In our final installment of season three, I got to interview my friend Aaron Burke, lead pastor of Radiant Church in Tampa Bay, FL. Aaron leads a fast-growing multi-site congregation alongside his wife, Katie, and recently released his first book, The Unfair Advantage. No stranger to setbacks, Aaron’s a firm believer that opportunities are clothed in obstacles. Living with this perspective in mind, he reminds us that we’re all writing a story – it’s up to us whether it’s inspiring. In this episode, Aaron gives a few tips from lived experience and biblical truths about how to play the hand we’re dealt – while keeping the upper hand. I hope this episode challenges you to view your setbacks as your setups, as you move courageously toward the future. In season three, episode nine, I got to sit down for a powerful interview with a new friend of mine, John Lindell, lead pastor of James River Church in Springfield, Missouri. John and his wife Debbie have been leading their church faithfully for over 30 years, the most recent of which have turned out to be extraordinary. After his most recent bout with cancer, John’s desperation for God’s presence shifted. This catalytic turn in his leadership produced a prayer culture that’s resulted in God’s manifest presence through hundreds of healing miracles. John’s stewardship of this local body has since taken on a multi-generational approach, as he strategically aims to pass the baton. I hope you’re strengthened by what you hear, as what seems unbelievable to us is possible with God. Episode Resources: James River Church Danielfloyd.org
In season three, episode eight, I got to connect with my pastor on the podcast for the second time, Pastor Chris Hodges, from Church of the Highlands. With a deep passion for developing leaders, Pastor Chris co founded the church-planting organization ARC, as well as Grow – specializing in training and resourcing pastors around the nation. He is also the founder of Highlands College. I don’t know anyone who lives more disciplined than PC, which is why to kick off the new year, I picked his brain about how he approaches personal development. I hope this episode inspires you to lay down excuses and pick up habits that help you accomplish all that’s burning within you. Now a teaching pastor at Seacoast in Charleston, South Carolina, she and her husband Paul remain invested in building leaders and the local church. I hope you’re challenged by Andi’s obedience to God at all costs and are inspired by her humility to do so.  We could all use a little more of that.     Episode Resources: Andiandrew.com Coffee with Andi The Barnabas Network Danielfloyd.org
