It's Tuesday afternoon, and there's a fresh episode of Oilersnation Radio set, which means the boys were back in the studio to recap the week that was. On today's episode, the guys discussed the Oilers' potential playoff matchups, injury updates, the final regular-season game against Vancouver, and much more.We kicked off the Tuesday episode of ONR with a delicious debate about which of the five potential playoff opponents the boys would rather face in Round 1. Given the list of potential opponents, features Colorado, Anaheim, Utah, Vegas, and Los Angeles, there is a case to be made for any of those teams being the best starting point. But as you'll hear, the boys really didn't have a consensus on where they would want Edmonton to start. Changing gears, the guys discussed what the schedule might look like for Round 1 and took a few guesses on whether the Oilers will start on Saturday, Sunday, or even Monday. Given that the NHL likes to split up the Canadian teams as best they can, the question is whether the Oilers kick off their run on the weekend or have to wait until Monday. Finally, we wrapped up the episode of ONR with another round of Baggedmilk's Trivia and Tenable. With Liam's game uniting the fellas for one common goal, the guys put their brains together to try to check off all of the items on the list. Think you know all the answers to Liam's Tenable game? Easier said than done, friends. Did the quizmaster have to step in? Did Liam get his topic right? It’s a special edition of Ask Dubey as Devan Dubnyk is joined by hockey legend Chris Pronger for a can’t-miss conversation. From stories about the unforgettable 2006 Stanley Cup Final run with the Edmonton Oilers to life after hockey, this episode dives deep into one of the most respected careers in the game.Pronger shares what it really took for that Oilers team to go on a Cinderella run — from late-season belief to battling adversity against powerhouse teams — and why that group was so special despite falling just short. The conversation then shifts to his new book, where Pronger reflects on the highs, the lows, and the lessons learned throughout his career. From betting on yourself to navigating adversity, it’s a candid look at what it truly means to earn success — on and off the ice. They also get into:• What made the 2006 Oilers locker room so unique• The intensity and energy of playoff hockey in Edmonton• How writing a book changed Pronger’s perspective on his career• Why there’s no “perfect path” to the NHL• His thoughts on youth hockey today and why kids should play multiple sports• The mindset required to overcome adversity and growWhether you’re an Oilers fan, a hockey fan, or just love hearing elite athletes break down their journey — this one’s packed with insight and great stories.Drop your questions using #AskDubey or in the comments below for a chance to be featured in a future episode 👇Link to Chris Pronger's new book!https://a.co/d/061zRgOYhttps://www.simonandschuster.ca/books/Earned/Chris-Pronger/9781637635025https://www.indigo.ca/en-ca/earned-the-true-cost-of-greatness-from-one-of-hockeys-fiercest-competitors/9781637635025.htmlDrop your questions using #AskDubey or in the comments below for next week’s episode 👇SHOUTOUT TO OUR SPONSORS!!👍🏼Powered by @bet365. It's Friday afternoon, which means a fresh episode of Oilersnation Radio is ready to massage your eardrums with an hour of off-season Oilers talk. On today's podcast, the fellas discussed the Oilers' Pacific Division chase, Connor McDavid's 50-goal chase, line combinations, injury updates, and more.We kicked off the Friday episode of ONR with a delicious debate about Connor McDavid, and what is more likely to happen: the captain hits 50 goals or wins another Hart Trophy. Given that Nathan MacKinnon has been the favourite all season long, everybody on the podcast seems to think it's too late in the season for McDavid to get the attention he deserves. Even though McDavid has gone supernova, there seems to be voter fatigue about Connor winning again.Shifting gears, Tyler went on a rant about Cole Caufield getting love for scoring a "clean 50" goals without a single empty-netter. As you'll hear, Caufield's milestone is being celebrated as unique, but Tyler's research showed that it actually happens much more often than people might expect. The guys also walked through the latest injury updates for Connor Ingram and Jason Dickison, two players who are expected to be massive pieces of the Oilers' playoff push. Finally, we wrapped up the Friday episode of ONR with another round of Ask the Idiots, betting talk for our friends at bet365, and Hot and Cold Performers to look back on the week that was. With the 2025-26 season quickly winding down, the guys spent the bulk of the podcast moving through a range of topics, some related to the Oilers and others not, but that’s the way things go on the Friday episode of ONR.00:00 - START01:10 - Delicious debate 106:00 - How does Bettman consume hockey?07:00 - McDavid 50 goals or Hart?10:00 - Ignoring McDavid12:00 - McDavid/Bouch trophy finishes19:00 - Rick cashed his Bouch Bet21:00 - Does McDavid care about 50 goals?22:00 - Habs Fans rant26:30 - The News27:00 - Thoughts on Dickinson30:30 - T.J. The Oilers are heating up at the perfect time 🔥 — and there’s plenty to break down on this episode of Ask Dubey. With the playoffs right around the corner, Dubey dives into Edmonton’s recent surge, how the team has steadied itself after flirting with a Wild Card spot, and why their current form should have fans feeling optimistic.A big part of that? The play in net.Dubey opens with a deep dive into the goaltending situation — why Connor Ingram has taken control of the crease, what it means for Tristan Jarry moving forward, and whether there’s still a path back to a starting role. From there, it’s classic Ask Dubey — answering your questions on:• Whether this is officially Ingram’s net heading into the playoffs• Who has the higher ceiling between Ingram and Jarry• Why being a reliable backup is more important than ever• The Oilers’ MVP (outside of Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl 👀)• Why Evan Bouchard is finally getting the recognition he deserves• And whether this team really does have an “internal clock” that kicks in before the playoffsDubey also explains why momentum heading INTO the playoffs matters more than regular season dominance — and why this current stretch could be exactly what Edmonton needs. The takeaway? This team doesn’t need to be perfect — they just need to be peaking at the right timeDrop your questions using #AskDubey or in the comments below for next week’s episode 👇SHOUTOUT TO OUR SPONSORS!!👍🏼Powered by @bet365. It's Tuesday afternoon, and there's a fresh episode of Oilersnation Radio set, which means the boys were back in the studio to recap the week that was. On today's episode, the guys discussed their first impressions of Edmonton's new friends, the latest Oilers goalie drama, previewed Tuesday's matchup against the Avalanche, and much more.We kicked off the Tuesday episode of ONR with a delicious debate about the Oilers' four pending UFA skaters, and how many of Adam Henrique, Jack Roslovic, Kasperi Kapanen, and Jason Dickinson will be back with the team next season. Given that there will be limited spots and dollars available, Stan Bowman will have some tricky decisions to make if he wants to bring more than a couple of these guys back for another tour.Changing gears, the guys discussed Evan Bouchard's heater that he's been on since the Olympic break, and how this run has forced his way into the Norris conversation whether people like it or not. The guys also discussed Bouchard's wild ab reveal that took the Internet by storm, and how it was one of those surprised that really caught Oilers fans off guard. Finally, we wrapped up the episode of ONR with another round of Tenable. With Liam's game uniting the fellas for one common goal, the guys put their brains together to try and put check off all of the items on the list. Goaltending questions, confidence struggles, and “soap opera” narratives — it’s another loaded episode of Ask Dubey on Oilersnation. 🏒Dubey checks in from Secaucus this time, trading the Cayman Islands for a hotel room, but still diving headfirst into a heated stretch surrounding the Edmonton Oilers — where the crease and team pressure remain front and center. It’s classic Ask Dubey — tackling your questions on: • Whether the Oilers’ goaltending situation is actually unusual across the NHL • How goalies regain confidence during tough stretches • Why there’s no easy fix late in the season for struggling netminders • The mental side of goaltending and simplifying the game under pressure • Whether Edmonton has become a “soap opera” like the Leafs of the West • What’s really being said inside the locker room during high-pressure momentsDubey also dives into the reality of playing in a Canadian market, why outside noise doesn’t reflect what’s happening in the room, and how leadership from guys like Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl keeps the group grounded during the stretch run.The takeaway? It’s not panic time — it’s about blocking out the noise, trusting the group, and finding form at the right time.Drop your questions using #AskDubey or in the comments below for next week’s episode 👇SHOUTOUT TO OUR SPONSORS!!👍🏼Powered by @bet365. Tyler, Rick and Baggedmilk are live from the Golden Nugget to breakdown the Edmonton Oilers big win over the Utah Mammoth. The Oilers found their stride defensively, they got some timely saves from Tristan Jarry, and they got some offensive contributions from Matt Savoie and Jack Roslovic. The guys were also joined by Ryder and Reece from The Sauce to talk about the vibes from the Nation Vacation and what the group plans to do for the next 48 hours. They also talked about some decisions that GM Stan Bowman has to make this summer in regards to his pending free agents and some players who could be due big raises. They also did some betting talk to get ready for tomorrow against the Vegas Golden Knights! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Goaltending drama, young players finding their game, and big-picture concerns — it’s another loaded episode of Ask Dubey on Oilersnation. 🏒Dubey checks in from the Cayman Islands but still dives headfirst into a busy week surrounding the Edmonton Oilers — where the spotlight once again lands on the crease. The episode opens with a discussion around Connor Ingram being officially named the team’s starter and why that decision raised eyebrows despite his strong play. Dubey breaks down whether Ingram has truly separated himself as a playoff-calibre number one, what the move might signal behind the scenes, and how this impacts Tristan Jarry moving forward. From there, it’s classic Ask Dubey — tackling your questions on:• Whether Ingram has proven he can carry a team into the playoffs• Why naming a “starter” publicly may have been unnecessary• How long does it really take young players like Matt Savoie to adjust to the NHL• Why development isn’t always linear (and why patience matters)• If the Oilers’ recent inconsistency is a systems issue or execution problem• And whether long playoff runs are finally catching up to stars like Connor McDavid and Leon DraisaitlDubey also touches on the absence of Draisaitl, why it could actually benefit the team long-term, and what really matters as the Oilers push toward the postseason. The takeaway? It’s not about being perfect right now — it’s about getting hot at the right time.Drop your questions using #AskDubey or in the comments below for next week’s episode 👇SHOUTOUT TO OUR SPONSORS!!👍🏼Powered by @bet365. It's Friday afternoon, which means a fresh episode of Oilersnation Radio is ready to massage your eardrums with an hour of off-season Oilers talk. On today's podcast, the fellas discussed the Oilers' moves at the NHL Trade Deadline, previewed Friday's game against Carolina, line combinations, trade targets, and more.We kicked off the Friday episode of ONR with a delicious debate about why the Oilers just cannot seem to win a third game in a row. Despite having 12 opportunities to do so, the team has only won three times in a row once all season. While there's no specific explanation for the stat, Baggedmilk asked the boys to try to figure things out and put their finger on the problem anyway. Shifting gears, the guys looked at Leon Draisaitl's injury and wondered whether he'll be ready to go before the initial timeline. According to Stan Bowman, the team is hopeful that Draisaitl will be able to return before the end of the regular season and will not require surgery, but as you'll hear, the boys are cautiously optimistic. Either way, it will be fascinating to see how the final month or so of the season has played out. Finally, we wrapped up the Friday episode of ONR with another round of Ask the Idiots, betting talk for our friends at bet365, and Hot and Cold Performers to look back on the week that was. The Oilers announced this morning that the star forward would miss the remainder of the regular season with a lower-body injury. No word on what will happen for the playoffs, but this was obviously not the news Oilers fans wanted to hear this morning.Changing gears, the guys discussed Connor Ingram being named the Oilers' starting goaltender and how surprising it was that Kris Knoblauch admitted what we were all thinking. Either way, what's clear is that the team and coaching staff believe Ingram gives the chance the best chance to win right now, and it's going to take a lot of work for Jarry to rebuild that trust. Will it be the right decision? Only time will tell. Finally, we wrapped up the episode of ONR with another round of Tenable, followed by Baggedmilk's Trivia. On today's podcast, the fellas discussed the Oilers' moves at the NHL Trade Deadline, previewed Friday's game against Carolina, line combinations, trade targets, and more.We kicked off the Friday episode of ONR with a delicious debate about Jake Walman's struggles and what it will take to get him back on his game. Given that the coaching staff has already moved him on every pairing on the back end, the options for getting him back up and running are extremely limited. As you'll hear, the boys were actually short on ideas for what Knoblauch and co can do with their newly extended d-man.Shifting gears, the guys looked at the last couple of games on the Oilers' schedule and how the results could not have been more different. Starting with Nathan MacKinnon getting tossed for running into Connor Ingram, the boys shared their take on the penalty and whether Nate should have been kicked out. From there, we looked at the loss in Dallas, and how it was an incredibly frustrating night after two of Edmonton's best games of the year kicked off the road trip. On today's episode, the guys discussed their first impressions of Edmonton's new friends, the latest Oilers goalie drama, previewed Tuesday's matchup against the Avalanche, and much more.We kicked off the Tuesday episode of ONR with a delicious debate about the latest round of Oilers goalie drama, after some quotes from Bob Stauffer circulated on social media suggesting there was some frustration on the ice at practice. While some folks really believe this on-ice back-and-forth 0n the ice is a major issue, while others think getting into it is healthy when things aren't going so well. Either way, the only way to stop the noise would be for the team to start winning.Changing gears, the guys discussed their first impressions of the Oilers' new friends now that they all have a couple of games under their belt. Starting with Connor Murphy's ability to defend, it's been refreshing to watch a guy take care of his own end first. They also spoke about Jason Dickinson's defensive abilities, and how he actually moves better than everyone expected. While the Oilers only won one of the two games played, it was nice to see the new guys finding ways to contribute. Finally, we wrapped up the episode of ONR with another round of Baggedmilk's Trivia. The Oilers are scoring goals — but keeping the puck out of the net has been the bigger challenge lately. On this week’s episode of Ask Dubey, Dubey opens the show by breaking down Edmonton’s recent stretch of games following the Olympic break, including a massive comeback win over Ottawa and a monster performance from Leon Draisaitl, who put up five points in the victory. But the bigger conversation quickly shifts to what Oilers fans are watching closely right now: goaltending and team defense. Dubey explains why defensive inconsistencies and goaltending struggles are showing up at the same time — and why it’s something the team needs to clean up before the playoffs. From there, Dubey answers listener questions on everything from the decline in NHL save percentages to the challenges goalies face in today’s high-skill, offense-driven league. The episode also dives into:• Why scoring chances in today’s NHL are more dangerous than ever• Whether Dubey could realistically come out of retirement for a playoff run• Tips for minor hockey coaches trying to help develop young goalies• Who should start Game 1 of the playoffs for Edmonton• Why both the team and the goalies share responsibility for defensive strugglesAs always, it’s a mix of goalie insight, Oilers talk, and behind-the-scenes perspective from someone who’s been in the crease at the NHL level.Drop your questions for future episodes using #AskDubey in the comments or on social. As always, drop your questions using #AskDubey on Oilersnation social channels or in the comments below.SHOUTOUT TO OUR SPONSORS!!👍🏼Powered by @bet365. It's Friday afternoon, which means a fresh episode of Oilersnation Radio is ready to massage your eardrums with an hour of off-season Oilers talk. On today's podcast, the fellas discussed the Oilers' moves at the NHL Trade Deadline, previewed Friday's game against Carolina, line combinations, trade targets, and more.We kicked off the Friday episode of ONR with a delicious debate about whether or not the Oilers got enough done at the 2026 NHL Trade Deadline. Given that Stan Bowman's work all got done in the days leading up to the deadline, it's fair to wonder whether the Oilers added enough to keep up with the rest of the Western Conference. At the same time, one could argue that Bowman addressed some major roster holes despite the deals being relatively minor.Shifting gears, the guys looked at what is going to be a very tough handful of games for the Oilers, as they kick off a run of four against the Hurricanes, Golden Knights, and Stars. If ever there was a run of measuring stick games on the post-deadline schedule, this next week has to be it. While many Oilers fans were hoping for more, it's hard to argue that Bowman didn't pull trigger on a handful of players who could help plug some holes. Finally, we wrapped up the Friday episode of ONR with another round of Ask the Idiots, betting talk for our friends at bet365, and Hot and Cold Performers to look back on the week that was. It's Tuesday afternoon, and there's a fresh episode of Oilersnation Radio set, which means the boys were back in the studio to recap the week that was. On today's episode, the guys discussed the Connor Murphy trade with Chicago, the Oilers' goal troubles, previewed Tuesday's matchup against the Senators, and much more.We kicked off the Tuesday episode of ONR with a delicious debate about how many other trades Stan Bowman can get done between now and Friday's trade deadline. While the Oilers may not have a ton of cap space available, the Connor Murphy trade showed that Bowman can get creative when it comes to moving his money around, and he'll need to do more of that in the coming days if he plans to find further upgrades.Changing gears, the guys looked at some of the news and transactions that have happened over the last week, including Andrew Mangiapane and Alec Regula clearing waivers. Seeing the Bread Man go through waivers is an unbelievable plot twist on what has been a rough go between the player and organization, and it will be fascinating to see what/if anything happens with him over the coming days. The guys also discussed the Oilers' dreadful run of defensive play over the last couple of games and wondered how much our new Connor can help stop the bleeding. Finally, we wrapped up the episode of ONR with another round of Baggedmilk's Trivia. With none of the other boys coming up with anything new, the guys went back to old faithful with a round of Senators-related Baggedmilk Trivia questions. Think you know your Oilers vs. Senators history? This round of trivia was for you. Did the quizmaster have to step in? Did Baggedmilk get his questions right? You'll have to listen to find out for sure.SHOUTOUT TO OUR SPONSORS!! 🙌👍🏼Powered by @bet365 – Whatever the moment, it’s Never Ordinary at bet365. Olympic heartbreak, goaltending pressure, and the Oilers’ search for consistency — it’s all on this week’s episode of Ask Dubey. In this post-Olympic edition, Dubey opens with his thoughts on Canada’s loss in the gold medal game. From running into Connor Hellebuyck to the coin-flip nature of three-on-three overtime, he breaks down what went wrong — and why the lack of secondary scoring was the biggest surprise. Despite the disappointment, Dubey explains why Canada still played a dominant game and why Jordan Binnington did exactly what he was brought there to do.From there, it’s classic Ask Dubey, diving into your questions about the Oilers’ goaltending situation and the rest of the NHL season. This week’s topics include:• Why some goalies thrive after leaving Edmonton• Whether a reunion with Stuart Skinner is realistic• The pressure of playing net in a market like Edmonton• What a “successful” remainder of the season looks like for the Oilers goalies• The importance of timely saves vs. highlight-reel stops• Why consistency has been missing compared to past seasons• And whether this team just needs one big heater to feel dominant againDubey gives honest insight into the mental side of goaltending, how narratives build in Canadian markets, and why sometimes a change of scenery is exactly what a player needs. On today's podcast, the fellas discussed the Oilers' post-Olympic return, Connor McDavid's latest 100-point season, the NHL Trade Deadline, line combinations, trade targets, and more.We kicked off the Friday episode of ONR with a delicious debate about whether Thursday's 8-1 win over L.A. helped everyone get over the 6-5 loss to the Ducks the night before. Aside from Rick feeling fine about both results, the rest of the boys were notably upset about the blown opportunity against Anaheim. That said, the Oilers are so inconsistent right now that it's hard to imagine how back-to-back games could end so differently. Shifting gears, the guys looked at Tristan Jarry's struggles between the pipes and how his first couple of months as an Oiler have been anything but uplifting. That led to a conversation about how Kris Knoblauch should handle his goaltending rotation. Should the Oilers lean on Connor Ingram in the short term as the starter while Jarry works his way back up to form? We also ran through some of the Edmonton-related rumours heading into the trade deadline and whether any names tied to the Oilers might make sense. Finally, we wrapped up the Friday episode of ONR with another round of Ask the Idiots, betting talk for our friends at bet365, and Hot and Cold Performers to look back on the week that was. With the 2025-26 season entering the stretch drive, the guys spent the bulk of the podcast moving through a range of topics, some related to the Oilers and others not, but that’s the way things go on the Friday episode of ONR.00:00: Start3:00: delicious debate5:30: I didn’t get too down/didn’t get too up7:00: Jarry hasn’t been good since injury 9:00: new team post olympics11:30: Jarry pull14:00 How do you treat the goalies21:00 Oilers got depth scoring22:45: Mang looks better26:30: Tenable 31:00: Rico needs to be better38:30 What to do with Nurse47:00 Betting talk51:00 ask the idiots52:00: favourite show as a child55:45: boldest TDL take57:00: Coffeys Focus48:30: ONR impersonation’s1:00:00 Hot/Cold performers SHOUTOUT TO OUR SPONSORS!! 🙌👍🏼Powered by @bet365 – Whatever the moment, it’s Never Ordinary at bet365. It's Tuesday afternoon, and there's a fresh episode of Oilersnation Radio set, which means the boys were back in the studio to recap the week that was. On today's episode, the guys discussed Team Canada vs. Team Czechia, Connor McDavid's success at the games, the State of the Nation survey results, and much more.We kicked off the Tuesday episode of ONR with a delicious debate about the Winter Games and what everyone's biggest takeaway was for Canada. Given that the standard in Canada for hockey is gold or bust, it's hard not to be disappointed with how things ended, especially given how dominant our boys were despite the loss. Either way, any excuses the fellas could come up with were all punctuated with the fact that the team lost the most important game of the tournament.Changing gears, we looked ahead to the Oilers' first game back in their stretch drive and how these three games in California could end up among the most important of the year. Given that these are three Pacific Division opponents, finding ways to get points from those them is crucial for setting them up down the stretch. From there, the boys spoke about Brett Kulak being traded from Pittsburgh to Colorado, and how Kyle Dubas just keeps adding assets to his arsenal for whenever they decide to rebuild. Finally, we wrapped up the episode of ONR with another round of Liam's Tenable game. With none of the other boys coming up with anything new, the guys went for another round of Liam's grouping game. Think you know how all of these topics fit together and where they rank? Props to Liam for coming up with a game, as the usual quizmaster didn't have the time to get one done for today.
