It’s back! Enjoy the annual "Off Grid Christianity Christmas podcast". Hosted by Martin Purnell and featuring Noel Richards and Martin Scott. There’s the alternative Christmas quiz followed by questions for discussion. Expect humour, challenges, thought provoking answers and more. Carols are sung by Noel and Tricia Richards. No reindeer were hurt in the making of this podcast.  

This podcast was inspired by reading about an Anglican clergyman who mentored many influential people within the UK church. Maybe an unsung hero. It got me thinking about the importance of being mentored and mentoring others. 

Martin Scott and I have just recorded with Martin Purnell (of ‘Off Grid Christianity’ fame) our fourth Christmas special. It features the normal bizarre quiz in which no-one seems to know who wins. The episode will come out some time around Christmas. In one of the ‘off the record’ moments, the conversation somehow got on to ‘penal substitution’. Anyway Martin Purnell has saved it as a stand-alone recording. This short podcast will challenge the normal ‘evangelical’ way of thinking about the Gospel. The Gospel is not an angry God who demands that someone - Jesus Christ - had to pay the price of our sin! The Gospel is reconciliation to a loving God.

In this podcast, I talk about the moment I shared a potentially controversial opinion at a major event in Germany. Thankfully, it was in the days before social media. So perhaps I had a lucky escape from receiving negative feedback!
