Janssen Ireland has produced a video and podcast series to support and empower people living with psoriasis as they await access to vital healthcare services. Hosted by broadcaster, Dr Ciara Kelly, PsO Let’s Talk Psoriasis is the first series of its kind designed to bridge the gap in support for people  awaiting specialist care, by providing access to expert guidance from leading Irish dermatologists to help people manage their psoriasis.

PsO Let’s Talk Psoriasis features a range of guests including healthcare experts and people living with psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis providing insights and advice on a range of topics from treatment options, mental health, diet and nutrition, managing stigma and self-image. The panel will also answer  some commonly asked questions as well as setting the record straight by busting some myths!

Our fourth and final episode in the Beyond Expectations: PsO Let’s Talk Psoriasis series looks at psoriatic arthritis which affects 30% of people living with psoriasis but is notoriously difficult to diagnose. Hosted by broadcaster Dr Ciara Kelly, our experts Prof. Doug Veale, Consultant Rheumatologist at St Vincent’s University Hospital and Grainne O’Leary, Chief Executive, Arthritis Ireland provide a clear explanation of the condition and the supports available for patients. They are joined by Irish Paralympian Eamonn Byrne who talks us through how he has learned to manage his psoriatic arthritis and the challenges he has faced. The panel tackle some of the most commonly asked questions by people living with psoriatic arthritis as well as setting the record straight by busting some myths!
Psoriasis does not discriminate and affects children as well as adults. In this third episode of Beyond Expectations: PsO Let’s Talk Psoriasis, we will address some of the biggest concerns of parents of children living with psoriasis. Broadcaster Dr Ciara Kelly is joined by Dr Maeve McAleer, Consultant Dermatologist at St. James’s Hospital, Fiona Lawlor, Clinical Nurse Specialist in paediatric dermatology at Tallaght University Hospital and 17-year-old Chris Mulligan who lives with psoriasis. Topics discussed include how to manage psoriasis in children, treatment options, speaking about psoriasis to teachers and friends, and the transition from paediatric to adult care. The panel also answer some of the most common questions posed by parents.
Learning to live with psoriasis presents its own unique challenges, especially during the period while people await access to specialist care. Prof. Caitriona Ryan, Consultant Dermatologist at the Institute of Dermatologists and Selene Daly, Advanced Nurse Practitioner in dermatology at Sligo University Hospital, join our host, broadcaster Dr Ciara Kelly, to share their expertise on lifestyle, common concerns relating to fertility plus practical tips for everyday management of the condition. They are joined by social media influencer Sarah Hanrahan who shares her experience of living with scalp psoriasis. As in episode one, our panel of experts answer some of the most commonly asked questions by people living with psoriasis as well as setting the record straight by busting some myths!
