, content creators, brand enthusiasts and so many more! When coming back home from FinCon, my learning did not stop. On the airplane, I got an opportunity to read an article about mindset and the differences between growth or fixed. Did you know we can have both?
