Jade is solo this week as she recaps Season 2, Episode 6 "A Thousand Little Trees of Blood" of the hit HBO series 'Euphoria.' Rue is home and starts the recovery process. Lexi is having second thoughts about her play, Cassie continues to spiral as she deals with the aftermath of her secret relationship with Nate being outted, and Nate is finally free from his dad. And Maddy? Maddy is plotting their downfall. During her recap, Jade shares her initial thoughts of the episode. A show that she believed had some relatable life aspects to it, has now become completely unrealistic (in her opinion of course), and questions as a millennial, if it's finally time for her to stop watching high school dramas? The two break down the episode into 3 parts: The Intervention, The Chase, and Lori, discussing if Jules actually loves Rue, Maddy FINALLY finding out about Nate and Cassie, The Chase being a dream sequence, and Lori's actual intentions with Rue. This week Jade is solo as she recaps episode 3 of 'Euphoria' called "Ruminations: Big and Little Bullys." Episode 3 does a decent job of showing the audience pieces of the past (Cal and Lexi), to give context to who the character is now while still moving the story forward. In this episode, Jade talks about some of the criticism creator and director Sam Levinson has received regarding the lack of BIPOC characters, all the naked bodies throughout the series, and the lack of writers on the show. And In True Jade Fashion, Jade share's her thoughts on Cassie's and Nate's relationship, Rue's new business venture, Nate and Jules, plus much more! Episode 2, "Out of Touch" did not disappoint as we see the aftermath of the New Years Eve Party and we see what the rest of characters of 'Euphoria' have been up too since the winter formal as they all seem to be a bit out of touch lately. Nate is in love. Maddy as a new job. Cassie is spiraling. Kat doesn't love Ethan. Jules is jealous of Elliot. And, what happened with Fez? This week Jade is joined by friend to the pod Dyani Carissa as they unpack this episode with a super sized recap. They hit all these talking points and much more. But the real question is, does Maddy still have the tape, and who was on it? Feel free to give this podcast a 5 Stars and leave a review if you like what you hear!
