Anita Selzer speaks the female gaze and its impact on the female representation in photography and art.Historically, male artists have re-presented women through their eyes. The Female Gaze in Art and Photography redresses this imbalance, looks at art through women’s eyes. It shines a light on the work of twenty contemporary women artists and photographers from Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, the Middle East and United States of America, placing these creatives and their works centre stage.Listen and see more author interviews at https://thegabtalks.com/The female gaze is not singular; it is multifarious, often based on the creative’s lived experience. It positions subjects as whole people and not objects. The female gaze reclaims women’s bodies as repositories for multiple meanings. It emphasises the emotions of and intimacy between creator and subject, who are at times the same person. The Female Gaze in Art and Photography offers an empathetic re-presentation of women, men and those identifying as LGBQTIA+. The art and photography covered is also thematic, addressing issues affecting our lives today: love and loss; lifecycle of women; motherhood; gender, sexual and racial identity; the fractured self; autonomy and agency; strength, resilience and vulnerability; relationships; racism; marginalisation and diversity; feminism; migration and dispossession; and climate change among others.

"Sharing one’s entire life story is no easy task; not for me, not for anyone. I grew up in the ’70s, before the age of information, cell phones, social media, and the internet when the deeply personal subject of abuse was rarely mentioned.
So, for decades, I felt like this was my secret. My pain. My shame. As I grew older and the free sharing of information became the norm, I realized that I was not alone in this category. So many others had similar secrets and stories, but the endings to those stories were often tragic, even horrific, and at times included self-medication, addiction, and suicide."
Christina Vitagliano is an author, entrepreneur, and the founder of the successful Family entertainment concept, Monster Mini Golf. She's also a survivor of childhood abuse.
A unique, candid, sincere, straightforward, no-holds-barred story of a young woman’s journey growing up as the victim of child abuse and how she overcame it despite the odds. Shared firsthand from the voice of a 4-year-old child and progresses as she matures into adulthood.
Every 9 Minutes is an eye-opening memoir that delves into the depths of abuse and reveals how one woman learned to retake control of her life and emerge victorious.
The author will have you feeling her pain, laughing through her coming of age, and, most importantly, raising awareness of something far too many children have endured.
Despite dysfunctional relationships and the soul-crushing torment of sexual exploitation,
Every 9 Minutes is a testament to the power of perseverance, showing how Christina emerged from her pain and trauma to build a life of purpose and happiness.
With an empowering call to action, she encourages other sufferers of childhood abuse to step forward and take control of their lives, channeling their pain into motivation and refusing to let their trauma define them.

--Haruku Murukami
"Infrequent Frequencies, Rare Resonance: Untravelled Paths Through Natural, Practical and Alternative Understandings of your Life, Purpose and Meaning"
Evolution transcends material beginnings: higher vibrational frequencies resonate from the infinitely small, on through the level of the Solar System and up through vastness of galaxies. Conscience is your inner guidance system: your inner voice is the active force of a superior consciousness. This very different understanding of polarity leads to new insights about how and why the world operates as it does when approximately half of the population remain essentially spiritually dead. Evidence has been hiding in plain sight: within the core truths of each of the major world faiths, within ancient wisdom, through modern science, mathematics, physics, and cymatics, consistent clues to the puzzle are emerging. Advanced superior consciousness has been in plain sight and awareness and knowledge of this challenges our understandings of origins, extending the natural Gaia Principle through to the next logical stages.
There are very rare human beings who have attained enlightenment through raising their vibration and transforming their being in ways leading to a much higher resonance. This small group of people have helped humankind along in every generation. During this lifetime you have extraordinary potential to lift your vibration and transform your inner frequencies. This work provides readers with new insights practical steps to help you achieve the aim your aims to understand your purpose and find your own path.
