The night before, she learned the unimaginable – that the husband she knew in the light of day was a different person after dark. This season unpacks Saskia’s discovery of her husband’s secret life and her fight to bring him to justice. Along the way, we expose a crime that is just coming to light. This is also a story about the myth of the “perfect victim:” who gets believed, who gets doubted, and why. We follow Saskia as she works to reclaim her body, her voice, and her life.

This story is a powerful exploration of how psychological manipulation can dismantle a family's foundation. The transition from an "idyllic childhood" in Santa Barbara to a complex legal and emotional battle in Bali highlights several psychological and financial red flags often seen in cases of familial betrayal. https://www.surgecardi.com

Why would she suggest her husband get a job as a driving instructor? Where he would be with young teenage girls in a car all day 🤔

Oh no, a woman is upset that she has to pay spousal support as the breadwinner! But he abused me!!! Yeah well, I think you'll find thousands of men who endured the same injustice, having been abused by their wives for years, not taken seriously when they reported it, still lost custody of their kids, and still had to pay spousal support and child support to the woman who abused them all those years. It happens, but it just doesn't get talked about when it's the husband suffering the abuse

There's another betrayal story here: that of the wife betraying her husband. When he was punching himself, that was a sign he needed help but where was his wife? Leaving him! He told her the women were a way he was trying to fill a hole. He was crying out for help then, but she left him to face his demons of the past alone. He spiraled out of control and died, because she abandoned him in his time of need. So typical of women to do that to their men! Not even sad about his death, only relief!

absolutely no way is "hope" a victim in this. she had an affair with a married guy. good in you Jennifer for trying to label that to help yourself get through this but just the way "hope" responded to your questions.... she absolutely knew yall were married, the guilt doesn't necessarily fall on her shoulders. Spencer is the douche canoe in this but hope it's not a victim.

Honestly, just because your mom did this doesn’t mean she’s not a victim. She was likely manipulated and betrayed.
